    How do you feel about thier involvement during the course of the games events? I think it was a step up and makes them more human rather than life-less drones sat in a room waiting for us to pummel thier pokemon

    EDIT - I know this isn't really thier involvement but when they are at thier last pokemon and the music changes that is the icing on the cake ;D

    I must admit, at first I thought it was a little annoying with how involved they were in the game. But then I realized that they weren't the issue, it was Cherin and Bianca who are way too involved. We won't go there in this thread though lol.

    It's grown on me, and I actually like interracting with them before having to battle with them, even if it's just a game, it makes the battle a little more personal. More like the anime, I suppose. I do like the last pokemon song change too, it's an extra oomf of encouragement. :)
     
    That scene was epic. It gave me goosebumps, seriously. Talk about Crowning Moment of Awesome.
     
    I mentioned this before in relation to another thread, but really, I find this awesome. :D Even the fact that Elesa helps Bianca, or even that Clay helps you with Chargestone cave... it's all so... different. At first I kinda was sick of the gym leaders having involvement in your life UNTIL the elite four when they faced the sages. It brought Unova together. Really, amazing.
     
    Actually, I like the involvement of Gymleaders in this game. It's certainly a step up from D/P/Pt where the Gymleaders on makes cameo outside of their Gyms. I love on how the Gym leaders actually help in the storyline. I also loved it when they helped fight the seven sages instead of having a 10 year old kid (er, 16-year old kid) fight a criminal organization by himself (or herself).
     
    I love the involvement of the Gym Leaders! It gives them more of a developed character.

    Oh, & when they rush in to battle the seven sages... x___x

    I'm not sure I understand why anyone wouldn't like their involvement, it adds more to the story and makes it more unique. I really liked seeing them pop up outside their gyms and help you with things. Makes it a bit more realistic lol.
     
    It is better that you see the gym leaders outside the gym.

    Pokemon on the whole has improved, there is more of a story.
     
    The GL team-up was an epic scene, and was a great way to involve the sages.
     
    i love that the gym leaders play a bigger role in the games. i really loved the part when they help u with the sages.
     
    If only they could be re-battled It shows how far the pokemon games have developed, strange how cynthia makes a cameo in another game, still an awesome addition
     
    I like it sorta, it's better than "Oh hey, gym battle, go away", at least they seem involved in the world instead of just little tests of your abilities, not that they have ever been hard on any game... Except Whitney...

    Cynthia has been a pretty big fan favorite, especially in Japan, she'll probably be making cameos until someone else replaces her popularity.
     
    I like the Gym leaders' bigger involvement in the plot this time around because I like how Elesa helped Bianca when her (Bianca's) father tried to take her home, away from her journey. It also would have been nice if Cilan, Chili and Cress showed up in N's Castle with the rest of the Gym leaders.
     
    It really showed the role of Gym Leaders as not only people you battle to get badges so you can face the League. It showed them as humans who were to care for those around them, for the whole region. They're sort of like Mayors of their cities, Drayden being an actual Mayor. They are into the affairs of what goes around them, it's great. I love when they came to rescue me, I was getting worried about facing 7 trainers in a row x)
