Okay. The idea is UR control. Check this out:

    8 mountain
    15 island

    Creatures:
    2 The Unspeakable
    3 Darksteel Gargoyle

    Spells:
    4 hinder
    4 Mana Leak
    2 Condescend
    4 Oblivion Stone
    4 Oblierate
    4 sift through sand (0_0)
4 reach through mist (CRAPPY VISIONS!)
4 peer through depth (IMPLUSE POWER!)
    3 glacial ray

    SB (note complete):
    3 annul
    2 last word
    3 timestop

The idea of this deck is to run off either the peer/sift/reach combo (good drawing mechanisms too) for the unspeakable to attack (and hopefull they'llhave to do crap about it) or cast the darksteel guy and obliterate the turn after (see 7 cost to 8 cost), stranding the opponent quickly.

I ran the rays to run off peer/sift/reach to get rid of the stupid disciples.

10 counterspells, not too much, not too little. There shoul be enough to keep the bigger threats at bay. since I play mostly instants in the first place, it's all good.

Improvements comments etc. please come this way. :P

*note: okay it's most likely aspike/johnny collaboration deck here, so I'm thinking i'll need tweaking a LOT.

What do you mean? I'm running against affinity, right? I don't want to use just disciples to counter the effect. Even at that I can't do much as they can stack it so they resolve first.

The more burning question is whether I should run the echoes or not...
