the forum needs to amend the rules, some rules make sense others don't. rules like Do not insult or attack other users makes perfect sense. rules like No posting in old topics not so much, especially when it is about a game modhack. topics about game mods just don't get that much traffic, but when someone finds it and has questions that is the ONLY place to ask questions. silly rules like no posting in old topics just does not make any sense in that context.

There already is an exception to the rule in some ROM Hacking forums. We keep the revival limits in the Progressing Hacks and Sideshow Showcase subforums because a lot of hacks die out, if we let people revive them all the time then we'd just get endless discontinued hacks being bumped. If a creator wants to bump their own hack then it's fine, it only takes 2 minutes to re-open a closed thread if the creator comes back and requests it anyway.
