These people are rather easy on you, IMO. A lot easier than PC when they look for staff members. As long as you meet the long list of requirements you're pretty much in. But then .. they only have 5 positions and I stole the last one from a friend seeing as we applied at the same time and they had the hard job of choosing who was better. =D

Maybe you could try it some day.

Maybe I try it one day but I not sure. I know I got my mod postion at AVN very easy but I not sure if I want to do it at a place like TM. I mean you have to be very involve and have a lots of experence to have that postion. I just don't feel I have that kind of experience.

Me? Yeah, but that took up like every last second of free time I had. It's way too hard, because unfortunately you've gotta wait until they contact you, so you could be looking at a few months .. or never, and I don't fit in here anyway. It's a pokemon forum and I know like next to nothing about pokemon. So then I left and went on different forums .. meh ..

*shrug* I wouldn't really say you need experience, but you've gotta be active. They have a mandatory requirement that we log in at least once every two days, as well as give advice on a daily basis. I must admit I give some pretty crappy advice .. but hehe when I don't have school/homework, I'm one of the most active people around. :D

I dunno, I doubt they'd ever give me the chance of being a mod though. For that, the higher staff is supposed to pick, usually one of the candy stripers, but you're allowed to nominate yourself in hopes that it'll be considered; they don't see it as an automatic disqualification if you do. Good thing.

Yeah. HEre you have to be very active and report anything that you see is bad. It very hard to do that when you have almost 1/3rd of the community doing the same thing. Still it better to be a member here since it more fun.
 
It is cooler to be a loser and have no postion job because everybody else isn't one. Cool is what the majority is. haha.
 
Meh, i guess you're right. Bug isn't it more cool to be able to close people's threads and have a bold username? I mean, who dosn't like power? hehe
 
heehee. Yeah. The power is all right but then is it worth it? I mean the color and bolded name is cool and all but still is it worth it? I mean some people will automatically judge you by saying "Oh!!! Hes a mod!! He must be so stuck up and thinks he can boss me around." or I say something in a tread and other person says, "Well it not end of story. I know better then you!" Then the work of checking every post can be a pain if you don't know what to do and junk.

Still I do find it cool to yell out "FEAR MY POWER!" (haha)
 
Hehe. It's even more painful when you constantly worry you're gonna tick an admin off and have them de-mod you in a bout of anger, or worse yet have this dying urge to get promoted higher that's continuously ignored. :D I have a ltitle bit of both right now on that other forum. Bumped into admin at the wrong time and had them make a frown at me. *sigh-ie* ..
 
I would so hate the to happen to me at AVN. I mean I have never thought about that happening where I get Alex mad and he just de-mod me because of that. That is so scary to think about. Still I haven' had any thoughts of getting promoted. I mean I wasn't even expecting to be modded. I just got on AVN one day and I notice the congraduation thread for me and then the colored username. I was so surprised!!!
 
Hehe .. I worked my good butt off for getting modded .. lucky you got off easy xD
