3rd Gen The hilarious bad egg experience

    So I got 5 bad eggs... 5! On pokemon fire red. So I though "hm weird" and stuck them in the pc. So I fly home and I see 3 Prof. Oaks outside... wut. So I go to his lab and he thinks its back when we cose starters. Than the text started taking on missingno fashion and my rival walked through a wall. Than I got a second starter... not. I thought I did but it didnt show up. So than my rival rushes back through the wall and leaves. So I talk to oak again and he says this:
    "WOOOOOOOOAR" "thank you for completing my dream!"
    Um... I dont even have a national dex and he says its 100% done. So I press start and it says im in a safari game. I click retire and I end up walking out of the safari zone but...
    No NPCs...
    And then whenever I encountered a wild pokemon it says cant run from trainer battle... crap.

    That's quite the story you've got there, Perkachu!. I can honestly say that I've never heard of anything like that happening in FireRed before. Were you using an actual cartridge (possibly with cheats), or were you playing on an emulator?

    Either way, since this is a thread about your experience in FireRed, I'm going to move this to our Advance Generation forum for you, as Pokemon General doesn't deal with game exclusive topics.

    I have to know the end!!

    I ended up getting a bad egg once, on my Emerald game. I don't really remember how I did it exactly, but I remember I had to hack it out. Did you ever salvage your game?
     
    Is there any way of getting a hold of bad eggs, without cheating? I don't believe I've ever had them; pretty intrigued to see how they affect our game.
     
    well you tried to play god with games and you suffered the consequences that is why you's don't cheat :3
     
    Same has happened to me before. It is very easy to accidentally get. Especially in Emerald. Having 2 Pokemon in your inventory and one's HP below 10 is very dangerous. I found that out the hard way. It can cause many of your captured Pokemon in your PC to turn into a Bad Egg. Most of the time it transforms rare or higher leveled Pokemon(For me that is). Sometimes the glitch breaks the game. Causing you to enter a map glitch that advances you in the game. Sometimes causing Sequence Breaking. The Bad Egg Glitch is a force to be feared. xD
