CHAPTER 1:
In a hidden house somewhere around the Kanto region.
The room was filthy. Papers were all around the place. Dust covered all the things that it could cover. From table tops to the wall itself. On the sofa, a young man around the age of sixteen was lying.
"Finally, The Ash Ketchum is dead" the young man said.
"Whatever" The girl sitting on the floor while reading a book said. "What's important is that we can finally show ourselves! Enough with the hiding" it continued.
"Hush now Dana" the young man said. "Thing will not become so easy again for us. The Order is still there." He continued while shifting in a sitting position.
"I don't care! Do something about it. I don't wanna stay in this forsaken place anymore!" the girl demanded, looking around at the place they called home. "I mean for Arceus sake Dominic! You are Giovanni's grandchild"
The young man, Dominic looked at the teenage girl. "Yes, yes I am" He whispered to himself.

"ASHHHHHHHHH!" Misty cried at the funeral of his husband.
Their son, Harold patted her mother's back as Ash's body was being buried. He was trying to hold his tears, trying to show to his mother and to his son, Kyle that he was strong enough to face his father's death.
Kyle was also trying his best not to cry. He became so close to his grandfather because of the story Ash frequently told him. Stories about his adventure and such.
"ASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Misty cried again.
All their friends were there. Brock who was sitting in his wheelchair. May and Max who came all over to Hoenn. Tracey, Iris, Cilan, Clemont, Bonnie, Serena and the other. Everyone was there to show their respect to the Ketchum family. Oldness obviously got the whole of them.
After the funeral, the people slowly left the area, leaving the Ketchum family and their friend.
"Misty." May called. "Are you alright?" She asked, patting Misty's back.
"Yes." She replied calmly.
The next day.
The Ketchum family was staying at their mansion. May and the other left earlier to return to their homes. Misty was sitting on a wooden chair at the front of a huge glass window. She stared at the sky, her blue eyes still haunted by the memory of Ash.
Harold entered the room and went to his mother side. "Mother." He said. "You called me?"
Misty held Harold's hands tightly as she could. "Please Harold." She started. "Please. Do everything you can do to find out who killed your father and make him pay. Please"
"Pay by justice. Yes Mother"
"Please. I could die in peace once you find his killer so please Harold…"
Harold hugged his mother tightly, tears was flowing from his eyes.
Outside the mansion.
Kyle was sitting on the swing his grandfather bought for him on his seventh birthday. Sixteen years in life, it was the first time he felt so sad, so lonely.
"Hey!" Someone called him.
He looked at the origin of the voice. At the entrance of the manor stood Nathaniel Oak, his friend since birth and Gary's grandchild. "Can I come in?" He asked smiling.
Kyle knew that if there was someone needed to be pitied, it was Nathaniel. He was now living alone in his house. His parent left him in the care of his granddad, Gary, when he was still young. His parents promised to return after a year but they didn't. As the result, he grew up in the care of his granddad and now that he was gone, he had no one.
"Yes. Please be my guess" Kyle said.
Nathaniel went to his friend's side and smiled. He sat on the other chair of the swing besides Kyle's.
"You don't need to smile." Kyle said.
"Course I need to." Nathaniel claimed.
"You just lost someone."
"Yes. But that is not a reason to be sad." He said. "At least for me…"
"Of course" Kyle said making a little smile on his face. "Our granddads don't want us to be sad, do they?"
"Yes." Nathaniel said simply.
Later on, Harold Ketchum emerged from the huge door of their mansion. He walked towards the entrance arch of their home while a fancy car was waiting for him outside.
"Where are you going?" Kyle asked his father.
"At the Order HQ." he replied. Kyle could see his father's eyes reddish in color and still wet, proof that he was just finished crying.
"Why?"
"Now that father is gone, someone must take charge at the order and as his son, I should take the responsibility." Harold said professionally.
"Can we come?"
"With Nathaniel." Harold looked at the boy.
"Yes." Kyle said.
"Just get in the car."
Viridian City
The Ketchums and Nathaniel were overwhelmed by horror because of what they found in the Viridian City. The whole place was in chaos. The police were everywhere. Traffic was all around the city. People were screaming and running throughout the city. The sky was filled with dark smoke. Most of the houses and different structures were burning, engulfed by huge fire. The firemen and their water Pokémons were busy trying to contain the huge fire that was engulfing the city.
They reached the Order HQ and just like what they expected. The whole structure was already consumed by fire. The flag at the very top of the burning structure caught their attention the most. It was the flag of the Team Rocket.
"They have returned" Harold said to no one in particular.
