Alright everyone here is the OOC thread for the RP. Here you should post your SU's and questions here. You can also have discussions with the other RP'ers about side stories etc. Just remeber keep on topic and most importantly be helpful to the other people in the RP.
History:
The year is 2013 in the pokemon world. Three years ago every region decided on creating one big pokemon league. They decided on keeping just eight gym's but would only choose certain ones from each region to make up the eight. They set the date of the league to begin on April third of 2013. During the three years of planning they decided on only choosing six trainers to take place. They did this so that they could test out the league and decided on what to change or make better before opening it to the world wide public, also broadcasting the battles and hardships they faced along the way to see how the audience of such a league would respond. They decided that the starting point of the league would set place in Saffron City now home to the world wide magnet train that connects to all main cities of the world. They also decided on creating a combined Elite four of the strongest member of each based on a world wide vote.
Plot:
The invitations were sent out two months in advanced and you have been selected as one of the six new trainers to test this brand new league system. You begin to ready yourself for the day you will set out on your journey; you say your farewells to your loved ones as you have no idea when you will be seeing them again.
The invitation also tells you to begin getting your affairs in order, which seems a bit odd to you because you're just going on a pokemon journey. Although you know that sometimes there will be tough challenges you don't think any of them will be life threatening since you know you'll be monitored by league officials.
Finally the day comes to leave and you head to the meeting destination mentioned within the invitation. This is the place where all of the participants will board a plane and head towards Saffron City. The meeting destination is Verdanturf Town in the Hoenn Region.
Although this RP will seem like a regular journey RP with a twist on it there will be much more involved to it then just journeying from region to region collecting the eight gym badges and just simply battling the Elite Four. During the RP your character is going to be faced with many choices and difficult situations. Throughout the RP the character is going to have to come to grips with there Fatal Flaw in order to be able to move on.

Profiles:
Sandeon
Spoiler:
Name: Keaton Malru
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Appearance: He is 5'7½'' with a light tan complexion. When he was ten he decided to experiment with hair color and the first one he tried was a light forest green, because it's his favorite color. When he tried it he loved it and keeps up on it making it look good, although if he doesn't dye it often you can start to see his blonde hair grow back. He has hazel eyes and he has almost no zits except he gets them around his nose sometimes. For clothing he tends to wear a white t-shirt with a red jacket over that. His jacket has two pockets in the normal place and one hidden pocket on the inside of his jacket. He will sometimes zip up his jacket and sometimes he'll leave it open he doesn't really have a preference. He wears almost normal jeans; his just have two extra pockets on the outside of each pant leg. The extra pockets are big enough to fit two full sized pokeballs in each. He wears shoes with a red base color and a white thunderbolt on the outside. For a bag he has a light brown messenger style bag with two pockets and six pockets meant to hold pokeballs three on each side, where the water bottle holders are normally at. For the other pockets he has, the biggest one is opened by a flap on the front, when you open it the whole bag seems to be just one big pocket. The smaller pocket is on the exposed side of the flap, zipping it open revealed that the flap itself is a pocket. He also whears a red painters hat with a white rainbow arcing over the bill of the hat and a white half circle under that making the symbol look like half a pokeball.
Personality: Keaton is an odd one. He has to be the happiest teenager you'll ever meet, if he isn't, you've probably never met a teenager. He is always trying to be funny and he acts quite younger than he actually is. That being said, when he's put down he gets really sad and it takes quite a lot to cheer him back up. He is also one who gets hungry a lot and can eat just about anything and still be in shape. He is also super trustworthy and caring. It may not seem like it but he can also be super serious, like I said, he's an odd one. Two things can make him serious, one is when someone wants to be serious and have a conversation about problems or something. The other thing that will make him serious is more like him having a dark side, if you threaten or hurt, in any way, his friends his mood drops suddenly and if it was a physical threat or hurt, he will get physical too. Not to mention, he's good at being physical.
Background: To start it off, he was an orphan. He was luckily adopted at a young age and coincidently while he was being adopted the woman who was adopting him found that she was pregnant and he was adopted on the night she gave birth to her son. Keaton and Zachary where raised as brothers and celebrated their birthdays on Zachary's actual birthday, since Keaton's birthday is unknown.
He led a life not knowing that he was adopted and when he was ten his "mom" told him and he went into a three day depression. When the three days passed he realized that he had gone his whole life not knowing them and his adopted parents where his parents, they raised him and fed him and just plain provided. They just weren't his biological parents. From that point on the only thing that knowing that effected is when the story got out at school people started to tease him. And he moves into a mood of half sadness half thought that can last up to an hour that is if he is made fun of in anyway, or feels put down.
He's not all that into sports, but he took karate up to age thirteen, when he was too loaded with homework to do it. He loved taking it, and he was very exceptional at it, but that got him into trouble. When he was thirteen he was playing in the woods by his house exploring he saw four kids standing around a tree. Cowering by the tree he saw a little Seedot. He flew into a frenzy as he saw the kids kicking and hitting the poor Pokémon with sticks. "You better back off that Pokémon!" He yelled at the four kids. The biggest kid looked over, he seemed to be about fourteen as one other looked to be thirteen and the other two where about ten. The biggest spoke up, "What are you going to do about it?" Keaton grinded his teeth, be tried to restrain himself but the more he did the more he just wanted to beat on this kid. He ran for the big kid, which seemed to shock him as he jumped just before Keaton's fist smashed into the kids stomach. The kid kneeled over, Keaton had knocked the wind out of him. Keaton stared down, breathing heavily, "Now you know what that poor Seedot felt like." He said trying to calm down. The two younger kids ran up and dragged the big one away.
The other one, the one who was thirteen, stayed and just smiled at Keaton. "Aren't you going to run along with them?" Keaton said in his normal innocent mood again. The kid looked surprised, "No," he began, "You really think I'm just gonna back down after what you just did to my boss?" Keaton was confused by the word "Boss" but he just figured it was some petty preteen gang. He smiled and nodded his head yes. The kid shook his head with a smug smile and said,"Then you're wrong!" he dashed for Keaton and pulled back a fist. He shot his fist out at Keaton and looked up from the ground. Keaton was holding the kids fist with both hands. Keaton shook his head, "Sensei always says not to blindly rush at someone." The kid started to get annoyed, he pulled his hand away and kicked tword Keaton's right side, But Keaton caught his leg. "Alright, I already told you, now you're gonna get it." Keaton flipped the kid over using the kids leg and he fell flat on his face. The kid got up as soon as he could and went back as fast as he could. Keaton on the other hand, walked over to the Seedot and pulled out some Pokémon food and gave it some. He looked down at the little acorn Pokémon and said, "I believe my actions are totally justified by the fact that I was defending you and me, at least me at the end." Then he went home.
When Keaton got the letter he was ecstatic. He always wanted to go on an adventure and he loved Pokémon so he saw it as a prefect opportunity for himself. He said goodbye to his Mom and dad, then he got to Zachary. Zachary wasn't jealous of him at all, he thought it was amazing that Keaton was picked and plus, Zachary was about to go on a Pokémon journey in their home region of Johto. Zachary and Keaton's Mom bought three devices for each of them. They were like pokegear, but you use them to send messages to each other, so they can all keep in touch while on their journeys.
Characters Fatal Flaw: He is way too kind and protective over friends and Pokémon, plus he has a nasty habit of helping complete strangers and Pokémon in need, no matter how big, small, or insignificant.

Oddish Female Lvl 5

LordSephy
Spoiler:
Name: Gerald Relnar
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Gerald is 6'0 exactly with very fair skin, a light speckling of freckles on both of his cheeks and a dimple on his right one. His hair is dark read as if stained with blood spreads out evenly all over his head except the face and stops about halfway down his neck. Gerald usually wears a plain black vest over a white t-shirt with a pokeball emblem emblazened on the direct center of the chest, and dark blue denim jeans with red and blue tennis shoes. Gerald has a scar going from his shoulder to his elbow because of an agitated Scyther.
Personality: To the average person Gerald is happy and outgoing with seemingly no meanness in his entire body. For the most part he is nice to everyone he meets, and he is a nice person, but he has very low self esteem and always judges everything that's negative about him very harshly. Deep down inside Gerald is one of the kindest people you'll meet with a very good sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge and intelligence, the two things Gerald loves the most in the entire world are those close to him and pokemon.
Background: Ever since he was very young Gerald has loved pokemon and dreamed of becoming a pokemon trainer when he grew up, in fact even in his first few practice battles at trainer school he was a natrual and never lost a single match against the other students. Most of Gerald's life has been pretty boring, he lived a good life because his parents loved him and were well to do, but he wanted more, always, so you can imagine how excited he was when the invitation to test the new league arrived. Gerald has 2 brothers and 3 sisters but none of them ever had his spark of adventure, they all focused on sensible things like art or writing or finance, not him. Mainly because of his adventurous spirit Gerald never felt very attached to his home so he didn't really have a whole lot trouble leaving his home and is now on his way to verdanturf town to begin his adventure.
Character's Fatal Flaw: Gerald doubts himself a lot, oftentimes he really wants to do something but fear of the possible consequences causes him not to do things that in the end would have made his life better, in short his doubts tend to mature until he is sure he shouldn't do something, and he has also had a phobia of Scythers ever since one almost killed him and cut open most of his arm when he was 6.

Munchlax Female Lvl 5
Moves: Meternome, Odor sleuth, tackle, defense curl
Neiko Star
Name: Melanie Mercyme
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Personality: There is only one word to describe Mel: eccentric. She is probably the most unique person you will ever meet. She loves all that is unique and rare, and prizes originality above all else. Nobody is able to understand her way of thinking, and she somehow always manages to overturn people's expectations. The moment you think she is going to do one thing, she does the other. She is completely unpredictable. Her tastes seem to change every day, and even her parents have trouble with her erratic behavior.
However, that is also her good side. She always moves at her own pace, never concerned with what others think of her. Nothing seems to perturb her, nothing can chain her down. She is like the wind, constantly changing direction but always unrestrained and free-spirited.
Appearance: Her taste in clothes greatly reflect her personality. Her medium-length, dirty blonde hair is streaked with pink and tied with streamers. A seven centimeter-long silver hourglass hangs from her left ear. She leaves her denim jacket (with one sleeve going all the way to her wrist and another only up to her elbow) unzipped so one can clearly see the white shirt splattered with splotches of red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and purple that she wears underneath. Her pants are black jeans, and they bear three large claw marks. A golden key ring holding four keys, each larger than the next, dangles from her right wrist while a simple string displaying a single, blood-red bead is strung around her left one. She wears black ballet slippers and has a huge, oversized black belt with the letters MM written in gothic gold letters on it looped crookedly around her waist. Her right sock is white decorated with yellow chicks while her left one is yellow with white sheep. She loves music, so she if often seen wearing her pink earphones.
History: Considering Mel's personality, she had a pretty normal childhood. She lived in Celadon City all her life, and partially attended a public school there. I say partially because she skipped classes on a regular basis and only came half the time, and even when she did come, nothing good ever happened. She was well-known for her eccentricity, since she often came to school with apples hanging from her belt or paper clips in her hair. Her teachers despaired and eventually gave up on her wearing proper clothes to school. And though she was repeatedly kept for detentions and punished, they could never find any reason to expel her, since she wasn't technically breaking any major school rules and she was somehow always able to keep her grades up. Her parents worried constantly about their daughter. Even they weren't able to keep up with her way of thinking. She was completely and totally unpredictable, nobody knowing what she would do next. The school staff and her neighbours cringed at the thought of her; the majority of the student body treated her like a bomb that would go off at any moment. And yet Mel never cared. When her exams came up, she breezed through them as well. Nobody ever knew when she found the time to study or how she even knew what to study. She also nailed Pokemon training. Many people were surprised at this, thinking that her odd personality would repel Pokemon. Nevertheless, she never entered any league, since she disliked the stereotypical starters. However, since this world-wide tournament offered many new Pokemon and was unlike anything ever seen before, Mel of course accepted the invitation. That was three days ago, and she has been packing her clothes and accessories ever since.
Fatal Flaw: As mentioned before, Mel just does her own thing, without caring about what others think. However, this is not only a good thing. Because she is so independant, she prefers to work alone and is rather incompetent at team work and cooperation.

Legendarian Mistress
Spoiler:
Name: Josephine Harris
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance: After showering herself, Josephine proceeded to dry off her thin frame of medium height and build. She then rubbed the moisture out of her red hair, allowing the wet strands to fall to her shoulders, and then dried and brushed it until it was in a suitable enough position for her to wrap a hair tie around it, creating a pony-tail look.
She went over to her closet and removed two hangers, one of which held a bright red sleeveless top, with the other holding a sky-blue miniskirt. The teen dressed herself, before slipping her feet into a pair of brown boots, and casually placed her black sunglasses over her hazel eyes. In the past, she had received criticism from her peers as they wondered why she had come to classes with her sunglasses on, but she ignored them, as it was just a strange mannerism of hers to do that.
Personality: Josephine is not a no-nonsense person; though kind and caring, she can be impatient and hyper, too. Due to events that have happened in her life, she is also a bitter cynic, and her sarcastic side shows.
Despite all of that, Josephine has the attribute of leadership. Her caring side reveals itself at that moment, and she is more of a leader than a follower. When she puts forward an idea, it is agreed upon after some consideration from others.
In her spare time, Josephine focuses on writing a book. To her, writing is the only thing worth living for. Not the romance genre, of course… She has many opinions about the horror and thriller genres, some of which one would not want to know about. No, Josephine's appreciation stems from the science fiction and fantasy genres, and will not stop until she finishes. Adding to the problem is Josephine's considerable writing skill; her ability to actually pull others into her expressive writing attracts humans and Pokémon alike.
Background: Josephine was born in Pallet Town. She first came into contact with writing during an encounter with her older sister in their garden, who wrote so beautifully that a couple of the local male trainers were entranced after she'd told them.
Josephine's sister, Tara, died in a car crash when Josephine was nine. With her father, Charles, a paraplegic and bound to stay in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, it was up to Fiona, her mother, to rake in the money. Her older brother had defected from the life of a trainer, so Fiona and Charles disowned him. Her younger, nearly ten-year-old sister, Natalie, and herself were the only Harris children left.
Josephine began her journey at the age of fifteen, five years after she was supposed to.
Character's Fatal Flaw: Josephine can be very impatient, which leads to other people – who don't know her as well as her friends do – becoming annoyed with her quickly. However, her hyperness negates this impatience at times.

Spoiler:
Name:
Chavive Prismine
Age:
14
Gender:
Female
Appearance:
Clothes: Chavive wears simple clothing, opting for fashionable jeans to adorable dresses. Her bottom half is worn jeans with a large hole in one knee, washed out throughout, with flower patches along the back pockets. Her top is a blue halter top, hooking around her neck, and bunching around her waste, with a light blue ribbon threaded through the back and forming a bow in the middle of her back. Her hair is held back with a light blue ribbon, matching the one threaded in her top. Her shoes are light blue fabric wedge sandals, and her toenails and fingernails are always painted the same light blue with sparkles. From her ears hang two silver hearts, and around her neck is a silver chain, from which hangs a silver pokeball and a silver heart.
Body:
Chavive is thin and tall—some would say lanky. Her breasts are somewhat small, but her legs are very long, and her eyes are large—the left a dull silver whilst the other shines a gorgeous gold. Her eyebrows are long and thin, and always well kept, making it easy to tell her emotions from her eyes. Chavive's hair is curly, light brown, and falls down to her butt. It's always held back with a light blue satin ribbon. Her skin isn't pale, but it isn't extremely pale either. Her arms are muscular from training with her pokemon, and her neck is long and thin.
Personality:
Chavive is shy in an almost crippling way. She hates talking to anyone except for her pokemon—an adorable male Pikachu named Saige. She loves the color blue, and singing to herself, but only when she thinks no one is around. When Chavive is put in a situation with other people, she will clam up entirely, and it is often up to Saige to coax her into taking down the metal barricade. There is no one or thing she loves more than Saige, and she would do absolutely anything for him. Her parents have often forced her into situations where she would be safe, and not have to interact with others too much, because of the problems with her eyesight. While she adores her parents, she feels it is time for their misintended tyranny over her to end. Chavive isn't overly upset about not having use of her left eye—it's not like she's ever had anything to compare it against. Instead, she simply forgets about it, reminded of it only by her parent's obsession over her, and other people's typical inadvertent glances towards it during her limited conversations.
Background:
Chavive was born with a blind left eye, something that led her parents to force her into a severely sheltered life. In order to avoid Chavive becoming too lonely without interaction, they got her Saige. Chavive was overjoyed, and immediately they became best friends—joined at the hip.
Growing up in Viridian gave her plenty of things to do, both in the forests, and in the buildings and towns throughout. Oftentimes she and Saige could be seen tottering around the town, or in the forests—under the supervision of her parents of course. No matter where she went, Chavive was almost always watched. She never made an effort to make friends after a certain point, because it was just too difficult for her to talk to others. She had no social skills whatsoever.
Saige, who had grown up in a tribe of Pikachu before being captured and sold to Chavive's parents, was nowhere near as nervous around others as Chavive, though he was rather tense around humans in general in the beginning. He became Chavive's anchor if and when she ever needed to converse with others, and would pull her out of any emotional spirals she would and did slip into.
As Chavive got older, she began to realize what her fear of others was doing to her. She longed to become someone who could make friends and easily converse with others. The first step, she realized, would be getting out from under the watchful gazes of her parents. She was stressing out about how to go about this when the letter arrived. After talking it over with Saige dozens of times, Chavive approached her parents and demanded they let her go. They said no, so she attempted to sneak out that night—only to be caught by them.
Her parents realized that they weren't going to be able to stop her, so the next day they bought her some communications devices, some pokeballs, and as much potion as the store could legally sell them. They demanded she call them at least once a day, and chartered her a direct transport by car to Saffron. Chavive boarded the plane with a deep sigh, Saige on her shoulder—they were finally going to see the world and make some friends!
