    Hey guys,

Like it is my first thread, I wanted to ask everyone my biggest question I've got since Platinum.

Except for the mighty Red Gyarados in Pokémon HeartGold/SilverSoul, I've never encounter or breed any shiny Pokémon. (I'm not talking about you guys who have all 6 shiny Pokémon with their hidden ability and max stats on WIFI Random Free Battle)

However, on my Generation II games, I've seen many of them.

Is there a trick or a way to have them, or is it just me who's unlucky?

Yes there are many tricks to catch shiny pokemon.

Try googling "how to catch shiny pokemon."

There are more ways to get a shiny Pokémon, but really the only legit way to get one, is to encounter one in the wild yourself, or hatch one (not counting RNG). There is no trick to it; it's all a matter of luck. And don't consider yourself unlucky if you haven't caught one yet, consider the ones who do catch one very lucky.

I've been playing Pokémon since Yellow, at a very very young age, up till now, and I only caught my first shiny a few months ago, in Pokémon Ruby, so it took me a long time to get one. And a month later, I caught my second one, in White, so I was really blown away, but that aside.

I got a shiny Magmar on Crystal and I've caught a shiny Onix on the Victory Road on the same game. But never in newest generation.

Oh yeah yeah, I meant in the new generations. Nothing has changed, the chances are also the same, and if they've even changed, they've gotten bigger, if anything.
