    THE FORBIDDEN CATCH
    The Second Coming
    -=-

Eight years have passed since the Monster Trainer War. The country of Nihiron has attempted to recover since its fall, but things have been harsh as Team Rocket, a known criminal group, has attempted another takeover recently. Attacks against the League have been made by members of the Starkies, a group of Monster Trainers that believes in the return of natural coexistence. Trainers all over the world have been attempting to stop them, and the police forces have grown significantly.

The Viktar Foundation has recently emitted a notification by radio and television announcing that it has decided to give support to the police forces and Kanto League. The majority seems to have taken to this idea, and facilities sponsored by them have become the choice of most people. Kanto League President Julian Cohen agreed to let Viktar members join its ranks, in exchange for a defensive plan in case the Starkies choose to do a full-scale invasion.

In Hoenn, the Battle Frontier was inaugurated today, as an attempt to reintegrate the Hoenn League to its region. A thematic island, it would be both an attraction and a means to help trainers collect badges, given with the symbols. The eighth badge would be given by Wallace, the recently elected Sootopolis Gym Leader.

"And so, the wheels of time have started to twist again. The outcome will not be the same, I am assured. It is time to see how well the worms can handle the ages…"

Vermillion City was not the biggest metropolis of all Kanto, but it wasn't hard to be confused. As the home of the main military forces of the country, as well as a large port, it had its own merits. One such merit included having the largest police forces in the country. These officers were considered to be among the elite; in fact, Vermillion officers were known for being able of cracking even the hardest cases.

Inside their headquarters, a group of low-level officers were preparing themselves for an important meeting. Amongst these, there was a man younger than the other officers, who seemed to have a more bored look in his eyes.

Lilycove City wasn't much of a bustling town that day. While it would be normally the exception, an attack had happened the day before, causing the city to go into partial lockdown. Several public buildings were turned into makeshift Pokémon centers, to diminish the amount of people who went into the official one and reduce its now excessive task amount.

To the young girl who was sitting at the waiting room, patiently, with other trainers, this was nothing short of exciting.

The Metroline Station of Saffron City was bustling full of people that day. People from all parts of the country were entering and exiting the various trains that had stopped. Loudspeakers were announcing the departure and arrival times.

And, in that mess, a young girl was looking around nervously, trying to make sense of everything.

The Goldenrod Pokémon Center was bustling full of activity, as a new group of trainers had just failed to defeat the substitute Gym Leader. Several Chanseys were moving back and forth, trying to help the trainers calm down, although they weren't being very lucky.

In the middle of all this, a young girl was sitting down, passing off as a nobody, trying not to be too distractive.

Bill's manor, as the people of Cerulean City called the odd lighthouse building, was a now-abandoned building, despite being the main hub of the Pokémon transfer network. That was due to the fact that the building was currently under reconstruction, given its decrepit state. The only person who used to go there nowadays, Bill himself, was too busy at Johto to be able to give his other lair attention.

Therefore, a police officer walking towards the building, with a Pichu on his shoulder trying to hold on, would be reckoned as something odd.

    And so… it starts.

    *RP INITIATED*

(First post is for characterization. Afterwards, we'll really start things.)

    Silence...

Was this real... or just a dream?... or maybe both...

Her pupils were white... devoid of any blood circulation...

Red... blue... green... never had she seen any of them and yet... she knew of them... she could grasp their form...

"What do you see?" he asked her, standing at her side...

    Suffering... sorrow...

This place was haunted by the souls of the fallen. Tears gathered into this place... and she could see the air twist as a current of souls passed over their head, carrying shattered dreams with them...

She could see the grass, growing from the copses and blood...

"I see... the future..." she said in an eeriely distant voice...

The sorrow, the souls, the suffering... and various broken remains of memories were all gathered here, forming an alternate, invinsible world that existed parallel to the physical world... a world of silence... a world of regrets... a world plunged in darkness... a world consumed by an all-too familiar force...

"... but I will prevent this." her voice became determined and precise.

"The spirit world... and the physical world... shall reunite... It is Fate. You cannot do anything. This is not your world..." he replied, mocking her.

    She didn't care...

"Fine then... I shall be born... and my existence will negate your world of non-existence." she replied back.

"You are wasting your time. This world is already mine. Do not waste your energy over a doomed world!" she did not listen... there was still time... she felt it... there was still time...

    ...

She woke up. This dream again...

"Are you alright Ex?" asked her trainer, worried.

Ex Lightheart, an energic female Pichu, smiled and turned to her trainer, Smith Void. "Of course! It was nothing!" she replied in a high-pitched but very clear voice. Her words had been perfectly human... which was rather strange considering that she is a Pokemon... and although she was a Pichu, her voice was that of a grown-up... which is normal considering that she is an adult.

After a traumatizing event, months ago, her growth had been stunted and as such, although she grew to be an adult, she remained in her child Evolution form. It was awkward... but Ex was used to it and even enjoyed the benefits of her smaller frame.

Ex turned toward the horizon... or more exactely, where Bill's house was. Time for them to move on...

The human and the Pokemon stared at each others, nodded, and then continued their journey toward the nearly abandonned building. With some luck, the trainers in the area will ignore them and let them be... but it really didn't matter. Ex was not your average Pichu... and she doubted that she would have any trouble taking on any Pokemon or trainer that may dare to stand in their way.

"Oy, Aru..." Fyuuyi whispered toward her Umbreon, not seeming to move her mouth as she gazed around the common sight: a bustling pokemon center. The Umbreon at her side lazily tilted his head up at her and nodded at nothing at all, just to show he was paying attention. The girl nodded and grinned, shutting one eye and quickly pointing her left hands index finger at one of the spoiled-looking trainers in the center, who was asking for directions with a wad of high vocabulary. "Aru, you think you could snatch off a nice little bag of money from the prissypants over there?"
Aruruji was now full awake, and he nodded, making his eyes wide as a sign that he was very excited. Fyuuyi made a low chuckle and then muttered, "Try it out."
The Umbreon nodded and leaped to his feet, stretching and slowly moving through the crowd and towards the young boy and his Porygon. Aruruji's stray appearance instantly caught the eyes of the redhead.
"Hey! That's a stray! This is a pokemon center, right?! You don't let filthy strays in so they can scratch my Porygon!" he yelled in a high-pitched voice at Nurse Joy, who blushed.
"Uhh..." Her voice failed her as Aruruji gave a small whimper and leaned against the boy's left leg.
"Hey! It's kinda cute! Maybe I'll-" before the boy finished his sentence, Aruruji leaped up and snatched his wallet, which he held in his hand. The Umbreon quickly fled from the pokemon center, and nobody noticed as a young girl ran after him in the sound of the young rich boy's rants and cries.

OOC: Sorry it took so long! I had a question (a stupid one), and plus everytime I try to come on here this morning (save for when I made a quick post in Ancient Dynasty), PC gives me a lame Database Error. T.T Grr.... Anyway, here goes!

    IC:

She sat watching everyone; observing the chaos around her. Things were always hectic when it came to the centers. Trainers with injured pokemon and slaves, trainers injured themselves sometimes even. Her crystalline blue eyes scanning one couple of trainers who were talking hurriedly with another trainer about how they had attempted to climb up some shear cliffs, and failed. They looked bruised and battered, and the male of the two was limping slightly. They also explained that their pokemon had been exhausted by their trek. The trainer they were talking to didn't really seem to care too much.

People were interesting to Shia. She brushed her thick, curly hair over her shoulder, its dark orchid strands meshing together. It would creep over her shoulder again soon, it always did. It was at that length that wasn't too long or too short; she was meaning to give it a trim. It was impractical to have long hair and be a busy nurse.

She suddenly thought to herself about what she should be doing. Perhaps the nurses here needed her help? With all of the chaos ensuing, they surely were understaffed. Well, there was no need to butt-in; she would wait patiently until she could ask the question to someone of authority.

She went back to looking at the people around her. Lilycove was a pretty popular city, as were many port cities. It could always entice people to visit and come just to enjoy the beaches and recreation. Shia wasn't here for any of that though. She was a nurse, and one that went around to help heal wild pokemon mostly. She did heal others, and occasionally help out overtaxed centers like this, but mostly she helped those who couldn't get help anywhere else. She had seen many places that were far from civilization, where trainers would wander and be unable to reach a center.

A breeze blew by, someone had no doubt landed nearby with a bird pokemon. The gust was too quick and there had been no wind earlier that day. Shia sighed a little, wondering if she should let out one of her pokemon.

OOC: Sorry for not posting sooner. I've been a tad bit busy, what with getting prepared for the Minami RPG. But now I'm ready for this.

    IC:
    Captain Samuel Redwood

I stared up at the clock, willing the time to fly by faster.

The meeting that Commander Grendor was organizing for the young Captains was going to take place soon. As soon as the clock turned to three o'clock, I would be taking part in my first official meeting, since becoming a Captain. Major Follingwood, the Major incharge of the small group was pacing up and down, near the door. Obviously, he, just like me, was getting too impatient. Therewere just times, when the clock moved to slowly, and this was definitely one of those times. Especially, since we were all dying to hear what Commander Grendor had to say, seeing as he told us it was important. Although I was looking forward to this, I was seriously bored out of my wits. I had been sitting here, since one o'clock, and had skipped out on my mess lunch, just so that I didn't come late for the meeting, and now I was still bored. Looking around, I sighed, and shook my head.

The other Captains, Corporals and Privates here were just as bored as I was, but they still had a glint in their eyes, to signify that they were still willing to wiat for Commander Grendor. Major Follingwood and I, however, were soon to become extremely bored.

Yawning, I gazed outside the window, and smiled. I could just about fall asleep.

As Smith and Ex were nearing the building, wind suddenly began to blow around them, as if... as if someone was attempting to use the wind against them! It was picking up speed, and soon it could push them against the sea!

    -Elsewhere...-

While the people in the Pokémon Center and those close-by tried to pursue the Umbreon... it was just too fast for them, and it was easily lost from sight. Fyuuyi would find it later in the same place they usually met in this town... a hidden alley that led to the Goldenrod Underground...

    -Also...-

Her suspicions were true, as a very young trainer - the kind that had only gone into his quest in the last month, and who wasn't too experienced - came inside, trying to push against the people waiting in the lines, clutching a Pokéball in his arms. "Please, let me through! It's an emergency!" he begged, nervously. However, he wasn't let through, as there had been other 'emergency' calls before, which weren't that worrysome... and the nurses weren't able to see him... although she was.

    -Finally...-

A couple of men walked inside the room. While the first one was clearly an adult, the other one couldn't have been older than 18. Both were wearing a uniform, and the older man seemed to be trying to give a good impression.

"Ten-hut!" he said, as the other officers immediately stood up, in attention.

"HEY!!! What's happening to me?!?" yelled Ex, gripping Smith's right leg with all of her strenght, trying to keep the wind from blowing her away.

Smith looked around... he knew he had to react quickly. His sight caught sight of a nearb tree... he'll use it as cover. He ran up to it and tried to locate the source of the wind...

"Show yourself, coward!" yelled Ex, letting go of Smith's leg now that the tree stopped the powerful wind, thus preventing her from being sent flying.

As the wind blew against the tree, they could hear its branches shake... but the tree resisted.

Slowly, the wind diminished... but a loud *SHINK* was heard, and they felt themselves being sent backwards by sheer kinetic energy! From behind it, they could see the silhouette of a Scyther... and it seemed he wasn't alone...

"INTRUDER! I SHALL BE RID OF YOU, AND KEEP THE MANOR SAFE FROM INVADERS!" a voice screamed, before someone jumped in front of them, smirking. He wore some sort of odd homemade costume, which was supposed to look heroic, but utterly failed.

"I, the Amazing Trainer, will stop you from trespassing, villain!" he said, in a heroic tone, before striking a stupid pose. "So get ready to be beaten, and thrown off the lake, like all the other fiends!"

Smith and Ex were sent flying a bit backward by the kinetic energy... but the only major effect it had was to make Ex REALLY angry!

"THAT'S IT! Nobody does that to me! Get ready for some serious beatdown!" said Ex, right eye twitching.

Then, as Smith and Ex stood up, a smile appeared on Ex's face. "Huh? What..."

... and then, Ex burst out in laughter! "HAHAHAHA!!! Look at him! What a clown! HAHAHAHA!!!"

"Please be serious, Ex! Anyway... what was that for, mister? We are not villains or anything... we even have permission to access this manor." said Smith, in a monotone voice that did not betray his feelings. As he finished, he took out his police license to the "Amazing Trainer". "There, I am of the police force and I have been ordered to investigate. Now, please let us pass."

"... and if you don't... I'll kick your sorry behind all the way back to the circus, where you belong!" added Ex, making a silly heroic pose.

"OW!" yelped Ex as she received a sharp kick in the ankle from her trainer as well as a killer gaze. "I got it! I got it! No need to be so harsh..." she said to Smith, rubbing her hurting ankle... "Jerk..." she whispered to herself.

"Ha! Like this obviously fake license will stop me! Now, my companions, let us defeat our foes! ATTACK!!!" he screamed, just as the Scyther and a Pidgeotto rushed forward... and, now that they were visible, it was clear that they were wearing 'costumes' just as ridiculous as his!

Smith and Ex stared at each others, nodded, and then both dashed out of the way of the incoming attack, causing Scyther to strike thin air.

As Smith made it out of the way of Scyther's attack, he reached for his weapon and took out a strangely large and high-tech pistol... It was his Blaster, a handgun he customized himself.

"I recommend you don't try this again, mister. If you try to inflict physical harm on me again... I might have to defend myself." he warned the Amazing Trainer.

During this time, Ex did a backflip after dashing out of the way and landed back in front of Scyther. "So you're think you're hot because you got a clown custome and bladed arms? Well... guess what? Try me, loser!"

Ex winked at Scyther and took on a suggestive pose, hoping to provoke him into attacking her. She expected him to attack and was ready to Counter the incoming attack.

"Gotcha!" that single word echoed in Ex's mind as the blade came down toward her.

Ex took a defensive position as Scyther flew toward her. The second she will come in range, she shall grab one of his blades by the flat side, of course, and then proceed to take advantage of his momentum to slam him straight into the ground, dealing him double the damage he would have inflicted to her if he had struck her directly.

    ...

During this time, Smith stood there, staring at the Amazing Trainer... "Not very talkative? I see... fine..."

Smith turned to face Ex, monitoring her progress to make sure that if she missed a detail about the battle, he would be able to warn her... and if he seen an opening, he would make sure to notify it so that Ex may change her strategy.

Smith smiled to himself... it must look weird to the Amazing Trainer... a trainer that fights without giving orders to his Pokemon...

However, he was silenced quickly as they saw Ex grab the Scyther's arm with both paws, without even flinching... and then delivering a suplex, forcing the Scyther onto the ground with enough might to make a hole on the ground!

"W-what the?! SCYTHE MASTER! Get up!" he screamed, nervous, sweat forming on his brow.

"What's wrong? Your big bad insect is scared of mice?" said Ex, smirking.

The time had come to blast off that moron to kingdom come! Ex gathered the electricity... and although she felt pain as the power coursed her veins, she could still concentrate, aiming at the Amazing Trainer...

Time to unleash a Volt Tackle on that moron while his Scyther is immobilized.

    ...

Smith crossed his arms. Turning her back to the Scyther was NOT a good idea since it was not sure if the Pokemon was KOed... and frankly, he doubted that Ex would have KOed that bug Pokemon in one hit... as such, he kept staring at the Scyther, ready to warn Ex of an incoming attack...

"AAA!" 'The Amazing Trainer' screamed, as he saw Ex run towards him, covered in electricity. "IT'S TIME FOR... MY SECRET SKILL! SWITCH PLACES!"

Just as he said those words, he ran towards his Pidgeotto, which was flying towards him as well. By the time Ex would have caught up with him, the Pidgeotto flew in front of her, taking the hit! It was sent backwards a bit, but recovered shortly...

Meanwhile, the Scyther twitched, smelling like a crispy... bug.

Ex stood there, frowning as the Amazing Trainer switched places with his Pokemon. "HMPH! What a worthless wimp! Using your Pokemon as living shields!" she said, disgusted by the Amazing Trainer's action.

She stared at the Pidgeotto... "How can you endure this guy? He force you into a ridiculous outfit and then use you as a living shield! Why don't you ditch him already?" that was in Pokemon language, unlike her first sentence.

    ...

Smith turned to the Amazing Trainer, smiling. "You may not believe me when I say that we mean no harm... but well, as you can clearly see, your Pokemon are no match for Ex. I suggest that you let us pass." he said.

Then, he turned to Ex just as she finished talking to the Pidgeotto. "Isn't it, Ex?"

Ex's ears rose in surprise and then she turned to her trainer, wondering what he had said... and then, she remembered what he said and smiled. "Huh? Oh! Yes! Sure!" she said, when she remembered. She turned to the Amazing Trainer, smiling. "So... had enough? Ready to give up yet?"

Meanwhile, 'the Amazing Trainer' had began to run towards her, angry. "No way, you stupid evil talking Pichu! You will be punished, and we shall be victorious! TRIPLE COMBO!!!" he snarled, before sending a kick towards her!

At the same moment, the Pidgeotto was on her other side, and flew towards her, attempting to strike at her neck!

Just as well, the Scyther got up, shook off the pain, and flew towards her, ready to slice her head off!

OOC: Arrgh! Stupid PC's "Database Error" message... >_< *stabs server* I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner.

    IC:

Shia glanced sharply at the young trainer before her. He looked desperate enough, and though he could just be overreacting, she couldn't ignore a plea for help. After all, she was a nurse, and the boy was in need of assistance. This was just business as usual.

"Right then," she said aloud, flipping her dark hair over her shoulder again. It had indeed creeped over to the front as she suspected it would. She walked up to the boy, and laid a hand on his shoulder. She was not perfect at calming others, but she knew that most of the time when a person found out that their pokemon or slave was getting treatment and attention, they calmed themselves.

"Would you like me to take a look? I happen to be a nurse," she paused, thinking it would be good to get an idea of what had happened, "Can you tell me what hurt it?"

The trainer gasped a bit, as he noticed how she close she was to him, not having expected it. "Ah! Well... I was getting near the city, when a trainer decided to attack me! And one of the attacks nearly cut off my Vigoroth's arm! It's too hurt, and it needs help, fast!" he told her, without breathing until the end.
