The Hora Region

I actually do not know if I'm posting in the right section. I'm creating this thread so other people can see my progress and help out with suggestions and comments. Alright, let's go!

"Hello there! Welcome to the Hora Region! My name is Karen Rosewood! I'm the local Pokemon Professor in charge of equipping new trainers like you so you can take on this ancient land! You'll soon be arriving in Evergreen Town, so pay me a visit in my lab once the plane lands! Your very own Pokémon legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams and adventures with Pokémon awaits! Let's go, and make sure to wear a winter jacket! It gets really cold here!"


MAP OVERVIEW​

The Hora Region is pair of large landmasses at the northern part of the world. Up until recently, frequent storms often halted the region's exploration, and people have just started arriving to the region's shores. Hora is a land of extremes, even the landscape was unaffected by the test of time, for which the region was named. Dense snowy forests and jagged cliffs call the northern part of the region home, while deserts and tropical islands lie in the south. These extreme climates have caused the locals to believe that legendary Pokemon are playing their part in the weather. Water, Fire, and Grass-type Pokemon seem to be far more common in this land.

20 years later, the Hora region is booming! Cities have sprung up and the population skyrocketed, but the landscape still remains untameable and dangerous. Will humans be able to tame the harsh landscape of Hora?

Evergreen Town is where most of the newbie trainers arrive via plane, there ARE some locals though, such as Pokemon Trainers Luke and Val.

THE FAKEDEX​

The Sapling Pokemon
GRASS

Tropeed are grass type Pokemon loved by many due to their friendliness and ease of training. They gather around sunny fields to absorb sunlight for growth.

#002 SHRUBBARK
The Foliage Pokemon
GRASS
--------------------------
Shrubbark forage for food in the great forests of the Hora Region. They form groups with Tropeed and Arborous for protection.

#003 ARBOROUS
The Tending Pokemon
GRASS ROCK
--------------------------
Evolution has made their hide as tough as rock. These gentle giants roam forests and help trees spread using the seeds on their bodies.

#004 PYRICK
The Avian Pokemon
FIRE
--------------------------
Pyrick reside in nests along the rocky mountains of the Hora Region. They remain mostly in the air for most of their early life, aided by their internal body temperature.

#005 TINORCH
The Bird of Prey Pokemon
FIRE
--------------------------
A Pokemon with acute hunting senses, Tinorch are fast fliers and rely on their speed to catch prey. They can spit flames at 2,000 degrees F.

#006 IGNIPHON
The Firebird Pokemon
FIRE FLYING
--------------------------
Igniphon are masters of both aerial and land-based combat. Their internal temperature generates so much energy that they can fight for hours on end.

#007 NEWTIDE
The Newt Pokemon
WATER
--------------------------
Newtide live in shallow lakes and rivers in the Hora Region's valleys. They frequently explore and spar with other Pokemon in the area in an effort to improve themselves.

#008 AQUARREL
The Scuffle Pokemon
WATER
--------------------------
Their arms are highly evolved from training. Aquarrel have damp skin that softens attacks against them. They often seek out worthy opponents and have been seen scaling waterfalls as a form of training.

#009 SALASMACK
The Fighter Pokemon
WATER FIGHTING
--------------------------
They work on their endurance by climbing entire mountains. Salasmack are fierce fighters and can throw powerful punches at their enemies' weak points.

#010 FUSSKY
The Husky Pokemon
NORMAL
--------------------------
Fussky are common Pokemon that live near towns and cities with a relatively cold climate. Children enjoy playing with them because of their hyperactive nature and cold huggable fur.

#011 ARCTILUPE
The Direwolf Pokemon
NORMAL ICE
--------------------------
The fur of an Arctilupe acts as a literal cold-storage that gathers cold air. They can utilise this stored energy for ice-type attacks in battle and somehow improve their endurance.

#012 EYREZ
The Mountain Chick Pokemon
NORMAL FLYING
--------------------------
Eyrez have highly developed eyes that help them see far off in the distance. These senses help them keep away from danger as they gather their strength for evolution.

#013 BURKLET
The Aerial Pokemon
NORMAL FLYING
--------------------------
Burklet are bird Pokemon that soar above the skies of the Hora Region. They hunt in groups and execute perfectly synchronised aerial acrobatics to catch their prey.

#014 SCAQUILLA
The Raptor Pokemon
NORMAL FLYING
--------------------------
Their brown and black feathers help them remain almost invisible when flying in the rocky mountains of Hora. Thick feathers have given them resistance to cold environments, where most of their prey reside.
They work on their endurance by climbing entire mountains. Salasmack are fierce fighters and can throw powerful punches at their enemies' weak points.

Yes, there's a ton of Pokemon still missing.

And here is the Legendary Trio of Hora- The Primordial Dragons~

Primordial Life Pokemon
DRAGON GRASS

Alderake is said to have overseen the first growth of vegetation in the region. Its body is as tough as the harsh landscape that the region is known for. Seedlings often drop from its body, creating dense overgrown forests in its wake.

#??? CINDRAGO
Primordial Flame Pokemon
DRAGON FIRE
--------------------------
Cindrago sleeps within a volcano in the Ingle Islands. It is said that this Pokemon's rage caused volcanoes to erupt erratically, creating the extremely tall mountains that Hora has today. It is the most violent of the three primordial dragons, and will not hesitate to descend from its volcanic home.

Hydrogon is seen as the source of the first problems exploring the region. The sea was so violent in the past, that sailors refused to sail anywhere near the uncharted lands. It was suspected that Hydrogon left its home in the ocean and has moved inland, due to the seas being calmer than they ever were.

NOTABLE PEOPLE​

Professor Karen Rosewood

She studies the effects Pokemon have on their trainers. She gives out starter Pokemon to the newbies at Evergreen Town. At only 21 years old, she is considered a prodigy among professors.

Gym Leader Octavia
--------------------------
The active Gym Leader in Redleaf Town. She uses both a four-pokemon team composed of flying and normal type Pokemon. When defeated, she rewards the trainer with the Talon Badge. She's short.

Elite Four Kassie
--------------------------
Kassie is the first of the Elite Four, who were all childhood friends and traveled Hora together. She, like the other Elite Four, can mega-evolve her Pokemon.

Elite Four Keith
--------------------------
Keith is the tactician of the Elite Four. He uses well-thought-out strategies to deal with challengers.

Elite Four Leena
--------------------------
Leena uses a team with no two Pokemon having the same type. She uses quick, unexpected moves to get an advantage.

Elite Four Grey
--------------------------
Grey battles using two Pokemon at a time, with the perfect combination of attack and defence. He is quick to fire up and loves a challenge.
