Well we have a dicussion for the Safari Zone in HGSS, so why not have a discussion about the Great Marsh? Having an almost exact purpose as the Safari Zone in HGSS, The Great Marsh was a key tourist attraction in Pastoria City. But now, let's get to the point. Did you enjoy catching Pokemon in The Great Marsh? Do you prefer it over the Safari Zone in HGSS? Why/Why not? Did you happen to visit often? Did you enjoy be able to see what types of Pokemon are available on certain days/times by using the binoculars in the upstairs lookout?

I liked the addition of The Great Marsh in Sinnoh. It brought to the game the popular Safari Zone feature to Sinnoh with a few added changes and twists. While I found it fun for the most part, I did get extremely frustrated with the sticky mudpatches that I'd have to constantly wiggle myself out of. The train line running directly through the area provided a means of easy travel, and the binoculars in the upstairs lookout proved really helpful in my search to catch a croagunk and skorupi.

Out of all sarari zones this was worst lmao. The mud patched you got stuck in and the way to go from one area to another didn't really excite me. Needed better Pokemon there too. Iirc the choice wasn't really that amazing. :( I'd like to have seen Pokemon just from one generation maybe.

I agree with Nica. Out of all Safari Zones, it really is the worst. I didn't like the selection in the marsh. And that in general is a major problem. Limiting a Safari Zone to a certain type of environment is a bad idea, because that lowers your variety. I didn't want anything out of there and the only really interesting thing in there is Yanma and Skorupi. It might have been slightly better if you didn't have to get stuck in the mud every two seconds. I mean, it's nice they tried to make it kind of realistic, but this is one of those situations where they just shouldn't have. But yeah, it was awful. And it probably smelled bad.

I liked that you could catch Azurill and Golduck there - also using the binoculars was a pretty neat feature I felt :)
