So, Team Death Note are dead... I'd like to think that Teru actually fully intended to commit suicide there, considering that it'd be completely in character for him to do so after Light's death.

Either way, they were completely outclassed in terms of physical ability, so it definitely makes sense in terms of logic for them to die quickly.
