Have you noticed each girl stayed one less season than the last, well, I suspect, look:

    Misty:
    Gotta Catch 'em All
    Orange Islands
    Johto Journies
    Johto League
    Master Quest

    May:
    Advance
    Advance Challenge
    Advance Battle
    Battle Frontier

    Dawn:
    Diamond and Pearl
    Battle Dimension
    ???

    And so on.

Misty and May stayed until the Japanese series ended. Misty left when "Pocket Monsters" ended, and May left when "Advance Generation" ended.

In America, Indigo League was 2 seasons, they just didn't change the opening.

At this rate, we'll be having one-night stands by episode 2000!

...Though an interesting pattern to note nonetheless, because it's only been two girls that have reflected that pattern thus far, we'll have to wait and see how long Dawn lasts.

Personally, she's already been around 2 seasons too long if you ask me.

Yes, that's what I was thinking, but if you check Serebii, they're many more episodes ahead and still in the second season, making me wonder how long they will strech the third season to end dawn. (Lol, end dawn is an oxymoron )

That was beautiful, I doubt the pattern will continue though, it is just a coincidence.

And there has only been two girls so it is too early to say

It's just a coincidence, trust me, if that were true, girls would only stay one night with Ash eventually God-Knows why the hell.

    (...huh?)

I hope Hikari will leave the anime soon.. :/ But I think she'll stick around until DP ends, which will probably be at least another year. If the switch outs are getting shorter, maybe that's there way of eventually getting closer to ending the series.

You realize that is really just a coincidence right? I don't think the writers intended that way. I mean first off your doing it based on how its broken down in American dubbing. Secondly two companies technically have now done it. The girls leave when their generation ends. There would be no reason for Dawn to go into the fifth generation unless the writers want to plague us with more Piplup.*Cringes*

First off, the original series was actually SIX Seasons for the Dub (Kanto had two seasons, they just didn't change the opening.). These names were actually present in the Japanese version (Yes, I checked, as I looked at the ratings, and they listed the names as such.).

Secondly, Press Material for Movie 12 implied that Movie 12 was going to be the last movie of the DP series, which implies that the DP series is ending soon.

I agree with Akio123: it's coincidence... on the US dubbing side that is.
The season count is according to the US dubbing, whereas in Japan seasons doesn't really exists (at least they don't work with season like they do in the US.)

Kanto till the end of Johto was called "Pocket Monsters"
Hoenn till the end of the Battle Frontier was called "Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation"
Currently Shinou is called "Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl"

So basically there are "only" three series of Pokemon.

That's a very interesting contridiction, really impressive...I think that it might not be a once season stand up though...

I actually love the cutie Hikari/Dawn... I want to see her in the series longer.. Even though I never get up on time in the morning for the damn show anymore... So, God help us... (Or me...) I think Ash and Dawn might make the perfect pair in the series. Why? Because they both argue in a dumb way, tease each rarely, and I think I saw Ash peek under Dawn Skirt... *Totally inappropriate I know...* The funny thing is though, is that Dawn and Ash can be overthrown by Brock. If I was there, I let Brock date someone for the hell of it...

ug... dawn needs to die. She is the reason i stopped watching pokemon. May should have definately stayed

Its a coincidence. And for all you know dawn might have 5 seasons. Or more if you really hate dawn then imagine a region south of sinnoh. Yeah 2 generations of dawn is overkill isnt it.

Well, trailers and other press material implied that the 12th Movie will be the last DP movie, which also implies that Dawn's episodes are numbering...

I think Dawn will probably leave the Anime soon.

I thought the producers just said that Movie 12 would be the last movie in the triology?

I would agree to that though. They STRETCHED the Sinnoh arc, and just like the Battle Frontier arc and the Orange Islands arc, they added some filler episodes and two whole freaking filler arcs just to delay the debut of the next gen. I can see Dawn's episodes numbering too...

Just thought I'd say this earlier: Goodbye Dawn, we'll see you in the fifth gen as a guest character soon!

idk i have a feeling that dawn will last longer then may did but not longer then misty did. just because if u thnk about it wen may strted her journey she almost had a natural talent for contests... not battling or anythin else really... dawn has had A LOT more trouble and i really thnk they are gonna want to follow dawn's progress a little more... besides both misty and may followed ash for two regions... johto was just significantly longer then the second trip to kanto.

    With regards to a second region for Dawn, I suspect that role will be filled by the Battle Zone (the island in the northwest of Sinnoh). Or the writers are going to repeat what they did with the Gen III Battle Frontier and put it in Johto or some crap like that. And then we'd have yet more inane G/S remakes speculation. >>;
