Radio Tower Power Hour! Pts 1 & 2

"Grecko are you there?" Scythe questions in a hurry. "you need to meet up with the other Dex Holders outside of Bills house" Grecko says hanging up the phone.
"This doesn't sound good at all…Chukapis come on we gotta go!" Scythe hollers to the electric mouse as the two run out of the gym.

Scythe sprints through Goldenrod City, with Chukapis barley hanging on to his shoulder. As the two continue to run, the towns people throw them glances that makes Scythe feel uncomfortable. "Something's going down.." he thinks to himself as he turns the corner to Bills.

Once there, Scythe sees the other dex holders standing along side Bill. "I guess I was the last one to take my gym battle!" He laughs quietly as he rubs the back of his head and walks over to the others.

"Everyone Grecko wanted me to let you know what has caused the Tauros to go crazy yesterday" Bill says in a panic. "Huh? Why does it even matter? And where is Grecko and everyone.." Scythe whispers to Chukapis as he continues to listen.

"Apparently there is some kind of strange signal being broadcasted over the Radio tower from right here in Golden Rod, Grecko, Gage and the rest of them went to check it out this morning….." He says pausing…

"Wait…so than that means that Grecko could be in some kind of trouble…I have got to help him!" Scythe shouts as he and the other dex holders rush off towards the radio tower.

"Oh dear me oh my, I was supposed to keep them here" Bill says as he worries over the well being of the trainers.

"Man were like our own little posse of superheroes" Scythe laughs as looks over at the other trainers also running to the tower. "But something is off about a few of them…I mean where did they go last night." He continues to ponder as they reach the tower.

As the dex holders approach the radio tower they see the men from the slowpoke well standing at the doorway. That's when it hit Scythe, "Ressurrected Team Rocket Leader? So Giovanni is alive.."

"You guys need to stop this!" "Pika!" Scythe and Chukapis exclaim madly at the rocket members. The other dex holders also begin to yell at them.

Instead of getting a response, the rocket members just point up into the sky and laugh. "What's that mea…n? Scythe asks until he looks up in the sky and sees a flock of Fearow and Honchkrow flying straight for them.

"Easter come on out! You to Shellder!" Scythe roars as he sends out two pokemon. "FLUUU" "SHELL DAA!" the two pokemon chant as a Fearow and Honchkrow land down in front of them.

"PI?" Chukapis asks Scythe. "I know you could fry these bird pokemon, but we gotta give everyone else a turn to battle to…plus you just won a gym badge for me so take a break." Scythe explains to his starter as it sits down beside him.

"Ok Easter use pound! Shellder give it a boost with an icicle Spear!" Scythe commands the two teammates.

"DAA!" Shellder roars as it sends an icicle flying through the air. Easter than jumps onto the icicle, as if it were surfing.

The icicle and Easter draw closer and closer to the Fearow and the Honchkrow. Easter then dives off the icicle which sends it crashing into the Honchkrow and then Easter pounds into the Fearow sending it flying into the Honchkrow.

The two bird pokemon get back up and start flying for Easter and Shellder. "Easter use Endure! Shellder use Protect!" Scythe swiftly shouts out to the pokemon. The bird pokemon than attack Scythe's pokemon, but the attacks are unaffective.

"Now Shellder use supersonic!" Scythe than cries out. "Shell!" Shellder chants as it sends a wave of confusion hurtling into the Fearow and Honchkrow.

"Now while there confused, Easter use quick attack on both of them." Scythe than commands.

"FLUUUU FLUUU!" the Flopunny chants as it speeds down the battle field smacking into both enemies. "FEAROWW!!!!" "HOOOOO!" the two yell as they take off back into the sky.

"PIKACHU!" Chukapis tugs on Scythe's jacket. "What is it?" Scythe asks as he returns Shellder and Easter. "PI PIKA!" Chukapis points at the doorway, as all the rocket grunts take off through them.

"What are they up to?" Scythe wonders as he, Chukapis and the other dex holders strom for the doors.

"Ahhh!" Scythe stops and falls to the ground as the dex holders leave him behind and continue through the entrance. "Ahhh damn these headaches I swear…!" Scythe screams in agony as he rubs his head. "Pi?" Chukapis asks in a worried manner.

"I'm fine Chukapis…let's go the others need us." Scythe says as he stands back up and enters the radio tower.

Scythe makes his way into the lobby and notices that it may have been a trap. Standing in front of the trainers are all of the rocket grunts, who are raring and ready to go. "Why do we always fall for these traps?" he thinks to himself as the grunt across lets out a pokemon.
"WEEEEEEZZZ!" two, huge, green, puffballs coughed as smoked flew out of there vents. "Ha we can take that! Let's go Ariados!" Scythe says with a smirk as he sends out his bug pokemon.

"DOS DOS!" Ariados hisses as it emerges from it's pokeball. "There's no way in hell that bug will stop us!" The rocket grunt points and laughs.

"You'd be surprised!" Scythe hollers back with a look of mystery. "PIKA!" Chukapis yells out in agreement with Scythe.

"Pshhh ok, Weezing use Smog!" "WEEEEEZZZ!" the Weezing coughed as it send huge clouds of smog flying throughout the lobby.

"Ahh I can't see but Ariados can! Ariados use the Smog to your advantage and use Bug Bite!" Scythe quickly commanded as he covered his eyes.

Ariados moved through the smog covered area and attacked the Weezing from behind. "Weeez!" Weezing cried as it moved forward and inch, than turned to face Ariados.

"Ok Weezing now that the smog is clear use Sludge Bomb!" the grunt shouted out in his weird voice. "Ariados dodge and use shadow sneak!" Scythe commanded the bug pokemon.

The odd colored Weezing began to toss Sludge at Ariados who swiftly dodged the first one, and than turned into a shadow and dodged the others. "DOSSS!" Ariados than hissed as it appeared in front of Weezing and slammed into it.

"WEEZ WEEZ WEEZIINNG!" the pokemon exploded as it slammed into the wall.

"Grrr either way me and my Weezing are going home winners!" the man angrily yelled.

Scythe gave the man an awkward look before saying, "Ha and how's that? Me and Ariados here have ya on strings." The grunt stared back and laughed, "With two moves…your still a young trainer you need to learn to never underestimate anyone…not even a low life grunt like myself.

"Hmm I don't believe you. Ariados let's finish this!" Scythe got ready to attack as he rubbed his head. "Suit yourself…Weezing use Destiny Bond!" The grunt steadily ordered.

Scythe was shocked by what he just heard, because in an instant Ariados fate was intertwined with Weezings. "Ariados stay back now…you can't fight him anymore!" Scythe worriedly shouted to the pokemon.

The grunt grinned back before saying, "It doesn't matter it's over either way…Weezing use explosion!" "Ahh Ariados get out of there!" Scythe screamed as he sprinted toward Ariados.

"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNGG!" the Weezing puffed up and than exploded, sending off a huge wave of fire. "Gotcha!" Scythe yelled at the top of his lungs as he slid in and covered up Ariados with his body, just as the fire blew over top of them.

"PIKA!" Chukapis hollered as he began to run forward but could get no closer. "It's over! Your trainer just probably killed himself." the grunt laughed at the sad looking Chukapis.

"Pi? PIKACHUUUUUUU!" Chukapis roared as it exploded with electricity, frying the rocket grunt unconscious.

As the grunt fell over, the smoke cleared and Chukapis saw Scythe laying down over top of Ariados. "Pika?" Chukapis confronted as it pulled on Scythe's jacket once again.

"Chukapis?" Scythe softly speaks as he sits up. "PIKA!" Chukapis cries out as it lunges onto Scythe's chest. "Haha I'm ok buddy…but Ariados still fainted thanks to Destiny Bond…hey what happened to the grunt?" Scythe asks Chukapis as he looks over at the fainted Weezing and the electrocuted grunt.

Chukapis gives off a chuckle, as Scythe returns Ariados to it's ball. "You did great Ariados I'm proud of you." He says as he and Chukapis make they way to the next floor of the radio tower.

Scythe's head pounding with pain…

Part 1

When Kaitlyn answered her phone, she first thought someone had swiped Grecko gear and was playing a joke on her and she was about to curse the prankster out, when Grecko's familiar voice rasped from the other end, she quickly asked what was going on, but he quickly spoke "You need to meet up with the other Dex Holders outside of Bills house" he then hung up the phone, leaving her to blink at it dumbfounded before she snapped quickly into action and rushed out of the gym.

"Can't theses guys just give us a damn break!" Kaitlyn frowned in disdain as she ran down the street quickly to Bill's house, moving past people and making sure not to bum into anyone while she did so. It took her about 3 minutes tops to get to Bill's place and standing outside was 4 of the others, sadly she never chose to acknowledge them, she was too busy trying to beat Cairne's skull in to even notice anyone else "Am I a bad person?" she frowned sadly "My thought's were too clouded by nonsense and I didn't even try to get to know my fellow teammates" she clenched her fist "Well, not anymore! I'll try and get to know all these guys. . . whenever I can, if we ever get another break or something" Kaitlyn noticed Bill was standing in his pajama's "Jeeze. . . did this guy wash at all today? Doesn't he have anything to wear besides his night clothes?"

"Everyone Grecko wanted me to let you know what has caused the Tauros to go crazy yesterday" Bill began once everyone was there and Kaitlyn wondered what did wild Tauros going on rampage have to do with what's happening now and where are Shaun and all the other old member's of the clan.

"Apparently there is some kind of strange signal being broad casted over the Radio tower from right here in Golden Rod, Grecko, Gage and the rest of them went to check it out this morning….." Bill explained before pausing and Kaitlyn dryly thought "Well, that answered one of my questions. . . but what was the matter with Grecko"

Kaitlyn itched her head and began to wonder if Grecko's call had some type of hidden meaning to it "Maybe whatever he was saying had to deal with whatever is going on in the Radio Tower" she glanced briefly at the black tower, assuming that whatever was going on, that tower was the source and without even thinking, Kaitlyn began walking towards the tower, leaving Bill by his lonesome.

It didn't take long to get to the tower and as she approached the building, Kaitlyn recognized a few familiar faces, it was the men from the well! The weird guys decked out in black with big red R's on their shirts, then like a punch to the gut, it hit her "resurrected team rocket leader" and "when you reach Golden Rod, you need to be careful, something big is going to go down there. . . "this was exactly what that guy warned her about, she let out a short gasp and the members began to laugh, before pointing towards the sky, where a flock of Fearow's and Honchkrow's had flown in, circling the city before one of the members shot them a signal and they began swooping down, attacking random civilians, she watched in mute horror as people began to get dragged into the sky, or claws at fiercely by the sharp talons and beaks from the birds.

Narrowing her eyes in anger, Kaitlyn pulled out two ball's, attacking two of the nearby birds "Sho! Snoopy! Thunderbolt and Ice Fang!" she threw both balls into the air and twin fangs of Ice and a bolt of lightning appeared before either Pokémon materialized, one Fearow cried out as one of its wings got frozen and it began to plummet to the ground, due to the uneven shift in its weight, while the Honchkrow gave a shrill shriek as its entire body lit up from the shock, smoke lifted from its entire being with the Thunderbolt wore off and Fearow's encased wing quickly broke upon smashing against the ground.

Both birds glared at Snoopy and Sho before they charged at the dog and the mouse, Fearow using Aerial Ace and Honchkrow using Wing Attack "Dodge it both of you!" Sho and Snoopy quickly flattened themselves on the ground, while both birds zoomed past them from above, crying out when they missed, before U-ing back around and trying again. "Snoopy grab Honchkrow and Sho, on Fearow's back, use Slam!" Snoopy and Sho stood, watching as the birds began getting closer, they shared a look with each other, before Snoopy extended his arm and Sho jumped on it "Pika!"

Then with a powerful jerk, Snoopy sent Sho flying towards Fearow, a few inches over the birds head, where he grabbed the crest on top of Fearow's head and yanked hard, causing the bird to squawk in pain as its neck got jerked back far more than it should be able to go and its body soon followed with it, the two were spinning in the air until they neared the ground, where Sho harshly flung the bird onto its back, then he slammed his tail down on its upturned stomach "Kachu!" Fearow gasped at the loss of air and the pain that shot through its unprotected torso, it began to dry heave for several moments, flailing as though it were having a seizure, before it passed out.

Snoopy on the other hand was having a tougher time with Honchkrow, the bird had freed itself from his grip and used a Nasty Plot powered Wing Attack, smacking Snoopy repeatedly in the face "Ice Fang Snoopy! Sho Thunderbolt!" Snoopy shook his head and tossed the flailing bird in the air, then struck its wings with Ice Fang and Sho followed up with Thunderbolt, this sent the bird falling to the ground near Fearow and it too passed out as well.

"Good job you two, now lets get going" she told them and all three of them headed towards the Radio Tower.

Part 2

After entering the Radio tower, Kaitlyn noticed a few grunts standing before her and the others, waiting to fight, a familiar grunt released an all to familiar Crobat and Sho glared at it "Don't worry Sho, Hunter's got this one" Kaitlyn pulled out a ball and released her Croconaw "Feraligatr." the croc growled and Kaitlyn's eyes widened "Hunter! You evolved!" a large smile erupted on her face and the gator gave a sharp grin before he glared at the Crobat, getting down on all fours "Gatr."

"Crobat use-- Gah!"

That Gah was the grunt, who watched as his Crobat was suddenly tackled to the ground by Kaitlyn's vicious looking Feraligatr with a burst of speed from Agility, said girl was looking just as shocked as the grunt and so was her Pokémon "Hey Hunter what are you doing!? I didn't say attack yet!" Hunter just ignored her, his eyes narrowed into dangerous slits and he held down the flailing bat, giving a crazed fanged grin before sinking his fangs deeply into Crobat's side "Feraa!"

Kaitlyn gasped, suddenly feeling the need to throw up as she watched Hunter shake his head violently and to rip off chunks of flesh from Crobat's side and then began to chew, the Crobat gave a loud pain filled shriek that made everyone stiffen, while Kaitlyn and the Crobat's trainer watched as the bat got brutally mauled and torn apart by her crazed gator, by the time Hunter was finished, there was nothing left of Crobat except its wings and Hunter licked his blood smeared chops, his slitted gaze moving to the Crobat's owner "Feraaa" he growled pressing low to the ground, his back lifting hight into the air and his tail erect looking ready to pounce.

And boy did he pounce, the Grunt suddenly found himself on his back, with a feral looking Feraligatr pinning him down by the shoulder's, then in one quick motion, Hunter bent down and bit into the man's shoulder, ripping the whole arm and bone off, it must've been from shock because it was surprisingly painless and he watched in grotesque awe as Hunter began to chew and swallow his arm, bone and all, the sounds of bone's crunching like he was eating chips snapped Kaitlyn out of her initial shock and ran up to Hunter "Hunter!" She gently placed a hand on his back and the Feraligatr let go of the frightened man, who quickly scrambled away, happy to lose an arm rather than his life as Hunter stood to his full fearsome height of 7 foot 7, glaring down at Kaitlyn, looking absolutely insane.

"Granbull/Pikachu!" Snoopy and Sho were staying far away from Hunter at the moment, he could probably rip them to shreds at the moment, but if he touched Kaitlyn, they'd die trying to protect her. "W-What's gotten into you" she asked softly, slightly taken back that her Pokémon would turn on her, let alone harm any person, regardless if they were good or bad. Hunter's eyes were clouded over by blood lust however, not recognizing her at all, the only thing on his mind was to kill, he wanted. . . no he needed blood.

"Feraaa" his face contorted into something sinister, mouth pulling back to reveal a set of gruesome blood stained and saliva dripping fangs, he flexed his claws, itching to sink them into something "You. . . You want blood?" at the word, he nodded a low growl bubbled in his throat "And you'd hurt me to get it?" she asked the gator, who nodded, bits of blood and spit flying about "Don't you recognize me Hunter?" he shook his head no and she grew silent.

"I see. . ." wordlessly, Kaitlyn grabbed the collar of her shirt and yanked it hard enough to produce a rip, she then pulled her left arm free, bearing her shoulder to the crazed Pokémon, who blinked slightly in confusion "Its what you want right?" she tilted her head to the side, exposing her neck and then pointed to her bared shoulder "Right here" she tapped at it and Hunter's mouth began to salivate "You can sink your teeth right there Hunter, I won't mind" she took a deep shuddering breath "If. . . If you happen to remember me while your ripping me to shreds or whatever, just know. . ." she paused and looked up at him, smiling "I don't hate you"

Hunter paused for a moment and a look of remembrance flashed thought his eyes, though it was quickly gone and with a vicious snarl, he lashed out at Kaitlyn, claws gripping tightly on her arms while he sank his teeth into her bared shoulder Kaitlyn cried out in pain as she felt Hunter's sharp teeth sink into her shoulder and latch onto the plate and bones beneath her skin, she humorlessly wondered how the hell Shaun could take a bite like this and not even flinch, it felt like her shoulder was being ripped off and then put through a paper shredder, not to mention, she was losing blood fast, but she was not going to be a sissy and faint, she was gonna take the pain, for the both of them.

"Are you satisfied Hunter?" she winced slightly as she felt his jaws tighten their grip "This is what you wanted right!?" the pain in her voice seemed to snap the gator out of whatever trance he was in and his eyes widened, glancing around, he saw the bloodied battlefield, a shocked looking Sho and Snoopy and then he looked down, recognizing who's arms he was griping painfully, he could almost hear the bones cracking.

It was Kaitlyn. Hunter stifled a gasp and quickly pulled away, ripping out small bits of the flesh on her shoulder as he did so "So. . . I see you remembered. . . h-huh?" she was panting and clutching her bleeding shoulder with a weak arm Hunter's eyes softened and he growled low in apology, lowering himself into the form of a squat and he bowed his head, he felt so ashamed of himself "Gatrrr" Kaitlyn just smiled weakly and leaned against his arm "Don't worry about it. . ." she paused to breath "I've had worse, so. . . it's n-no problem"

Seeing it was safe, Sho and Snoopy quickly ran over towards Kaitlyn, glancing warily at Hunter from time to time, in case he should flip out and start biting people or something "Pikachu!" Sho was on Snoopy's head fussing over Kaitlyn and Snoopy was lapping up her wound, they say a dogs spit had healing properties. . . but then again, was Snoopy really a dog? Either way, the blood was gone and her shoulder was becoming numb, she would have to get this thing treated soon, otherwise her arm would fall off.

As Kaitlyn was putting her arm back in her shirt, the wide rip in it exposed the nasty bite she had to endure, coagulating blood could be seen and bits of skin were missing and the jagged teeth marks from Hunter would definitely appear after it finishes healing "Well. . . at least it'll come out looking like a cool battle scar" she couldn't help but think with a slight smile before a voice rang out as the remaining rockets moved to the side to allow who she guessed was their leader through "Oh how touching. It almost brought a tear to my eye dear" the mysterious red haired man clapped mockingly "Bravo I say" Kaitlyn just frowned in response, her cheeks turning a bright red as she soon realized she just put a show on for every occupant in the room.

"Its not like there was much to see anyway"

"I don't think believe we've had the pleasure of meeting before" he said with a small smirk "My name is Silver and I am the son of the great Giovanni" Kaitlyn felt her eyes widen "Giovanni has a kid!" she tried to wonder how the hell that was even possible, but then again. . . moving on, she watched as he pulled a strange looking device from his pocket. "Oh god, now what. . . don't tell me he's gonna try and blow us all to bits" she wondered before glancing at the others.

"You see lately we have been adapting Rage technology to the human body and it has had quite remarkable results, it would be a shame for you to interfere in our work and end up like those older fools who entered a short while ago" he said seriously and Kaitlyn suddenly realized that the older members had been through here "What the hell did you do to them you bastard!"

"Oh there on the top floor, having a bit of a discussion with our leader and future ruler of the world" he then pressed the button on the device, which caused a loud blearing siren like noise to erupt from the radio tower. Slowly, the ground begins to shake, much like an earthquake and Silver smirked before heading to an elevator with the rest of the grunts, the one who's arm had been ripping off by Hunter glared at the gator, obviously promising revenge.

"Have fun with this one" he said laughing and everyone turned, glancing at the entrance, where the most weirdest of evolutions she had ever seen stood "If I even get a Rhydon. . . I'll never let it evolve into that fugly SOB" her Pokédex quickly scanned it.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Johto Leagues Fate

Rhyperior
The Drill Pokémon

It can launch a rock held in its hand like a missile by tightening then expanding its muscles instantly

The giant walking rock glared at them and Kaitlyn glared back, she'd use Hunter, he'd do the most damage "Alright Hunter, your up, now use Water Gun!" the Gator nodded and shot a powerful stream of water at Rhyperior, pushing the big Pokémon back, it then roared out in pain and began to charge and Hunter shot another blast of water at it, but it just plowed through the stream like it was nothing "Crap! We have to run" Kaitlyn shouted, turning on her feet with her Pokémon and running away, the pain in her arms increasing due to the slight strain, with ever movement of her shoulder's.

"Gatrrrr" Hunter spun around and fired another blast of water, hoping to slow it down, before he whirled back around and continued to run, this thing would not be going down anytime soon and eventually they made it to the stairs and lo and freaking behold the damn thing could climb, about four more water gun's later, Hunter was beginning to run low on water, due to using the same attack repeatedly and the Rhyperior had cornered them, there were so many steps Kaitlyn noted as it began tilting its head down ready to deliver the final strike a voice sounded out.
"Glaceon blizzard!"

It was Bill.

Part 3

Down below the Rhyperior was Bill, who had frozen the rock in its steps, he was still wearing his Pajama's and turned to them shouting "I'll take care of the rampaging Pokémon I have the help of some Pokémon rangers! You guys get to the top floor and save Grecko and the rest!"all of them nodded and they raced up the steps, Kaitlyn hoped bill would be okay when this was all over.
"I hate officially steps" Kaitlyn grumbled as she felt her shoulder, which was bleeding again, her shirt was soaked and her arms were dripping with blood, but she didn't care at the moment, she had other things to worry about, they had finally made it up all the steps and if that wasn't bad enough, they now had to fight through a group of electric Pokémon, everyone got into action.

Since there were six different Pokémon in total, Kaitlyn decided to give each of them two to fight, Hunter had Magnemite's and Luxio's. While Sho had Pichu's and Eletrike's and Snoopy had Voltorb's and Elekid's. Even though Hunter had the most disadvantage against them, the two he was fighting took one look at his fearsome appearance and instantly backed off and Kaitlyn wouldn't blame them, she'd sooner run than fight against someone looking like that.

Sho was in the middle of a heated battle with Eletrike, because he had somehow manage to convince Pichu not to fight and now he and the Eletrike were going at it, meeting spark for spark, Slam against Quick Attack Kaitlyn's gaze slid over to Snoopy, was facing off against Voltorb, the Elekid was already down for the count and Voltorb was next and with a rough Headbutt from Snoopy, the ball was out, while Sho had just finished up his attack as well, using Slam to knock Eletrike aside.

"Finally that's over" Kaitlyn sighed, feeling herself sag slightly, she wanted to go rest "and get bandaged up too" she noted dully upon feeling blood drip down her fingers, she held a grimace and walked forward with her Pokémon, towards the door that would hopefully lead towards the big bad boss himself.

Part 4

Her shoulder was burning and it hurt to lift her left arm, thank god she was a righty. Kaitlyn opened the door that led to the final floor and stiffened at the sight, Grecko, Gage, Angela, Lance and Professor Elm were unconscious on the floor, with their Pokéballs lying all over the place and up ahead was a defeated looking Sly, who was down on a knee standing before a shadowy figure, Kaitlyn also noticed that everyone was in there, though she could've sworn before they weren't, ignoring it, Kaitlyn turned her attention towards Sly.

"Oh Sly, it's been awhile since I helped you during Kanto's dark days, but things are different now, and I have new goals in mind" the voice was obviously was male, but she still couldn't see his silhouette Sly lifted her head up to the man. "This isn't even right; you're supposed to be dead Giovanni!" She shouts back. Then just like that time seemed to stop "D-Did she just say Giovanni!?" The man slowly walks out from behind the shadows.

"Oh I was, it's amazing what science can do! It can bring the dead back to life and now I can finish what I started" he begins, while emerging from the shadows he looked to be hovering it was then Kaitlyn noticed he was in some kind of wheel chair. The wheel was partly plugged into Giovanni and on the back of it was a few oxygen tanks that were connected to a tube that ran into his mouth. "Is this how he's able to live again. . . seems like a bit much if you ask me, I think I'd rather stay dead" They both seemed to notice everyone was here and Sly gave a vicious bark of laughter.

"Well Giovanni looks like we have some unexpected company; I guess you'll have to take them out as well?" Giovanni just laughed. "Well unfortunately for them I have gathered all the test results and data I need from this and it is time for my departure but be aware that Team Rocket is alive, and our new plan will not fail!" He shouted before jumping out the window "Crazy old man!" Kaitlyn thought as she ran over towards the window with everyone else to see if he fell to his doom but instead he was hovering via wheel chair onto a helicopter and he starts laughing like a maniac while it took off into the horizon.

"Thank you for coming, I was unsure weather Grecko's call would be enough to spark your attention. They were knocked unconscious with sleeping gas, but they'll awaken soon." She paused while she slowly stood, a look of horror flashed in her eyes briefly "If science was able to bring Giovanni back to life then…. No never mind that isn't possible" she mumbled and Kaitlyn could only wonder "What the hell is she talking about?"

Radio Tower Power Hour - Pts 3-5

"I guess were not going anywhere…" Scythe starts out as he sees the grunts open a path for a higher ranked member.

"Who is this guy?" Scythe questions as he sees a man with red hair, wearing a blue suit walk through.

"Hello there I don't think we have met before. My name is Silver and I am the son of the great Giovanni" he says before pausing. he pulls a strange looking device from his pocket. "What the hell is that?" Scythe wonders as he looks over at the other clueless dex holders.

"You see lately we have been adapting Rage technology to the human body and it has had quite remarkable results, it would be a shame for you to interfere in our work and end up like those older fools who entered a short while ago" he says in a serious way.

This comment strikes Scythe as he shouts out in distraught, "Where are they!!!" "PIKACHU!" Chukapis also yells out.

"Oh there on the top floor, having a bit of a discussion with our leader and future ruler of the world" he then presses the button on the device causing a loud siren noise to start erupting from the radio tower.

"AHHH my head…that ringing!" Scythe cries out as he covers his ears, knocking Chukapis off his shoulder.

"Have fun with this one" he says laughing, as he walks away…the noise still going.

Within an instant a huge Grey and yellow pokemon comes crashing through the entrance and stares at the trainers. "Oh shit…" Scythe says under his breath as he stands up. "PIKA!" Chukapis screams as it prepares for battle.

"Not now Chukapis we gotta go!" Scythe roars as he grabs Chukapis's arm and dashes for the stairwell.

"RYYYYPPP!" The massive pokemon chants as it begins to dash for them. "Pi Pi Pika!" Chukapis yells as it sends thunderbolts at the pokemon, but with no affect.

"I told you Chukapis it's to strong!" Scythe states as he slams his shoulder off the wall, and than passes a girl dex holder up the stairs.

Scythe stops to catch his breath, thinking that everything is ok…"We should be fine here Chukapis but we gotta keep going for the top to find that machine…How many floors is this place?" He ponders as he stares up the staircase.

"LOOK OUT!" one of the other dex holders shouts as the Rhyperior comes crashing through the staircase and begins to ascend the stairs.

"How in the hell!?!" Scythe worriedly says as he starts climbing at a faster pace.

After making it up another 3 floors Scythe makes a realization, "This place is 20 floors!!!! Damnit we gotta battle!"

The young trainer than turns around and unclips a pokeball from his belt…"Your probably the toughest pokemon I've got." He says as he realizes the others are doing the same.

"TEDI!" Face happily chants as it lunges onto Scythe's face once again. "Face look nows not the time!" He yells as he points at the charging Rhyperior.

"TEDI?" Face confusingly says as it jumps off Scythe's face and begins to glow. "Uh it's evolving!!!" Scythe joyfully praises. "Pikachu!" Chukapis also joins in on the praise.

"URRSSS!" The now evolved Face chants as it flexes it's huge arms. "Ok Face now you've definitely got the power to stop this guy! Use…Face?" Scythe questions the massive grizzly as he notices it going out of control.

"Face??? What are you doing?" Scythe continues to shout at the pokemon as the Rhyperior draws ever closer.

Face finaly hears Scythe and turns to him, but with a mad look in his eyes. "Face….?" Scythe begins to get scared as the pokemon starts to come at him.

"URRRRRSAAA!" It screams out as it slams it's fist down at Scythe. "AHHHH!" "PIKA!" Scythe and Chukapis holler as they just dodge the fist.

"URSA URSA!" the out of control Ursaring booms as it slams it's fist off of it's chest. "What's going on…Face never acted like this before…" Scythe whimpers as he sees what his once loveable pokemon has become.

As Ursaring gets closer to Scythe for another attack, a boulder crashes into it's shoulder. "Ur?" it angrily questions as it turns around and sees the Rhyperior.

"RYYY!" It chants as it stares down Face. "PIKA!" Chukapis yells out to Face but with no reaction.

Scythe watches as Face and the Rhyperior begin to battle. The two begin slamming one another off walls, and punching each other in the head.

"He's so aggressive…evolution can really change a pokemon…" Scythe thinks to himself as he looks at Chukapis…the pokemon he almost made evolve the other day.

"URSA!" Face roars as it is sent flying over top of Scythe, into the upper level staircase.

"Face are you ok?" Scythe questions as he runs over to it. "URSA!!!" the pokemon once again roars as it stands up, throwing Scythe off to the side.

"PI?" Chukapis runs over to it's trainer. "I'm fine buddy, but I gotta return Face, before it causes more damage than necessary." He speaks as he stands up and returns the pokemon to it's pokeball.

"Woah…I liked it better when he jumped on my face…" Scythe laughs until he notices that the Rhyperior is now standin right in front of them.

"Oh **** run!" he screams in panic until he notices the pokemon has been frozen.

"Huh?" he wonders as he looks down and sees Bill with his Glaceon. "Just in the knick of time" Scythe collapses to the side as he softly rubs his aching head.

"I'll take care of the rampaging pokemon I have the help of some pokemon rangers! You guys get to the top floor and save Grecko and the rest!" He shouts as he leaves the stair case.

Feeling a sense of urgency, and a sudden emotion of energy, Scythe and Chukapis begin to make their way up the stairs.

"Chukapis buddy, we have to stop what there doing up here! It's up to us and the others!" he says as he sees them ahead of him. "PIKA!" Chukapis reassures as they emerge to the next floor.

"Be careful" one of the dex holders up ahead warns as Scythe enters the room. "O well talk about your weak picking of electric pokemon!" he laughs as Chukapis jumps off his shoulder and prepares for battle.

"There's so many of them, so I'm gonna get ya some help buddy! Let's go Pidgeotto, Easter, and Ariados!" he says as he tosses out three more pokemon.

"Ok Chukapis go use Slam on that Pichu, and Magnemite! Pidgeotto use gust on the Voltorb and Elekid! Easter use pound on the electirke! And Ariados use night shade on the Luxio!" Scythe commands all of his pokemon at once.

"Pika!" Chukpais cries out as it charges at the Pichu and Magnemite. "PICHAA!" the Pichu unhappily roars as it sends a small shock at Chukapis. Chukapis just brushes through it and slams into the small mouse knocking it unconscious.

"MAGNEMITTTE!" the steel/electric pokemon chants as it sends a metal sound attack at Chukapis. "Pi!" Chukapis says as it is hit by the attack and slides to the right. "PIKA!" Chukapis than roars as it gets back up and slams into the Magenmite, easily defeating it.

"Good job Chukapis!" Scythe congratulates, as he turns to watch the others.

"PIGOTO!" the Bird pokemon chirps as it sends a gust attack soaring for the voltorb and Elekid. The two electric pokemon turn around and begin to send their own attacks at Pidgeotto, but Chukapis use thunderbolt to cancel them.

Elekid and Voltorb are then picked up and tossed to the side like rag dolls. "That's my boy Pidgeotto!" Scythe cheers on the bird pokemon.

"FLU!" Easter the Flopunny says as it begins to bounce toward the electrike. "ELEC!" the Electrike mutters as it sends shocks flying at Easter.

Easter quickly dodges them and than slams its legs into the Electrikes face. "ELEC!" It gets back up, not wanting to go down. "FLUUUU POOO!" Easter than shouts as it once again slams into the electric pokemon, but with more force.

"Elec…tri.." the opponent says as it collapses to the ground. "Way to be Easter!" Scythe than states as he turns to watch Gregory's Ariados.

"DOSS!" the bug pokemon hisses as it sends a night shade at the Luxio, which sends a spark attack at Ariados.

The spark attack is easily countered by Chukapis, and Ariados's Night shade thrusts the weak Luxio into a nearby chair.

"Hahah good job everyone!!!" Scythe happily says to each and everyone of them as they all run over to him.

He than looks over and sees the other Dex holders have helped out as well. "Ok everyone return except for Chukapis." He than quietly speaks as he returns them all.

"Pika!" Chukapis than jumps onto Scythe's shoulder again. "Ok little buddy let's keep going!" he says as they dart off to the next floor.

As Scythe and the others burst through the door he sees Grecko and the others all on one knee, hurt badly. Except for Sly who is still standing beside a shadowed figure.

"Who is that? Is it the cloaked man?" Scythe questions as all the dex holders line up. "Hey and where did everyone else come from.." he wonders as he sees the missing dex holders there with them.

"Oh Sly, it's been awhile since I helped you during Kanto's dark days, but things are different now, and I have new goals in mind" the man says, as Scythe still can't make out who it is. Sly lifts her head up to the man.

"This guy helped Grecko and them back than…but from what I can see he looks so young…who is he…" Scythe ponders as he listens up.

"This isn't even right; you're supposed to be dead Giovanni!" She shouts back.

"GIOVANNI!!!?!?!!?" Scythe and the other dex holders shout out in anguish…"So that man in the power plant wasn't lying…" he than drops his head.

"Oh I was, it's amazing what science can do! It can bring the dead back to life and now I can finish what I started" he says. As Giovanni emerges from the Shadows he seems to be hovering in the air, you then notice that he is in some kind of wheel chair. The wheel seems to be partly plugged into Giovanni and on the back of it is a few oxygen tanks that are connected to a tube that runs to his mouth. This current sight amazes you, how can he be alive… He then notices you, and Sly turns around and laughs.

"Why is she laughing…is this funny to her?" Scythe begins to feel a huge pounding in his head…

"Well Giovanni looks like we have some unexpected company; I guess you'll have to take them out as well?" She says as the man just laughs.

"WHAT!!" Scythe yells as he hears what she says.

"Well unfortunately for them I have gathered all the test results and data I need from this and it is time for my departure but be aware that Team Rocket is alive, and our new plan will not fail!" He shouts as he jumps out of the window. You all quickly run over to see if he plummeted to his death but instead he hovers onto a helicopter with his wheel chair and he just starts laughing as it takes off into the sky and off into the horizon. All of you then walk over and help Sly up.

"Thank you for coming, I was unsure weather Grecko's call would be enough to spark your attention. They were knocked unconscious with sleeping gas, but they'll awaken soon." She pauses for a second, "If science was able to bring Giovanni back to life then…. No never mind that isn't possible" She says as you wonder what in the world she is talking about.

A horrified look falls on Scythe's face, as he realizes things have just begun to get real…

Clan of Hope
Chapter 4
Ashes to ashes... Dust to dust.....
Part 1

It has been two days since the day at the Radio Tower and all seems to be calm. You wake up sore and heavy of heart (Some of you much more than others.) Your character dresses itself in their best clothing and along with the Dex Holders and the leaders of the Clan of Hope make your way to the white gym. Today is the day of Bills funeral.

You walk into the gym in a large group and are astounded by the amount of people attenting. There in the center of the gym surrounded by white flowers is an open casket containing the Bill, still peaceful in his demise. You take a seat next to your friends and are silenced by Whitney standing at the podium.

"Bill lived his life for others, in fact he spent his entire life making the world more conveniant for people and their Pokemon partners. I'm sure he was both happy and proud to die protecting what he believes in. It's a shame that only a handfull of people will cry at this mans death, because when he died the entire world lost something important." She pulled out a handkercheif and dabbed her eyes and in the backround you can hear someone bawling. Profesor Elm walked up to the podium next stumbling still in his nervous fashion.

He wiped his forhead with a cloth and then placed it back into his front pocket. "Bill was one in a million, I can only pray that I might live my life half as bravely as he lived his." He seemed to want to say something else but he backed off the podium and sat back in a chair in front of the casket. One last person walked up the the podium with Bills Glaceon at his side. He had very short hair and a pair of glasses resting on his nose ridge. He was tall and thin and approached the podium.

"My uncle was a great man..." The boy looked down and then backed at all the people in the gym. "He pushed himself everyday and I'm sure the only regret he had in death was that he never saw the end of his soaps." Several people in the gym let out mixed laughs. "I know he would want somebody to take his place helping the Clan of Hope and developing the technology that makes our lives easier and I assure you I will take his place. I also know that at his funeral he wouldnt want anyone to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life. He died for a better tommorow.... But he lived for a better today....." The man wiped his eyes and then looked at the people again. "Please spend as much time a you feel necesary to say good bye... Thank you." HE stepped off the stage and sat down next to Sly.

You approach Bill casket and say good bye to the man who extended his hospitality to you. You can swear your vengence or appologize for your past deeds...

After the funeral Grecko gathers all of you up along with Gage. "This is truly a sad day, but we also feel that we are holding your journeys up you have been in golden rod for to long." Grecko says Gage steps in.

"We can understand that your tired of being in danger and harm all the time, we went through it to… but you can't give up, you trainers are what is holding the balance of the light and dark in place." Gage says as he stars you down knowing how each of you feel.

"So this will be your last day in Golden Rod, we shall protect Whitney and if there is no threat on her life you will be free to move on to Eructek city." Grecko says as they dismiss you.

You can interact with each other in this posts, and describe your feelings towards everything.. Basically this is a rest post to give your characters some down time to heal and reflect.

The funeral got out around one O'clock in the afternoon and the rest of the day is yours. (Meaning you may or may not still be in your good clothes) Spend it as you will.

Post 3
Apocalypse on Horizon?

As post two ends you it should be dusk and the sun should be going down. By now you should be returning to Bills old house that now serves as the primary Clan of Hope base. Outside of the house you see Gage sitting there along with his Alakhazam silently watching the sun set. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He says to you smiling in his suit.

"The sunset I mean... It's beautiful... You live as long as I do and you stat to appreciate the smallest of things..." He removes his black glasses and tucks them into his shirt. His eyes are weighed down with bags and he looks much wearier than he holds himself. "Take a seat... Sit right on down." He says.

"Death can be a scary thing." He says still not making eye contact. "I was dead for a little bit... Least everyone thought I was..." He laughs. "That was back in the old days... Back when Angela and I were the only Clan of Hope members with pokedex's....." He looks at you as the sky turned purple.

"It was quite frightening, don't you agree Spoons?" He says to the Pokemon at his right.

"Quite...." Comes a deep echoing voice into your mind. To some this may be familiar and to others it could be frightening.

"Darkness is returning... And death along with it... Trust me when I say darkness is quite alluring... But dont let it engulf you, dont succumb to your anger... You play with fire and you get burned." He says pulling up one of his sleeves and revealing a horrid burn going all the way down his arm.

"You along with the other dex holders are the only ones who are keeping the balance between us and them... There is a fine line you see... And you are the one who defines it." The Alakhazams voice echoes into your mind once more.

"Well put Spoons... Keep safe please...." You see a tear come down his cheek and you begin to wonder why. He puts his black glasses back on and clears his throat. "Please... Excuse me...." He stands up and walks away. He strides off down the street with his Pokemon at his side towards the gym.

You decide to head back to Bills house and check up on the others, but as you enter the room Grecko and Shaun seem to be having a discussion and you seemingly pass them unnoticed… This disturbs you and you try to get Greckos attention but to your surprise nothing not even a simple turn of the head, but for a moment you think you see Shaun smile as if he can see you. You then let out one of your pokemon and Grecko jumps back in shock as the pokemon appears right in front of him. You then return it and realize something is going on, but maybe it was just Gage trying to prove a point, you leave Bills house and walk around Golden Rod as no one even notices you.

"Excuse me can I have a second?" a creepy voice says from behind as you turn to see a man in a black cloak. This man gives off a different allure then the other cloaked man does… this man has darkness emitting from all around him.

"You seem to be lost?" he says as he reaches down into his boot and pulls out a dagger. You start to question him but he just laughs, and then two shadows grab a hold of your ankles and wrists and pulls you flat to your back. He then steps beside you and kneels down and pulls your shirt above your stomach.

"I've been trapped here for so long.... I have forgotten the feeling I get when I kill another person, but when I over heard your conversation with Gage I just couldn't resist you see I have been following all these damn Clan of Hope members around for a very long time, and soon I shall have my revenge" he says as you start to wonder who this man is, but you have an idea of. He then slowly starts to slice a long gash across your stomach and then stands up pulling the dagger back to his mouth and licking the blood of it.

"Oh that tasted just as delicious as my last kill, although my last kill was more of a reward, finally riding myself of that meddlesome Zypher I thought I would finally rule the world with him out of the way… but boy did I get careless" he says as he finally removes his hood. The man has long messy black hair, and pure white eyes of evil. His grin gives you the shivers. Somehow one of your pokemon breaks free and you have it attack the man.

During the fight your pokemons attacks keep getting blocked by shadows and then they keep getting hit by them… The man still has yet to turn around… Finally your pokemon is defeated and falls next to you on the ground.

"It is amazing what darkness can do you for you if you embrace it, much like those three of your comrades to bad I can't give it away, I do say I enjoy being able to watch everything unfold without being noticed" the man says as you realize some of your friends have taken the wrong path and you start to wonder who… The man kneels down next to your head and quickly takes the dagger to your neck slowly pushing the point in… "The crazy thing about this realm is you can't die, but that's the fun" he says as the grin gets bigger before he finally takes the dagger away and stands up…

"As much fun as this has been I have to go do this to the others, you know put a little scare in them… after all you can't start to get to relaxed with the end of the world coming soon can you?" he says laughing hysterically as he snaps his fingers and there you are lying in the middle of golden rod with your stomach still sliced open. You make your way back to bills your shirt covered in blood, and there you find two other dex holders (Clan of Hope members) covered in blood as well. You stare at each other and mutter one word…

"Beo…"

Post 4
Anger Points
As the three of you stand there still stunned by the previous events you receive a phone call one by one from Sly telling you to get to the gym now! This can only mean one thing… WHITNEY IS INDANGER!

As you approach the gym you realize the fears of what the man you assume to be Beo says to be true... As standing in front of the gym guarding the doors are Cairne, Liliana, and Daimon. You clench your fist in anger as Sly and the rest of the older Clan of Hope members fly into the gym. They give you the signal… they may have been allies before, but now they are foes… You approach the one in front of you and decided you have to battle them, even if you were friends before, they are now consumed by darkness…. Evil….

Matchups for this epic battle:

Tim0789-Charizard_Man
Fenris-Dutchesse
Yashi-Carine

Talk it over with the person you are matched up with and decide on how the battle is going to go… Before the battle could come to a conclusion though the Dark Brotherhood members vanish in front of your eyes into the shadows…

--------SIDESTORY------

Shaun pondered his next move as he dispersed the young children outward. He should have known they wouldn't be able to handle Darkness. He snapped his fingers and felt his weight hit the floor.

"What are you doing here!?" Whiteys voice echoed towards him.

"I'm here... For you my dear!" He pulled on his white hood and released tossed out the ball containing his Garchomp. She released her Pokemon but one by one they sucumed to the wounds they had ecieved days before.

"Why... Why would you do this?!" He heard her weak voice cry out as he crushed her Clefable.

"Why do we do anything? Because in a way we want to... Garchomp, Hyper Beam!" He pointed at the woman and she was wngulfed by a blast of light, nothing remained of her body and Shaun grinned at his victory. He quickly realised a way he could keep the children under his employ for as long as he wished. He pulled out his phone and quicly dialed a number.

"Grecko? We have an emergency, the Dark Brotherhood are stationed outside Whitneys Gym and you will never guess who is with them." Check... And... Mate... Shaun couldn't contain his laughter...

---FROM HERE DOWN IS FOR DARK BROTHERHOOD PEOPLE---

As you step into the house you notice Grecko and Shaun in mid conversation. In your mind the Alakhazams words echo once more. "There is a fine line between us and them....." Shaun stands and waves goodbye to Grecko... He smiles at you as he walks out the front door. Grecko smiles and nods as he too stands up and walks out of the house. You make your way back to your room and after taking care of whatever buisness you feel necesary you drift off to sleep.

"Psst!" You hear and your eyes open to see a different room than one you feel asleep in. There standing up in front of you is Shaun with two men behind him. "Good morning sleepy heads!" He says with a twisted grin. You look around to see that the two other trecherous Dex Holders are by your side. "Well come on kids..." He extends his hand to you and the other two Dex Holders but each of you reject it and stand up on your own.

"What do you want?" You hear Cairne say quite rudely.

"Remember that scientist that we happened to procure on the last invasion? It seems he has finally come to consciousness and we need a little help in out interrogation?" He says.

"Why can't you do it yourself?" Damion asks frowning.

"Well... You see... Three reasons... One, I feel like you kids need to bond some more... Two, he will probably be more shaken if he sees the people who defeated him so easily.. And three... I feel like you kids need a better taste of what we do.." He explains.

"How exactly are we supposed to interrogate him?" Liliana asks.

"Well, you have monsters with magical powers, use your imagination." You can feel your heart get pulled up into your throat. "I want to know several things in particular. I want to know how they managed to bring Geovanni back, how they got in here, and how exactly they developed the rage technology...."

He leads you to the interrogation room and lets you do as you will, it is a dark concrete room with a small lamp hanging from the ceiling dangling over a man in a white labcoat.

(I WANT THE THREE TRECHOROUS DEX HOLDERS TO WRITE THIS PART OF THE POST TOGETHER AND FURMULATE IDEAS TOGETHER.... IN THE END THE GUY REFUSES TO SAY A SINGLE THING AND AFTER 20 MINUTES OF TORTURE HE PASSES OUT.)

Afterwards you leave the room and the three of you procede to begin a conversation while making your way to Shaun, it becomes painfully obvious that none of you want to remain in the Dark Brotherhood and you decide that you need to confront Shaun.

PART 4

After telling Shaun the infromation you received from the scientist Cairne stands forward and speaks for the group when he says that you all want out.

Shaun frowns and turns away from you. "Isn't that a shame?" All of a sudden you feel strong arms clutch you and a sharp object being pushed at your neck.

"No, no... Let go..." Shaun says to his men who release you. "If you do one more job for me, I will be sure to release you from the Dark Brotherhood and I swear that it wont come back to bite you on the ass."

The job you are given is to stand guard outside Whitneys gym and although at first you hesitate you have no choice but to accept. You wait outside the gym in a black cloak waiting for Shaun to finish whatever task he had inside.

All of a sudden in front of you, a group of people seem to assemble and approach the gym. As they come closer you can make out the people, they are the Clan of Hope. The champions are stopped by a giant mob of Dark Brotherhood members and an epic battle ensues. Meanwhile the Dex Holders remain unstopped and make a mad dash towards you.

(INSERT WHATEVER YOU WANT HERE THIS POST IS WHATEVER YOU WANT TO MAKE IT)

After the battle and whatever text you wish to insert you can see the Champions finishing off their opponants and approaching you. Before their Pokemon can strike you are pulled away into the darkness by Shaun in his usual manner and dropped into the Reverse world. Your cover has been blown and now... There is no way of going back...

V2 Chapter 4 Pt 1 - Another Death..Another Funeral..

After the events of Radio Tower Subsided, Scythe and the others learned of Bill's death. The news hit each and everyone of them as hard as possible, and for Scythe it has pretty much destroyed what remains of his spirit and confidence.

The night before the Funeral...

Scythe makes his way into Bill's house, where he and the other's will be staying even with Bills abscence. "This isn't fair..." he thinks to himself as he makes his way into his room.

Scythe throws off his green coat containing his pokeballs, and lunges onto his bed backwards. "Why can't we save anyone...i'm sorry to all of you that we have failed..." he says outloud as the memories of Falkner, Bugsy, Gregory and Bill come to mind.

"Scythe you shouldn't blame yourself." a familiar voice says from in the corner of the room. "Grecko?" Scythe questions as the elder trainer flicks on the light switch.

"Ya it's me kid...I thought I would come see how your holding up. I guess not to good?" Grecko states as he takes a seat beside the spread out Scythe.

Scythe wipes the tears from his eyes and sits up, "It is my fault Grecko...were supposed to be saviors like you guys once were...but so far we haven't saved anyone."

Grecko stares at the boy after hearing his comment before saying, "Your wrong kid...just think about all of the towns people who are still alive because of you. If you guys hadn't stopped the black cloaked men, and team rocket in these major cities than there would have been some horrible disasters. But all of you pulled through when it counted and that's all that matters."

After hearing Grecko's statement Scythe's face brightens a little bit. "Ya i guess your right...but I still can't help but think about Gregory and the others" Scythe mutters.

"And thats ok...because that's what makes you human" Grecko tells the boy as he stands up.

"That does make sense...Yeah I mean if I just stayed in this room and cried, all of their deaths would be in vain, and im not going to let that happen!" Scythes voice gets louder as he to stands up.

Grecko throws on a smile and says, "Good because we can't afford to lose any of you now!"

"Ha thanks Gre..Ahh...god.." Scythe starts out before being interupted by his head. "Scythe you ok?" Grecko wonders as he grabs the trainers shoulder and lowers him to the bed.

"Ya i'll be fine its just...its just...my head is in so much pain from everything that's happened over the past couple days...it's getting harder to control it..." he says as he presses a pillow up to his forhead for pressure.

"Seviin huh?" Grecko questions. "I guess so...this all started when I got attacked by those two pokemon...must have damaged something in my head." Scythe says as he finally begins to understand.

"Ya trauma like that can really mess people up...but here I brought you some medicine...it should help with the headaches for now" Grecko speaks as he hands the boy three pills.

Scythe downs the pills before saying thanks. "Don't mention it kid...but those pills are going to put you to sleep pretty fast...so go ahead and rest before the funeral, i'll see ya there" Grecko whisperes as he walks to the door.

As Scythe hears this he begins to doze off to sleep..."Tha..Thanks...zzzzz"

Grecko opens the door and looks back over at the sleeping Scythe, "My pleasure kid.." he than walks out into the kitchen.

The next morning...

Scythe awakens with no headache and for the first time he feels refreshed. He slips out of his bed and looks at his Coat that has taken quite a beating since he started out on his journey.

"Not today coat" he says as he unclips his pokeballs and folds up the beat up coat. He than walks over to his bag and puts on the clothes his father packed him incase he decided to go to church.

He looks back throughout the room, "Well goodbye Bill" he says as he than exits the room. Inside Bill's living room all of the Dex holders and Clan of Hope elders are ready to head out to the Gym.

Grecko looks back and gives Scythe a nod. Scythe seeing this nods back as if to single he's ok. The huge group than leaves Bill's house and makes their way to the Funeral.

Along the way their, they pass many people dressed in black who seem to all be going to Bill's funeral and this astonishes Scythe. But as they enter the gym the site is even more astonishing.

Inside the gym is about a thousand or more people who came to give their last respects to one of the pokemon worlds greatest minds. "Wow...Bill really has made a difference" Scythe thinks to himself as he takes a seat next to one of the other dex holders.

Whitney is up ahead at the podium preparing to speak.

Scythe thinks to himself, "Shes right..." He than notices proffesor Elm preparing to give his speech, and Scythe can see how nervous he is.

"Whose this guy?" Scythe pondered as he listened to the man speak.

"So thats Bills nephew huh? I hope he knows what he's getting into" Scythe thought as he stood up and prepared to say goodbye to Bill.

As Sythe finally approaches the lifeless body of Bill a feeling of regret comes over him. He kneels and quietly begins to speak "Bill if it wasn't for you, me and the others probably would have been smashed to death by that Rhyperior and for that I thank you...You were a great man and even though I only knew you for such a short time I'm glad you played a part in my life. I swear I will stop the dark brotherhood...for you, Gregory, Bugsy Falkner, and anyone else they have ever hurt."

The boy stands up and wipes a small tear from the corner of his eye, he than makes his way to the back of the gym.

After the funeral Grecko and Gage round everyone up together.

"So this is our last day here...Atleast Whitney will be in good hands" Scythe says as he walks over to where his father had trained him the day of his gym battle.

As Scythe lowers down to the abandoned basement he releases Chukapis.

"PIKA!" Chukapis exclaims as it emerges from it's pokeball.

"Hey buddy...so are you ready to head off to Ecrueteak city and our next gym battle?" Scythe questions the little pokemon.

"PIKACHU!" Chukapis happily agrees as electricity shoots out of it's cheeks.

"Good i'm glad to hear it...there's only one thing we have to do...Face let's go!" Scythe shouts out as he sends out his newly evolved pokemon.

"URSSAAA!" it hollers with anger as it bursts out of it's ball.

"FACE it's me Scythe...your friend!" Scythe shouts out to the massive bear. This comment catches Face's attention as it turns around to look at Scythe.

"Yeah see it's me...I don't know what was up with you yesterday but I hope your not going to act like that all the time?" Scythe asks in a nervous voice.

"PIKACHU PIKA!" Chukapis than translates it for the Ursaring.

Face just looks at Scythe for a second before roaring, "URSAAA!!!!!!!"

"Come on Face stop!" Scythe screamed as Face began to swing it's fist at Chukapis.

"This isn't gonna solve anything! Chukapis use thunderbolt!" Scythe quickly urges the little mouse.

"PI Pi PIKA CHUUUU!" Chukapis quickly electricutes Face, but the pokemon stands it's ground.

"URSARIIIIING!" It uproars as it slams it's fist into Chukapis's stomach.

"Piiiika!!!" Chukapis cried as it was tossed into the wall beside Scythe.

"Ahh Chukapis are you ok?" Scythe asks as Ursaring gets closer. "Pi!" Chukapis cries as it stands back up.

"Wait Chukapis i got this!" Scythe says as he puts his arm out in front of the Pikachu.

"URSA!!!!" Face roars once again as it slams it's fist into Scythe who bounces off the wall, and falls flat to the ground.

"URSAAAA!!!!" it shouts as it pounds it's fist off of its chest. "PIKA?" Chukpais runs over to Scythe.

"I'm ok..." he says as he gets back up to his feet. "Haha...Face if you stand their and attack your own trainer...than i'm sorry for you.." he than states to his once loveable pokemon.

"URSA!" it says as it swings another fist for Scythe. "PIIIII!!" Chukapis cries it jumps up and takes the blow.

"Chukapis!" Scythe hollers as he darts over to the fainted pokemon. "pii..." it smiles as it passes out.

"Ok Face...were not leaving here...until we settle our differences!" Scythe than yells to Face.

The two stand across from each other and just share glances.

That morning there was nothing Liliana would have liked to do more than stay in bed and maybe disappear into the mattress for all eternity. But that was not an option. She dragged herself out of bed, feeling every muscle in her body in a painful way. It might have been two days after the events of the Radio Tower, but the grief was still fresh as if it had been a couple of minutes ago. For the previous days she had done little more than eat, sleep and read. She had discovered more of the book she found that day, apparently there were 7 parts, and had been reading through them non-stop. She was half-way through the 4th one now, where the protagonist had to go through three tasks in order to get the glory.

Today was the day of the funeral. She had gotten a black dress especially for this occasion, which was a big sign of respect in itself, for she very rarely wore dresses. This one was a simple and solid black dress, well, it was actually a very, very dark blue, which was evident in direct sunlight only. It had a wide and round neckline, showing some of her shoulder then moving into long, fitted sleeves. In the back it dipped a little bit. It was fitted through the waist and from there on it flared out into a light knee-length skirt. It was very basic and simple.

Liliana was determined to take the time to look nice for the funeral. In her mind it was a great tribute to him that she took the time to make herself look beautiful while all she wanted to do was climb back into her bed, pull the covers over herself and sleep into oblivion. Or retreat back into the fantasy that were those books, where she didn't have to be herself. Instead of doing what she absolutely wanted, she moved to the bathroom to do her hair.

She took her long darkbrown hair out of its braid, debating what to do with the long, now waving strands. She settled on putting it up in a bun and letting the rest of the hair flow out of it. Since it was way too long to just put into bun. Even after brushing it, the hair still waved. Which was normal, since it had been in a braid for the past two days. Liliana tried to smile at her reflection, but it just looked weak and fake, so she stopped. Instead she slipped into a pair of black Converse, fastened a belt with one of her bags around her waist and made her way into the hall where the others were waiting to depart.

They all walked toward the Gym where the funeral would be held. In the center of the gym was the casket, open it would seem, surrounded by white flowers. There were so many people there! It was lovely to see how many people cared for Bill and came to show their respects. She took a seat by the others of the group, holding her own white lily. She noticed Sahib a bit farther away, who was leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, his expression was unreadable. Whitney was the first to speak up.

"Bill lived his life for others, in fact he spent his entire life making the world more convenient for people and their Pokemon partners. I'm sure he was both happy and proud to die protecting what he believes in. It's a shame that only a handful of people will cry at this man's death, because when he died the entire world lost something important." She dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief and Lili felt some of her own sting her eyes. But she looked up toward the ceiling and pushed them back before looking back toward the podium, where now stood Professor Elm.

"Bill was one in a million, I can only pray that I might live my life half as bravely as he lived his." He opened and closed his mouth several times, but didn't seem to find the words and sat back down instead. The next person who came up had a familiar Glaceon by his side. He wore glasses and his hair was trimmed very short. Before Liliana could wonder who he was her question was answered.

"My uncle was a great man..." The realization of this sent more tears into Lili's eyes, and she couldn't hold them back any longer. ****, I don't have a handkerchief. she thought. She was trying to wipe them away with her hands when someone handed her a tissue, which she took gratefully. She had no time to see who it was because the boy started talking again.

"He pushed himself everyday and I'm sure the only regret he had in death was that he never saw the end of his soaps." She smiled at this, and everywhere around her was shaky laughter. "I know he would want somebody to take his place helping the Clan of Hope and developing the technology that makes our lives easier and I assure you I will take his place. I also know that at his funeral he wouldn't want anyone to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life. He died for a better tomorrow.... But he lived for a better today....." He whipped his eyes, and several sniffs were heard all around. "Please spend as much time as you feel necessary to say good bye... Thank you."

This was when everyone stood and made a line toward the Casket. Liliana played with the white lily in her hand that she bought to put by the casket. She peered into the thing only to see a Bill that looked just a bit too white to be sleeping, but he could have. He looked almost peaceful in his slumber. She gently put the lily next to the casket, with the other flowers. "I'm sorry Bill." She whispered. "I'm sorry for what I did, and for what I will do. I'm sorry for everything."

With that she left the little platform to join the others where Grecko and Gage were standing. She noticed Sahib, who was wearing a bright white undershirt under the black and gray shirt she had picked out for him that day. With it he wore solid black pants. She smiled up at him but wasn't sure if he'd noticed. It was strange, but the boy's words had lifted a bit of the sadness off of her shoulders. It made sense, they had to live on, not let his death go in vain. But that was easier said than done.

When everyone had arrived Grecko started speaking. "This is truly a sad day, but we also feel that we are holding your journeys up you have been in golden rod for too long." This was a bit shocking to Lili, she had no desire whatsoever to go out again. But she knew that it made sense. Suddenly an intense pang of guilt came over her. Guilt for being a traitor to all these people who had been nothing but kind to her.

"We can understand that you're tired of being in danger and harm all the time, we went through it to… but you can't give up, you trainers are what is holding the balance of the light and dark in place." Gage told them all. Lili was a bit surprised that he understood her so well, before remembering that Gage must have been through a similar thing himself. He should know how defeated they all felt. It was only that tiny bit comforting to know that it wasn't the Brotherhood who had killed this time.

So this will be your last day in Golden Rod, we shall protect Whitney and if there is no threat on her life you will be free to move on to Ecruteak city." Another gym.. Every town they had come to that had a gym, the leaders had been murdered. Except here, but Shaun was no doubt already plotting. He did have them weaken her Pokémon before. That had to mean something.

She walked away from the group and settled on a bench nearby, then she released Sarabi. "You did say that something bad was going to happen, didn't you?" Lili dug her fingers in the Pokémon's fur and started petting her. Sarabi's eyes closed in delight and Lili could have sword she heard some kind of purr.

"I wonder if you meant the radio tower? That was a complete disaster if you ask me. We didn't even get to this Giovanni-person in time before he flew away. Who was he anyway? And Bill, oh god, Bill." She was more talking to herself instead of to the Absol, but the creature didn't mind, it got to be pet. "I wonder what will be waiting for us in Acruteak. No doubt more disasters, they seem to follow us around."

Suddenly the Absol stiffened, she backed off away from Lili and the unsettling green eyes shot open to stare directly at Liliana. "What's wrong? Sarabi?! Do you- Do you feel something?" Lili stammered. Sarabi continued staring at her before moving her head in a nod. "Does it have to do with Whitney?" She asked but the Absol shook her head and continued staring at her.

"Does-" She started, then swallowed and started again. "Does it have something to do wi-with me?" Sarabi's eyes filled with sadness before nodding again. "Thanks, Sarabi, for the warning." Was all Lili could utter. She was really grateful to her Pokémon, but to hear that something really bad was going to happen to her, it was frightening. She couldn't help but think about what it was. It wasn't Whitney, it was her. Was she going to die? NO! It had something to do with her, that's what Sarabi told her. Not that it was directly her that was the disaster. Right?

Sahib was lying on the bed in his room. It had been a full two days since the incident at the Radio Tower. It appeared as though everything was calm. Sahib was sore and he left slightly bad about Bill's death. He knew that the funeral was soon—but honestly Sahib didn't feel much like getting up or moving. He had already showered, so now he was lying on the bed in basically his boxers. There was a small wet mark on his bed from his hair. He wasn't sure what to wear, because honestly he'd never really been to a funeral that wasn't Indian.

In my type of funerals, Sahib thought, glancing at his pack. You wear…well, white, he mused. Sahib had a pair of nice white clothes in his bag that stayed inside a shopping bad so not to get damaged. He never really thought when he packed them he'd ever use them though. Sahib sighed, rolled off the bed, and stared at his backpack. But this isn't an Indian funeral, he thought as he stood and finally walked over to the backpack. So I'll just grab nice **** and throw it on.

Sahib looked at the clothes that he figured were his nicest. He had a white undershirt. Sahib knew it was one of his tighter ones, but he figured it would do. The shirt was comfortable, and the material was made by some odd designer company his father had…hook ups to. Sahib had also somehow pulled out the shirt he had gotten with Lili. For pants, he had a nice pair of black jeans. Sahib had even found a pair of black dress shoes in his bag instead of his Converse. How did that all fit? He wondered vaguely as he slipped his clothes on.

Sahib noticed that the entire group was there, along with the Clan of Hope "leaders". He glanced at Lili. She was wearing a dress. Sahib looked away and stared off into the distance. He followed the large group to the white gym. Soon they were there. Most of the group sat down, while a few others stayed standing. Sahib chose to stay standing. He leaned against one of the walls, eyeing the white flowers and Bill's open casket. Sahib didn't feel comfortable around crying people. He just never had enough emotion to cry. So he crossed his arms and thought in bitter amusement, I should've worn more white…then I would've just mostly blended in. Whitney took her place at the podium.

"Bill lived his life for others; in fact, he spent his entire life making the world more convenient for people and their Pokémon partners. I'm sure he was both happy and proud to die protecting what he believes in. It's a shame that only a hand full of people will cry at this man's death, because when he died the entire world lost something important." Sahib noted that she was very close to tears. She pulled out a handkerchief and dabbed at her eyes before walking off. Someone was practically bawling in the background. Sahib stayed silent, arms still crossed. Professor Elm walked up to the podium next, slightly stumbling as he did so.

Elm wiped his forehead with a cloth. Then he placed it in his front pocket and took what appeared to be a steadying breath. "Bill was one in a million, and I can only pray that I might live my life half as bravely as he lived his." Elm bit his lip, but then backed off the podium before saying anything else. Sahib followed Elm with his eyes as Elm nervously took a seat in front of the casket. Someone new walked up to the podium with Elm's Glaceon at his side. His hair was very short, and there was a pair of glasses resting on his nose. His build was tall and thin.

"My uncle was a great man…" the boy said, looking down. He looked back at the people moments later. "He pushed himself every day, and I'm sure the only regret he had in death was that he never saw the end of his soaps." Sahib glanced at the people when some laughed with mixed feelings. "I know he would want somebody to take his place helping the Clan of Hope and developing the technology that makes our lives easier, and I assure you I will take his place. I also know that at his funeral he wouldn't want anyone to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life." Sahib snorted, why does it seem like that line always comes up? "He died for a better tomorrow…but he lived for a better today." The man wiped his eyes. Sahib sighed, wanting it to be over. "Please spend as much time as you feel necessary to say goodbye…thank you." Bill's nephew stepped off of the stage and sat down next to Sly.

And then the line began. Sahib leaned against the wall for a long while. Finally he dragged himself in line. After a while, it was his turn. Sahib glanced at the body. You know, he thought, you gave so much to us, only to have it be taken away. Sahib stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked away, his cold mask-like expression visible on his face. My only regret is that you were hospitable to me.

After the funeral, Grecko gathered all of them up. Gage helped, but Sahib didn't really give much of a care who was doing what. They, all huddled in one room, began a meeting of sorts.

"This is truly a sad day, but we also feel that we are holding your journeys up. You have been in Goldenrod for too long," Grecko said. No dip, Sahib thought in annoyance. Gage decided to take over.

"We can understand that you're tired of being in danger and harm all the time, we went through it too…but you can't give up, you trainers are what is holding the balance of the light and dark in place." Gage stared everyone down, almost willing them to believe he knew how they felt. You have no idea how I feel, Sahib thought, I honestly don't care if I'm in danger. It's other people…well…

Sahib, you do not feel for others unless they have ties with you.

Sahib frowned at Alakazam's thought, clearly annoyed that he was being basically mind-read. He hoped the words weren't going to his father. Dad…Sahib thought sadly.

"So! This will be your last day in Goldenrod, we shall protect Whitney and if there is no threat on her life then you will be free to move on to Ecruteak City." Then, they were dismissed. Sahib sighed as he walked out.

The girl who seemed to have been doing nothing before charged forward with two Pokemon balls in her hand, she tossed them up and the man at Cairnes right pulled out a Pokemon Ball of his own. "Mind giving me an assist?" He said flashing a smile that Cairne recognized.

"...Sure." Cairne said taking it all in. "Let's go Slash!" Cairne released his Pokemon and took a good look at the opponents in front of him. He pulled out his Pokedex and aimed it at the two Pokemon.

Nidorino

"Let's go Machamp!" The man said releasing his Pokemon as well. Cairne aimed his Pokedex at the Pokemon.

Machamp

Something was so familiar about this but Cairne just couldn't put his finger on it. "Machamp! Use Seismic Toss!" The man said Pointing at Cairnes Pokemon. His Pokemon clutched Slash in its palm and tossed it hard across the room.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Cairne yelled at the man.

"Just shut up and watch." The familiar man said laughing a familiar laugh. Slash bashed off the Nidorinas forehead knocking it over onto its side, Cairne understood the strategy now but it still seemed unecesary.

"Nidorino use Horn Attack on the Machamp! Nidorina get to your feet and use Poison Fang!" She said shakily.

"Aqua Jet!" Cairne yelled to his ancient Pokemon who shot a blast of water from its mouth into the Nidorinas face slamming it clear across the room again.

"Ice Punch!" Cairne heard from his right. He watched as his Team mates Pokemon missed its target and received a horn jabbed into its side.

"Good job Nidorino! Now use your Poison Jab!" The Pokemons horn glowed a dark purple as it charged for the stunned Machamp.

"Stop him with Mud Ball!" Slash shot orbs of mud in Nidoinos direction. The Pokemon turned its head distracted and just as it did the cloak man yelled out a command.

"Low Kick Machamp!" He yelled and his Pokemon slammed its foot into the Nirdorinos face sending it tumbling back. It landed next to the recovering Nidorina and quickly crawled back to its feet.

"Both of you use Poison Sting on the Kabuto!" A giant flurry of purple needles came directly at Slash.

"Come on Machamp use Cross Chop!" The man besides Cairne yelled and his Pokemon charged at the Nidorino leaving Slash to defend for itself. Slash was hit by every needle and knocked into unconsciousness on the other side of the room as the Machamp attacked the opponents Pokemon with a barrage of attacks. The two Nidos fell to the ground defeated. "Great Job Machamp, return!" He said bringing his Pokemon back to its ball. The girl did the same returning hers and Cairne followed.

"Why did you leave my Pokemon defenseless like that?!" Cairne yelled at the cloaked man.

"We won didn't we? Stop your *****ing, your exactly the same as you were when we were kids, weak!" He laughed at Cairne who could feel the anger welling up inside of him. All at once everything clicked and Cairne understood.

"James?" Cairne asked in amazement..

"Not much brighter either I see." He took off his hood and grinned at Cairne. In the background Cairne could hear someone yelling, he turned around.

"You're all murderers! You will never get away with this!" It was the leader screaming from the corner. James crossed the gap between the two and struck him across the face with the back of his hand. The man who was standing next to Liliana turned.

"We'll take care of this, go meet up with the other goody goodies." James said mockingly, Cairne nodded and led the other two up a stair case leading up into the next room. From behind Cairne could hear gunshots and everyone stopped. He turned and looked at the other two before the short one, Damion began screaming incoherently. Liliana said something in response but Cairne wasn't listening at that point, what was done, was done...

--------------------------------------------------------------

The doors creaked as Cairne pushed them open. He stepped forward and along with the other two who were with him he joined the large group of dex holders. Cairne was shocked by two things in particular. First of all Kaitlyn all but had her arm torn off.

And second of all... Grecko, Gage, Angela, Lance, and Elm were all knocked out on the ground. Cairne figured that they must have been taken out before they even faught because there was no sign of a struggle. Old lady Sly was on her knee in front of a giant patchwork of machinery.

"Oh Sly, it's been awhile since I helped you during Kanto's dark days, but things are different now, and I have new goals in mind" Cairne heard from the robotic structure the red haired man at his right let out a confident laugh. Sly looked up at the mechanical monstrosity.

"This isn't even right; you're supposed to be dead Giovanni!" She shouted towards the robotic creature, apparently it had a name. Cairne then recognized the name perfectly, surely she couldn't have meant the crime lord? The machine hovered forward from the darkness and Cairne finally got a good look at his face.

"Oh I was, it's amazing what science can do! It can bring the dead back to life and now I can finish what I started" He said in an artificial voice. Cairne took a better look at the man in front of him. Every part of the mans body was strapped into some sort of machinery in that wheelchair of his. Heart monitors, breathing machines, feeding tubes, anything you could think of was strapped from the man into the chair. He leans his head up and Cairne could hear the heart monitor begin to speed up. Sly pulled up to her feet and turned to see the Dex Holders.

"Well Giovanni looks like we have some unexpected company; I guess you'll have to take them out as well?" She says and the cyborg let out what seemed to be half a laugh and half a cough.

"Well unfortunately for them I have gathered all the test results and data I need from this and it is time for my departure but be aware that Team Rocket is alive, and our new plan will not fail!" The chair begins rapidly speeding backwards until it smashes out the window in the back. Cairne ran forward at Kaitlyns side to see if the mangled robotic creature survived. A giants blast of wind struck Cairne and out of the window hovered a helicopter with Giovanni in it. His son leaped outward and remarkably landed into the helicoptor. Giovannis artificial laugh boomed out of the helicoptor as it took off.

"Thank you for coming, I was unsure whether Grecko's call would be enough to spark your attention. They were knocked unconscious with sleeping gas, but they'll awaken soon." She paused for a second and Cairne could tell a terrible thought had just crossed her mind..

"If science was able to bring Giovanni back to life then…. No never mind that isn't possible" She says as you wonder what in the world she is talking about. There was a big difference between being alive and being no longer dead.... Cairne thought to himself.

((Four pages people, 4 FREAKING pages...))

Liliana had been completely lost in her worried thoughts when the bench croaked from the weight that had been added. She looked up, startled because she hadn't heard anyone apprach, to look up at the familiar face of Sahib. Sheesh, even sitting he was taller than she was.

"Um, hey," she smiled up at him, trying to hide the fact that this was very nearly the worst day of her life. Right now she just wanted to forget everything that was happening. Maybe have a fun day for a change. She got a muttered hi back. "You look.." Sahib started before thinking of a word. "Nice. Yet you look like you feel like crap." This guy really had a way of making a girl feel like a million bucks.

"That just started so promising," she laughed shakily. "Who wouldn't feel like crap right now? I hate funerals." She chose not to tell him about Absol and all that. Plus, nothing of this was a lie. "He just, didn't deserve to die, you know?"

"No one really deserves it." Was the response she got from Sahib. "It's a part of living, thought, you know?" she nodded and he continued. "But that doesn't make it hurt any less, does it?" That was truth, it really didn't make anything hurt less. But he was right, death was as much part of life as birth.

"No, it doesn't. But then again, just being miserable won't help us either." She really hated how awkward things had gotten between them since Goldenrod. No, since Ilex. "you know what? Let's do something, get our mind off of things. Have some fun." She looked up at him again and smiled. His eyebrows shot up faster than she had thought them capable of.

"And what, pray tell, is your definition of fun? I'm not up for going shopping again." He seemed to be afraid of what she would come up with and she laughed.

"I don't know, anything other sitting here sulking! And you have only really laughed once, remember?" She thought of what they could do. Goldenrod was a big city, there ought to be plenty of things. She jumped up with an idea. "The game corner! Up for some gambling? Plus, this might very well be the last time you'll ever see me in a dress! You have to treasure this moment." She made a quick turn on the spot, making the skirt flare out a bit.

Sahib glanced at the dress and then back to her face, complete with smirk on his face. "Well, I guess I will have to treasure it." The smirk seemed to be glued permanently to his face. "Gambling it is. Lead the way… You do know the way, right?"

"Ehm, sure!" with that she started walking in a general direction. In fact, she didn't at all know the way, and she got lost in the twisting streets of the city twice before they had to ask directions from a citizen and finally found the Game Corner. "See!" Lili said excitedly. "I got us here, didn't I?"

"Of course you did." Sahib said with a roll of his eyes. He patted her on her head like on would do to a puppy before holding the door open for her. "See, I can be somewhat of a gentleman."

"Yet you can't even compliment a lady," She said as she entered the building. It was quite a light area, full of slot machines and even a couple of roulette tables. She excitedly purchased some coins from a man at the counter and debated on what to do. "Where should we go first?" There was just so much to do. Liliana felt like a little girl who had just entered a toy store.

Sahib walked up to her with his own coins now. "You know, you're acting like a little kid in some kind of toy or candy shop." Lili blushed after being caught in her own thoughts before protesting. "But besides that," Sahib continued. "I vote slot machines. My mum taught me this trick when I was a kid that always works so you get 7s nearly every time. " He grinned sheepishly. "Which is how I… earned… my money when we went on little trips here."

"Well, just don't get us thrown out for cheating okay!" She said with a laugh before choosing a slot machine and giving it three of her coins. She pulled the handle three times, almost getting 3 pikachus, but then the last one ended on a poliwag. "Dammit! Again!" This would probably go on for a long time. A snicker came from next to her where Sahib was in front of his machine.

"Watch and learn." He instructed her as he pulled the handle, a moonstone stood in the middle. He then waited a couple of seconds and pulled the handle again, and got another moonstone. "You see? You wait the amount of seconds the symbol gives you out in coins and there you go. But I do like to mess up sometimes." The machine stopped at another moonstone and 15 coins dropped from it.

"But that's cheating!" she hissed at him. "It's no fun that way!" Yet she tried it. First time she got a moonstone too, she waited for 15 seconds and pulled the handle, but was a second too late and got another Pikachu. "Dammit, again!" To her surprise Sahib laughed. That's two, she counted.

"It's only cheating, when you do it properly." He said. "Ha ha, funny," Was Lili's response.

"Here." Sahib got up and moved behind her. "Now you take the first pull. Then see if you can pull it at the same time I do, on the count. Hopefully you can get it this time." He smirked, but she just nodded.

"Okay, here goes!" She pulled the handle once, a 7 appeared. Sahib counted under his breath and Lili waited for him to get to the right number. Then she pulled the handle just at the same time as he did. "See, you've got it." He whispered this very close to her ear and she suddenly noticed that he was leaning pretty close to her and she felt her face heat up a bit. "And you're at 26, by the way. Keep going… do it yourself this time. 41."

She nodded and counted in her head. 49, 60, 75. "Now!" She said as she pulled the handle and the last 7 stopped in place. "I did it! Did you see that, I did it!" She squealed happily as the machine started spitting out coins at her.

"Yeah you did it, I bet you couldn't do it again." This came with a chuckle. Liliana hit him semi-hard on his arm. "Stop raining on my parade! Fine then, want to bet? What if I could do it again?"

"Bet on what exactly? Money?" Sahib asked. She had to think about this one. "No, I don't need any more money. How about this, if I win, you have to be nice to me for the rest of the day."

Sahib seemed to think about this for a moment. "Define nice. And what happened if I'm not 'nice'?"

"Nice meaning no mean comments, no raining on my parades and being a gentleman. And you have to be nice, because it's part of the deal." She decided. These demands were met with a sigh and the rolling of eyes. "Alright, fine." Sahib said. "But if I win then you have to tell me your worst nightmare."

"Fine with me, but you'll never get to know it anyway." She said, bluffing because she really didn't feel that confident. She pulled the handle and she gooooot… A cherry. 1..2..3..4..5..She pulled the handle and another cherry appeared. She waited six more counts before pressing down hard on the handle, the thing turned for a few seconds before stopping at a… Cherry.

"YES! I win!" She poked Sahib in the chest. "You have to be nice to me all day now. I am already looking forward to it!" Sahib jutted out his lip in a fake pout. "Fine… I guess I lose"

She took the 6 coins the machine spit out and went to cash them with the rest of her meager winnings while Sahib cashed his winnings, which were significantly better than hers. "What exactly do we do now?" He asked.

They both walked outside and Lili considered what to do. That was when she saw a glimpse of a pond in the distance. "There!" She said, pointing in the direction. "Let's go to that pond!" She was already walking toward it and Sahib trailed after her.

"Why exactly are we going to a pond?" He questioned. She smiled mysteriously at him. "You'll see, now come on." The pond itself was pretty big for a city pond, with a big bamboo bridge that crossed it and a park surrounding it. There was a fountain spraying water in the middle and some reeds everywhere and nowhere.

"Look! Do you see that?" She pointed somewhere near their spot, in the water. The water there was quite deep, deep enough. She waited for him to inch closer to the side of the water before coming from behind him and giving one, big push. Her plan succeeded and Sahib tumbled face-forward into the water. She laughed as he came up and glared at her.

"That wasn't nice!" He said in a light tone. She smiled innocently. "I don't have to be nice." His next move she didn't expect. He grabbed her foot and pulled. She lost her balance and fell into the water also. She came up spluttering and glared at Sahib. "What happened to the being nice arrangement me made?" Sahib blinked innocently at her.

"My bad, I completely forgot." He held out his hand. "Would you like help getting out of the water?" He grinned mischievously and it just smelled like a trap. But oh well. "Sure why not," she replied, taking his hand carefully. Before she had the time to react he snapped his other hand on hers, trapping her, and smirked. "You know," he tugged her closer. "I should hurt you for soaking my amazing clothes. I mean, look, my white shirt is like, probably ruined."

"Stop acting like a girl, manly man, I thought guys weren't supposed to care about that sort of thing. And plus, you're not the one in the dress." She countered. He seemed to think of what to do with her and she uselessly tried to get away from him. Boys, she forgot how much of jerks they could be.

He shrugged, suddenly being mr. cool again. "I care when I like the shirt. As for the dress, I am sort of sorry." He grinned. "So, what did you have in mind for me once you pushed me in here?"

"Sort of sorry?" Lili mentally thanked the unnamed gods for having been to a funeral, thus wearing black. She actually had nothing more in mind then just pushing him in, but she wasn't going to let him know that. She smiled at him sweetly. "That, my friend, is a mystery you might never get to know."

"You're not going to tell me?" He asked and she grinned maliciously. "Not on your life." She replied.

"That's mean." Is what he said. "Although I guess I was mean to you, huh?" He didn't wait for an answer before continuing. "Why does it seem like you don't always seem focused on my face?"

In fact, Liliana might have been a tiny bit distracted by the fact that his white shirt was a little… wet. But she was never going to admit that to him. She quickly had to think of something clever to say. "Maybe it's because I have something to hide." She stared him right in the eyes with a playful smile. He was about to ask, before changing his mind.

"Can we get out of the water now? And if so, what exactly do you have to hide?" Crap, she thought, that might not have been the smartest thing to say.

To evade the topic of hiding things she commented on a very true fact. "I'm not the one who's holding me trapped." Sahib was still holding her hand in his and she looked him straight in the eyes. She jumped and blushed when she heard someone clear his throat.

"Em, hello Lili." She looked up to see Tristan standing at the side of the water. He was wearing normal clothing again, a blue, grey and white striped shirt unbuttoned to reveal a white sleeveless shirt underneath. Of course it was Tristan, when did he ever stay away? And he seemed to be glaring at Sahib. She remembered him calling him 'tall dark and not-so-handsome' a few days before, and wondered why he didn't like him. Sahib was taller than Tristan by a bit, but Tristan was more muscled than he was. And way more confident.

"Hey, Tristan." She said coolly. She glanced at Sahib, who had narrowed his eyes at Tristan. What the hell? What's with guys and simply deciding not to like someone? What was wrong/i] with them?!

"Who's he?" Sahib asked as he helped her out of the water. She straightened her skirt as much as she could, which wasn't much truthfully, it was very heavy now it was wet and was clinging to her legs. Sahib's tone annoyed her, as if he demanded to know who this guy was. It wasn't his business who she was friends with.

"Sahib, this is Tristan a friend of mine, Tristan, this is Sahib, a friend of mine. Anyway, what are you doing here Tristan?" She asked suspiciously. The air was so tense, it could be cut with a knife. Tristan just smiled casually and arrogantly.

"I hadn't seen you in a couple of days, I was really getting worried you know." He said with a half-smile. But she could see that this display wasn't just for her. He was trying to show Sahib that he knew her well enough.

Sahib assumed a blank look and folded his arms in front of his chest like he did when he was guarded. "So.." Sahib began, his tone was weird, Liliana couldn't quite place it. "When did you meet him?" What was that for a question, who cared when she'd met him?

"A little bit after I really met you, actually. Right after the double battle." Right before the kidnapping and almost killing… she added in her mind. Tristan seemed to like this answer and grinned over at Sahib.

"Nice dress, Lili, looks good on you," Tristan complimented. The remark made her feel self-conscious and she tried to smooth out the wet skirt again, which was totally not doing what she wanted it to. "Thanks," she muttered. She looked from Sahib, to Tristan, to Sahib again. Sahib seemed to be struggling to keep his face even and Tristan was just looking at her with a cocky expression. Honestly! It was infuriating.

"Would you guys stop throwing testosterone around in your stupid little man-off?!" She yelled at them, frustrated. What was wrong with the two of them anyway?! Tristan looked a bit shocked, like things hadn't gone the way he planned them. Sahib just blinked.

"Sorry," he muttered as he smiled at her sheepishly. He glanced at Tristan. "I should probably go… I told Jean I'd find him and stuff, so…" He left the ending awkwardly open, as if he wanted nothing more than to just get away from the other two.

Tristan leaned close behind Lili and stage-whispered, loud enough for Sahib to hear. "Who's Jean, his boyfriend?" Lili sighed and elbowed him hard in the gut, he gasped, clutching his stomach. She then approached Sahib and hugged him. It was half-in-half a surprise when he hugged her back, but a pleasant one. Even if she had to stand on her tippy-toes to reach him.

"Remember what I said, no one's truly evil, huh?" Sahib muttered in her ear, and she smiled at him when they broke apart. He glanced over her shoulder for a second, before walking away. When she turned back to Tristan she had a victorious smile on her face and was content to see him glare behind her. That ought to show him.

"So…" she began, and Tristan turned his attention back to her. The cocky expression changed into a kinder one. Liliana rolled her eyes at this, but Tristan suddenly turned serious.

"Johannes told me what happened that day, the Radio Tower…" He honestly sounded worries about her. All his cockiness had disappeared.

"So now that Sahib is gone, you can talk normally to me again?" She challenged him, one eyebrow up. It was ridiculous, really. A small part of her wondered if he was jealous, and she had to say, she kind of liked that option.

He smiled at her apologetically. "Sorry," he began. "But that guy just pisses me right off! It's just something about him that makes me want to strangle him."

"I am sure the feeling is mutual," Liliana told him. "Forget about it. Well, did Johannes tell you what he did also?" The disapproval was strongly evident in her tone, Tristan suddenly got all defensive. He crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Look, I told you about Johannes, didn't I? I also told you that he does things he's not proud of!" Liliana instantly regretted ever mentioning this. He was right, she had also obeyed Shaun's orders, even though none of them were as bad as that. No doubt, if she stayed, she would be force to do things far worse than she had done before.

"You really care for Johannes, don't you?" She asked him, and Tristan nodded. "He's like a brother to me. But enough about this, let's talk about a merrier topic shall we? Like how that that kidney-shot was totally uncalled for!"

"Totally uncalled for?" Liliana objected. "You knew very well that Jean wouldn't be his boyfriend, and that that whisper, really wasn't a whisper. You were just delivering a cheap shot, so I thought I'd give you one too."

"Well, it still hurts! You might be tiny, but boy can you hurt someone." Liliana definitely did not appreciate that comment. It was one thing to feel small yourself, and another for someone else to call you tiny. But before she could hurl another comment at him, Tristan spoke again. "You know, as much as I love that wet look on you, no really I do, but you should really change into something dry before you get sick or something."

She grumbled, but he had a point. It wasn't a particularly warm day and she was getting rather cold. "Well, you just gave me the perfect excuse to leave you." She teased, and he grinned back.

"Not so easy, lassie. I'll at least escort you home like a proper gentleman." He held out his arm for her to take and she took it. "You see, I'm so much better than that Indian du- OEF!" He got cut short by an elbow to the ribs, coming from an innocently smiling Liliana.

"You know, Coconut, you should really reel in that tempter of yours. There's a real gorgon within you there!"

"You know, you're not as creepy as I thought you were when I first met you," Liliana said, thinking about that day when she fought him with the Spiritomb. And he had been a total creep, complete with mysterious riddles and manic laughter.

"It's called acting, Lil. I was told to freak you out so I did. Didn't you think that was an amazing performance? I thought so. Should've won an Oscar for that!" He chuckled in the evil way he had done that day.

"Trust me, you did your job well. I bet you're glad I didn't get killed that day. And what's with you and nicknames? Anna, Coconut and now Lil? Can't you just call me Lili like everyone else does?"

"I did!" Tristan protested. "I called you Lili just moments ago, I just like to change things up a bit, you know." He smiled at her before taking her hand in his and brought his up in a motion that made her turn like they do in ballroom dances. "And yes, I am quite glad you didn't get killed that day." He smiled at her for a second. "We're here."

Liliana quickly turned around to see they were indeed in close to Bill's house, but far away enough that she wouldn't really be seen with Tristan, in case anyone recognized him. "Well, thanks for walking me, I think I can handle it from here. Really, thanks." With that she hugged him too, which he answered, before pulling away and walking toward the house. It was getting quite late, the sun was already on its way of setting. A couple of hours ago she would have seen it as impossible for this day to get any better, but it had. It really had been a delightful day.

Dutchesse: Amazing post!! I really enjoyed the co-op relationship with Sahib, and then Tristan coming!

:'(

It had been two days since the assault at the Radio Tower and Cairne still hadn't slept. He sat up in bed next to Omen, lately he hadn't wanted to return to his ball. He felt it would be morbid to bring the Pokemon to a funeral but he had no other choice, the Pokemon refused to leave his side or return to its ball. Cairne got to his feet and took a cold shower, he shaved his face and pulled his hair back into a Ponytail. He wrapped the towel around his waist and walked back into his room letting the next person take the bathroom.

"This isn't right Omen... None of this is right... I'm supposed be strong... And yet I couldn't save Bill or even protect Kaitlyn... It's my fault that they were hurt... I need to tell someone..." He began to button up the overcoat to the suit his grandfather had bought him. Omen sat by the window spying on the passerby as Cairne slipped into his uncomfortable dress shoes.

The pair walked out of the house and joined the other mourners who were leaving for the funeral. He took a peek around his grandmother at Kaitlyn who... Of course.. Had the most interesting outfit of the bunch. Her arm was limp and obviously still recovering but she seemed fine for now. She never once made eye contact with Cairne.

The group walked into the gym which was now filled with an abundance of white flowers, in contrast was the black casket in the center of the gym in which Bills body lay. Cairne was amazed by the amount of people who showed up to the funeral, many had their Pokemon out ad Cairne felt less out of place with Omen at his side. He took a seat between his Grandfather and Kaitlyn. Omen sat attentively at Cairnes feet as Whitney stood up to the Podium behind Bills casket.

"Bill lived his life for others, in fact he spent his entire life making the world more convenient for people and their Pokemon partners. I'm sure he was both happy and proud to die protecting what he believes in. It's a shame that only a handful of people will cry at this mans death, because when he died the entire world lost something important." She pulled out a handkerchief and began wiping her eyes clean. Cairne looked down and took a deep breath as Elm stumbled to the podium.

Elm wiped the sweat from his forehead and nervously tucked the handkerchief into his pocket. "Bill was one in a million, I can only pray that I might live my life half as bravely as he lived his." His voice cracked and he seemed to want to say one last thing but instead he walked off the podium and allowed the next person to stand. A young man who looked similar to Bill and had Bills Glaceon at his side took the podium. He pushed his glasses back up his nose and ran his fingers through his short hair.

"My uncle was a great man..." He looked away from the faces of the people. That explained why they looked so similar, he looked back up and continued. "He pushed himself everyday and I'm sure the only regret he had in death was that he never saw the end of his soaps." Cairne let out a light chuckle along with his grandfather. "I know he would want somebody to take his place helping the Clan of Hope and developing the technology that makes our lives easier and I assure you I will take his place. I also know that at his funeral he wouldn't want anyone to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life. He died for a better tomorrow.... But he lived for a better today....." He wiped his eyes clean and the choked on his words. "Please spend as much time a you feel necessary to say good bye... Thank you." He finished and sat down next to Sly who rubbed his back.

Cairne stood up and walked behind his grandparents who approached the casket. Cairne looked down on the man who had opened his home to him and he could feel something welling up inside of him.

"You died because I was to weak, because I was too slow to save you... I'm sorry for all of this... You deserved better. I swear to you that no one else will ever be hurt because I was too weak." A tear fell from Cairnes cheek into the casket.

He stood and walked away with his Pokemon at his side. He turned and looked back to see Kaitlyn staring at him. He wiped the tear from his face and looked away from her. He wasn't crying because he would miss Bill... He was crying because when Bill dying was just another example of him being weak... Helpless.

After the funeral Grecko gathered all of the Dex holders up along with Gage. "This is truly a sad day, but we also feel that we are holding your journeys up you have been in golden rod for to long." Grecko says Gage steps in.

"We can understand that your tired of being in danger and harm all the time, we went through it to… but you can't give up, you trainers are what is holding the balance of the light and dark in place." Cairne grandfather said from behind his black-tinted glasses.

"So this will be your last day in Golden Rod, we shall protect Whitney and if there is no threat on her life you will be free to move on to Eructek city." Grecko said after a short pause.

Cairne turned his head once more and looked at Kaitlyn. She approached him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Are you going to be okay?"

"Yeah... Sure I am... You?" Cairne lied.

"I guess..." She responded dryly.

"It's my fault he's dead Kai..." Cairne pushed the words from his mouth.

"It's no ones fault that he died Cairne." She assured him.

"It's my fault you got hurt too Kaitlyn... I couldn't protect you..." Cairne looked down.

"What are you talking about?" She asked bluntly.

"Because of my decisions... My mistakes... I couldn't help you or Bill.."

"First of all I don't need your protection Cairne. And secon--"

"Obviously you do Kai! I mean look at you! Look at what happened to you that I could have stopped! There's something I need to tell you and you need to listen alright?"

"No I don't think I do! You have to listen Cairne, you keep pretending that you're some kind of chivalrous knight but in reality your just a kid who thinks the world revolves around him! I did fine without you in my life and I will continue to do fine without you! I'm a big girl now, I don't need anyone to protect me!" She turned and stomped away. And now Cairne was once again... Alone..

Once inside, Lucas noticed that the path to Whitney was a brick road with flower boxes scattered in various places throughout the gym, an interesting choice for indoors, Lucas thought. After walking through the gym for several minutes, Lucas finally reached the gym leader. He found her watering some nearby flowers. Wearing a white and pink outfit, with pink hair, Lucas could tell that she wasn't the kind of person he would ever be able to be around, for any amount of time. Even the gym battle might be too long for Lucas. I'll have to hurry up and win, then!

"Hello! Are you here for a gym battle?", she asked, "I'm Whitney!"
Lucas was already getting annoyed, "Yeah, I'm here for a gym battle…I'm Lucas", he hesitated putting in the last part, but figured it was common courtesy.

"Alright, it's a three on three match! Let's begin! Go Clefable!", Whitney said, before throwing out a pokeball, and much to Lucas's annoyance, it was a pink pokemon.
"Krad, you should be fine to fight this pokemon, right?", Lucas looked down at Krad, who had already started walking out to the battle area. Heh, he never changes, Lucas sighed, watching his pokemon. "Krad, let's use that Agility you just got!", Krad nodded, then dashed around the area, getting faster as he did so.

"Wow! That's faaaaaaaaaast! Clefable, make yourself smaaaaaaaaaaaaller!", Whitney called. Does she REALLY have to stretch out the words like that? She's annoying enough as it is…The fairy pokemon suddenly began shrinking at an alarming rate, while Whitney cheered happily as her pokemon got smaller and smaller. …I think I have a headache already…How old is she supposed to be anyways?

"Krad, use Slam on that Clefable!", Lucas ordered, watching as Krad sped towards the Clefable, before punching at the ground where Clefable stood several times. Much to Krad's annoyance, the small pokemon danced around each and every hit.

"You're gonna have to do better then thaaaaaaaaaaaat! Clefable, wave your fiiiiiiingers!", Whitney called, leaving Lucas once again questioning her actual age. Meanwhile, the mini fairy had started waving around it's fingers in a Metronome attack. A few seconds later, the Clefable began hopping up and down, Whitney smacked her head, and sighed, "Not a Splaaaaaaaaaash attack!"

Lucas grinned at the sight, "Krad, use Slam again!", Krad glared at the hopping fairy in front of him, before smacking it far away, landing in one of the flower pots. "Hurry Krad! While it's still there, get it with the Leaf Blade variant, quickly!", Lucas said hurriedly, he was really getting annoyed now, and wanted the Clefable to be fainted soon. Krad apparently shared the same feelings as Lucas, and dashed towards the Clefable with frightening speed, he'd used Agility to get there even faster. Then, pulling the sword from his arm, Krad slashed twice, cutting the flower pot into four even pieces, scattering flower petals all over the immediate area.

"You killed my flooooooooowers! Double Slap, Clefable!", Whitney ordered, this time with a hint of seriousness mixed in with the annoying part. Lucas sighed angrily when a pink blur shot out from the remains of the flower pot, smacking Krad several times before stopping. Krad had apparently had enough, and tackled the Clefable with a Quick Attack. The Clefable obviously wasn't expecting this, and as such, lost control on the Minimize, and returned to normal size, while falling into another bunch of flower pots, breaking them all. Whitney was spouting out all types of worried comments about the flowers, before making Clefable use Metronome once more.

Krad's world went dark as he was enveloped in a shadowy energy, while Clefable was enveloped in the same energy. When the energy cleared, both Krad and the Clefable were looking equally tired.

"Oh! That's Painsplit, isn't it!", Lucas cried out, he wasn't expecting a move like that to show up. "Krad, use Agility, then Leaf Blade!", Krad complied, literally running circles around the Clefable, before closing in, and slashing in an upward arc. When the fairy landed, it was obvious that it had barely any energy left to fight.

"Ohh, Clefaaaaaaable use Metronome!", Whitney yelled desperately. Geez, even when she's serious she's annoying. I'm gonna need an awesome headache reliever once I'm through here, I can tell…Lucas thought, grabbing his head for a moment, the annoyance of Whitney had provided Lucas with a genuinely horrible headache.
In the meantime, Clefable had begun waving it's fingers around again, and the end result: a small explosion, probably 3 feet wide, and down went the Clefable, out cold.

"Oh noooooo! Clefable used Self Destruuuuuuuuuct…", Whitney pouted, before sending out another pink pokemon. Scanning the new pokemon with the pokedex, Lucas came to know that it was called Wigglytuff.

"Krad, come back", Lucas said, while trying to decide on his next pokemon, Lavitz or Spade. After many moments of thinking, Lucas made the choice. Lavitz appeared ready to fight. And fight, he did. Without even needing a command from Lucas, Lavitz beelined towards the Wigglytuff, Quick Attack. The Wigglytuff insisted on being just as annoying as her trainer, and merely danced around the fast flying birdie. This immediately angered Lavitz, who was just now getting acquainted with the annoyance that is Whitney. Lucas clutched his head in pain, the annoyance known as Whitney had severely bothered him, and his headache only continued to grow.

"Lavitz…Get the Wigglytuff…with Quick Attack", Lucas ordered between head pains. Lavitz shrieked as he came down upon the pink and white annoyance, who proceeded to dance around the attack again. Lavitz however, was having none of it, and quickly about-faced, and smacked the Wigglytuff several times with both wings, before whipping sand in it's eyes, and flying away, chirping evilly. The surprised Whitney began gabbing away incessantly, while the Wigglytuff ran around in a random fashion, shooting Ice Beam's in various places across the gym. Naturally, one of these was bound to hit Lavitz, and when it did, it struck Lavitz hard, luckily it failed to freeze anything, but Lavitz was left quite cold from the unexpected Ice Beam.

"Urgh, Lavitz, use Twister and finish it quickly!", Lucas said, his headache clearing up temporarily. The freezing Lavitz complied, whipping his wings quickly, producing a bluish wind, although it was obviously weaker then usual because of the numbness in Lavitz's wings, he was unable to flap fast enough, thus creating a weaker attack(YAY FOR EXPLANATIONS) . Nevertheless, the Twister hit the panicked Wiggly tuff , grabbing it, and throwing it several feet away.

"OH NOES! WIGGLYTUUUUUFFF!", Whitney cried out, sensing the end was near for her pokemon. Lavitz could sense Wigglytuff was almost out as well, and whipped up a Twister, which quickly gained momentum and hurled the Wigglytuff through the air once again. This time, it didn't move. Fainted, it was.

"Good job, Wigglytuff…Togetic, you're up!". Whitney said, becoming more serious, much to Lucas's relief. As Whitney's final choice appeared, Lucas gave a mental HELLYES because there was a distinct lack of pink on this pokemon. Recalling Lavitz in a hurry, Lucas threw out his last choice, Spade.

Spade smirked at the smaller pokemon, taunting it. The Togetic had payed no attention to the smirking Donphan, busy hopping in place as it was.
"Spade, use your Rollout!", Lucas barked, the battle was drawing to a close, and he didn't want to spend any more time in the presence of Ms. Pink then was truly necessary.

"Togetic, fly away, then use Metronome!", Whitney called quickly. The Togetic rose into the air ever so slowly, while waving it's tiny little fingers repeatedly. As Spade rolled right under the happy pokemon, Metronome finished, and the move chosen was Thunder. As the Togetic pointed it's arm towards the still-rolling Donphan, a burst of violent electricity shot towards Spade, completely enveloping him in lightning energy. However, being a ground type, Spade emerged from the attack relatively unharmed, smirking once again. Whitney seemed frustrated by the result, and ordered another Metronome. Lucas remained silent, waiting for the attack. Surprisingly, the Togetic began spinning rapidly, and fell to the ground in a Rollout. Lucas smirked and ordered a Rollout.

Spade quickly complied, and began spinning towards the opponent, before completely crushing the Togetic into the ground. The attacks might have the same power, but it won't change the fact that Spade is bigger! Lucas grinned, before ordering a Take Down.

"Togetic, use Wish, then fly away!", Whitney cried out. Togetic waved it's arms once, then a brief glow surrounded it, before disappearing, and Togetic took to the air once again. Spade ran right under it, but Lucas wasn't going to be satisfied with a miss.
'"Not so fast, Spade, grab it with your trunk!", Lucas ordered, taking advantage of Spade's long trunk. Spade shot his trunk into the air, and latched onto the Togetic's feet, and slammed it into the ground, then quickly started a Rollout while still holding onto the opponent. Spade rolled on top of the stunned pokemon several times before he came to a stop, hurling the normal type into the air.

Whitney smiled confidently for some reason, Lucas noted. He stared at her confusedly before realizing the cause of her smile. The Togetic had just landed, but it was looking like it was at nearly full health! What…Oh, it must be Wish! So Wish heals the user after a while, huh? I'll have to remember that…

"Togetic, use Sweet Kiss!", Whitney ordered, once again very non-annoying. Lucas was only too thankful for that. However, he was very ungrateful when the Togetic flew over to Spade, and planted a kiss on his trunk, prompting Spade to wobble like a drunk. Soon, he was reduced to waving his trunk around, making a feeble attempt at hitting the happy pokemon. All attempts failing, Spade began getting quite angry, in his confused state.

Whitney was taking no chances, and ordered yet another Metronome from her pokemon. Lucas could only watch, seeing as any orders he gave out would only be jumbled up thanks to the confusion. The result of the Metronome, was a Belly Drum. Togetic began smacking it's belly repeatedly, acting much like a Mankey. Once the belly smacking ceased, the small pokemon slumped a bit, before lifting it's head, and staring confidently at Spade. It certainly gave off a stronger presence after the Belly Drum, Lucas observed. Hm, a trade of health for strength, eh? Interesting, Lucas grinned soon after, realizing that so far, the only actual attack moves it could use were from Metronome. And if I get lucky, maybe that health trade would end up working in my favor…

Whitney ordered yet another Metronome, and waited. The Togetic soon began flailing at Spade randomly, and after scanning the move with his pokedex, Lucas found the move was Struggle, which was only available when the pokemon couldn't use any of it's other moves, although it also hurt the user, just what Lucas was hoping for. After several successive strikes, the Togetic fell to the ground, fainted.
Whitney sighed, recalled her Togetic, then walked over to Lucas. Lucas grinned and recalled Spade, and waited for Whitney.

"Good battle kiddo! Here ya goooo! The Plain Badge!", she practically yelled to Lucas, who was standing only right in front of her. Lucas accepted the badge without a word, then left after flashing a quick appreciative smile.

The walk back to Bill's house was largely uneventful, and as such, had passed by rather quickly. Once inside, Lucas went straight to his room, and fell fast asleep. His headache had taken it's toll.

(I hope you can tell I don't like Whitney...)

Sahib hadn't really been thinking about anything in particular when he walked out the door, except for the fact that he had no idea what he was going to do next. Sahib was trying his best to think of random stuff to keep Alakazam out and away, so he could only hope that it either worked or Alakazam wasn't bothering to listen. Honestly, he hoped for the latter. Sahib liked his father's Alakazam—really, he did…but sometimes…Sahib shook his head and looked up. Oh, he thought as he noticed that Lili was sitting on a bench just a few feet away. Sahib shifted, unsure of whether to go over. Finally with a shrug, he thought, to hell with it and simply walked right up to her. He sat down. She looked startled when he did.

"Um, hey," she said, smiling at him. It was like a twisted morose smile. Sahib didn't really like that smile on her face. He also knew she felt bad. About precisely what, he couldn't be sure. Though he wasn't positive, he surmised that he could make a fairly accurate guess that it was because of Bill. Sahib frowned, suddenly feeling bad for half disrespecting the man.

"Hi," Sahib muttered back. "You look nice," he said, after a moment's debate on the last word. "Yet you look like you feel like crap." He wondered if that would offend her. I hope not, because at least she doesn't look…he stopped his own thoughts, face tingeing pink. He was just glad his skin was dark so she wouldn't notice.

"That just started so promising," she said, laughing shakily. Sahib's lips twitched into a teeny smile. "Who doesn't feel like crap right now? I hate funerals." She looked sadder by the moment to Sahib. "He just, didn't deserve to die, you know?"

"No one really deserves it," Sahib said vaguely. He looked away from her, and to the street. "It's a part of living, though, you know?" Sahib murmured. "But that doesn't make it hurt less, does it?" Sahib shifted on the bench, wondering what exactly he should do next. Hug her and tell her everything was going to be alright?

"No, it doesn't. But then again, just being miserable won't help us either." Liliana seemed to be struggling with something deep in her thoughts. Sahib stayed silent. "You know what? Let's do something, get our minds off of things. Have some fun." She smiled up at him.

Sahib was almost immediately suspicious as his eyebrow shot up. "And what, pray tell, is your definition of fun?" Sahib questioned, looking at her wearily. He was basically expecting her to come up with another crazy idea. "I'm not up for going shopping again," Sahib joked lightly, flashing a brief smile.

"I don't know, anything other than sitting here sulking! And you have only really laughed once, remember?" Liliana paused, glancing around as if she were contemplating something. Sahib cocked his head to the side, waiting to see what she would come up with. Suddenly she jumped up, causing Sahib to look at her in surprise. "The game corner! Up for some gambling? Plus, this might very well be the last time you'll ever see me in a dress! You have to treasure this moment." Lili then made a quick turn, causing the skirt to flare out. Sahib eyed the flared dress and then looked back up to her face. There was a smirk on his own.

"Well, I guess I will have to treasure it," he murmured, smirking at her. "So gambling it is. Lead the way…you do know the way, right?" Sahib questioned, eyebrow arching once more. She totally doesn't know the way, he thought.

"Ehm…sure!" Nope, she has no clue, he thought as he stood and followed her. She appeared to be sure, but Sahib figured it was all just a ploy. In the end, she basically got them lost. They walked about the twisting streets of the city two times before she finally stopped and asked directions. Finally, they found it. "See!" Lili said excitedly. "I got us here, didn't I?"

Sahib found himself rolling his eyes. "Of course you did," he said, patting her on the head like a puppy. Sahib held the door open for her. "See, I can be somewhat of a gentleman," he commented as she moved past him. I can be more of a gentleman, actually, because that was how I was raised…but oh well, he thought as he followed her inside.

"Yet you can't even compliment a lady," Liliana said as she entered the building with Sahib in tow. It was a rather nice looking area, very well lit as well. It was full of slot machines mostly, but there were a few roulette tables. Sahib trailed after her as she went to the counter to buy some coins. "Where should we go first?" Liliana asked in excitement, eyes shining with it. Sahib smiled slightly.

"You know," he commented as he received his own coins, "you're acting like a little kid in some kind of toy or candy shop." He noted that Liliana's face turned a slight pink. "But beside that, I vote slot machines. My mom taught me this trick when I was a kid that always works so you get the 7s nearly every time." His smile widened into a small grin. "This is how I…earned…my money when we took our trips here."

"Well, just don't get us thrown out for cheating, ok?" Liliana said with a laugh. Sahib followed her again, sitting down next to her once she had picked a machine. He watched as Lili pushed three coins in. She almost had three Pikachu, but then the last one ended on a Poliwag. Sahib's lips twitched. "Dammit! Again!" She didn't appear to be giving up anytime soon.

Sahib snickered, noticing her determined expression. He looked at his screen and then turned in his seat. "Watch and learn," he declared. Sahib grabbed the handle and pulled it down. It was a Moon Stone. He waited a total of fifteen seconds, and then pulled the handle again. There was another stone on the screen. "You see," Sahib murmured, glancing around so as not to be overheard, "you wait the amount of seconds the symbol gives out in coins. And there you go. But I do like to mess up sometimes." The machine stopped on a final Moon Stone, awarding him fifteen coins in total.

"But that's cheating!" Lili hissed at him. Sahib shrugged. "It's no fun that way!" Sahib loved that, despite the fact she said it, Lili decided to try it anyway. The first time she got a Moon Stone herself, seemingly getting the hang of it. She pulled the handle but—too late. A Pikachu landed in front of her. "Dammit again!" she cursed.

Sahib started laughing, he just couldn't help it. Her annoyed face, plus the cursing… "It's only cheating," he said in amusement, "if you can actually do it properly. Here." Lili shot a smart remark back at him, but he just rolled his eyes and ignored it. He got up from his seat and moved behind her. "Now you take the first pull. Then see if you can pull it at the same time I do, on the count. Hopefully you can get it this time." He smirked at her, but she ignored it and just nodded in reply.

"Ok, here goes!" she said, then pulled the handle once. A 7 appeared. How lucky, Sahib thought. He counted under his breath for her. She waited, and then they ended up pulling the handle at the same time.

"See, you've got it," he said, unknowingly whispering it basically right next to her ear. He also didn't notice that he was basically right next to her. "And you're at 26, by the way. Keep going…do it yourself this time. 41." He watched as she said something under her breath and pulled the handle. A last 7 appeared in place. Lili grinned.

"I did it! Did you see that, I did it!" she squealed happily. The machine was practically spilling coins out.

Sahib chuckled. "Yeah, you did it. I bet you couldn't do it again," he said, clearly egging her on and teasing her. It seemed to work, minus the fact that Lili hit him on his arm. Sahib grumbled.

"Stop raining on my parade! Fine then, want to bet? What if I could do it again?"

"Bet on what, exactly?" Sahib questioned, arching his eyebrow. "Money?"

Liliana paused, looking like she was thinking. "No, I don't need any more money. How about this, if I win, you have to be nice to me the rest of the day."

Sahib looked at her cautiously. "Define nice," he said, knowing he was suddenly treading on dangerous ice. "And what happens if I'm not 'nice'?"

"Nice meaning no mean comments, no raining on my parades, and being a gentleman. And you have to be nice, because it's part of the deal." Lili seemed to decide.

Sahib sighed, rolling his eyes. "Alright fine, but if I win, then you have to tell me your worst nightmare." Sahib felt he requested this for a reason, but why, he wasn't exactly sure just yet.

"Fine with me, but you'll never get to know it anyway," she said, clearly bluffing. Sahib couldn't tell this though. Well, their bet didn't last very long. "YES! I win!" Liliana grinned and poked Sahib in the chest. "You have to be nice to me all day now. I am already looking forward to it!" she said happily. She took the six machines that the machine spit out and went to cash them, along with the rest of her winnings.

Sahib sighed as he followed her, feigning a pout. "Fine…guess I lose," he grumbled, jutting out his lower lip. "What exactly do we do now?" he asked curiously while their coins were being cashed.

Both of them walked outside. Sahib glanced around, wondering exactly what was next on their agenda. Suddenly, Lili decided to speak up, pointing to something in the distance. "There!" she said, still pointing. "Let's go to that pond!" Sahib trailed after her, slightly confused. Why are we going to a pond? He wondered. So, Sahib decided to voice that question. Honestly, out of every place she could pick, she picked a pond? Instead of a reply, all Sahib got was a mysterious smile. "You'll see, now come on."

The pond was, in Sahib's opinion, fairly decent in size. There was a big bamboo bridge that crossed it. A park was located in the area around it. The fountain in the middle was spraying water in the middle. There were also a few reeds here and there, as almost all ponds have.

"Look! Do you see that?" Lili said, pointing off somewhere in the water. Sahib's eyebrow rose as he slowly shook his head. What was she looking at? He wondered. All he could see was deep water. Wonder what it could be, Sahib decided to just go closer and investigate for himself. He got close to the water, and was about to say something when there was a big shove from behind him. He had to admit, he wasn't expecting that.

Sahib kicked up from the water, shaking his wet head and glaring at her in a playful way. I thought she was supposed to be the good girl type, Sahib thought in a fairly grumbly way. "That wasn't nice," he commented lightly. She replied something along the lines of not having to be nice, so Sahib decided he'd just have to show her. Sahib momentarily forgot the whole "be nice to Lili" thing, and grabbed her by the foot. This effectively led to her being dragged in with him; something that Sahib thought was worth pulling her in for.

When she came up, Lili was glaring at him. She was also spluttering, something that made Sahib grin widely. "What happened to the being nice arrangement we made?"

Sahib suddenly blinked, putting on a surprised yet innocent looking expression. "My bad, I completely forgot," he said. Sahib then held out his hand to her. "Would you like help getting out of the water?" There was a mischievous grin on his face as he said this.

Liliana looked skeptical for a moment. Then she seemed to shrug that off. "Sure, why not?" she replied, taking Sahib's hand in a careful manner.

Sahib smirked, and before she could react he snapped his hand on hers like a trap. "You know," he muttered, tugging her closer. "I should hurt you for soaking my amazing clothes. I mean, look, my white shirt is like…probably ruined." He smirked, putting on a cool act but inwardly wondering what exactly he should do next. I think I should learn to plan things like this ahead a little better, Sahib mused.

"Stop acting like a girl, Mr. Manly Man, I thought guys weren't supposed to care about that sort of thing. And plus, you're not the one in the dress," Liliana countered. Sahib was more busy thinking of what to do next, but soon noticed that she was basically trying to get away. Was it working? Not really.

"I care when I like the shirt," Sahib explained with a simple shrug. He smirked at Lili's futile attempt to wiggle away. "As for your dress, I'm sort of sorry." There was a giant grin on Sahib's face. "So what did you have in mind for me once you pushed me in here?"

"Sort of sorry?" Liliana seemed to blush lightly, almost as if she had suddenly thought of something. Then she smiled at him. Sahib frowned, and asked her what it was. She grinned in an evil way. "Not on your life," Lili replied. Sahib frowned.

"That's mean," he pointed out. "Although I guess I was mean to you, huh?" Without waiting for much of an answer, he continued, "Why does it seem like you don't always seem focused on my face?"

"Huh?" Lili questioned, "what do you mean?" Her gaze even moved downwards this time. Sahib's lips twitched. "Maybe it's because I have something to hide." She then stared him right in the eyes, a playful smile on her face.

Sahib was about to ask, when he realized something. "Can we get out of the water now?" he questioned, glancing down. "And if so, what exactly do you have to hide?" Lili bit her lip.

"I'm not the one who's holding me trapped," she declared. Then someone cleared their throat.

Sahib snapped his head over in that direction, as some new guy made a slightly awkward hello to Lili. Sahib swore he almost growled and pulled her closer to him, but he didn't. At least he could still partially control himself. He looked at the guy. Annoying f***tard, Sahib thought in a snappy way, without even really caring what the guy looked like. Why did he feel this annoyed? Sahib had no idea, but he just was. Liliana replied a greeting. Sahib asked Lili who the guy was in a rather cold tone. As he did so, he helped her over to the bank and out of the water. Lili looked briefly annoyed.

"Sahib, this is Tristan, a friend of mine. Tristan, this is Sahib, a friend of mine. Anyway, what are you doing here, Tristan?" Lili asked him in a suspicious way. The air around them was so tense. It was tense enough that Sahib doubted that even a knife could cut it. Tristan smiled casually yet arrogantly, which caused Sahib to sneer.

"I hadn't seen you in a couple days," Tristan explained, "I was really getting worried you know."

Sahib ground his teeth and somehow managed to smooth out his expression. He crossed his arms like he almost usually did and stayed standing directly behind Lili. He was basically inspecting the Tristan guy over her shoulder. "So…" Sahib began slowly, in a slightly weird tone. "When did you meet him?"

"A little bit after I met you, actually. Right after the double battle." Tristan grinned over at Sahib. Sahib sneered back.

"Nice dress, Lili, looks good on you," Tristan complimented. Sahib growled very softly. Lili began to smooth out the wet skirt again. She muttered a small thanks in reply.

Sahib wanted to rip his head off. His expression was contorted again, but Sahib smoothed it out. It took a bit more effort this time. Sahib honestly wasn't sure what he should do or say. Now, it just felt awkward. Like he was a third wheel, in a small way. He sighed softly. It was like school only worse.

You shouldn't have gotten close to her, Sahib, Alakazam thought. Sahib frowned. He looked from Tristan to Lili. Now what? He wondered.

"Would you guys stop throwing testosterone around in your stupid little man-off!" Lili cried in frustration.

Sahib blinked, looking surprised at Lili's sudden outburst. "Sorry," Sahib muttered, scratching the back of his head and putting on a fake sheepish smile. He glanced over at Tristan. "I should probably go…I told Jean I'd find him and stuff, so…" Sahib trailed off. In reality, he was using Jean as an excuse to leave.

Tristan leaned in closer to Lili and whispered, "Who's Jean, his boyfriend?" To which Lili elbowed him. Sahib stayed silent, without even feeling a bit of ego-boost when Lili elbowed Tristan. He felt empty. Lili then moved to Sahib and hugged him. He was slightly surprised, but hugged her back anyway. He felt an odd urge to stick his tongue out at Tristan, but didn't.

"Remember what I said," Sahib murmured. "No one's truly evil, huh?" He pulled away, glanced at Tristan, and then left. The feeling of being numb was still throbbing in his gut.

Sahib stuffed his hands in his pockets as he walked along the road, growing more annoyed and sad with every step. He didn't want Lili to be alone with that assface. But he had left. Why? Sahib was still wondering, especially because it bugged the hell out of him now. He glanced up, looking at the slowly setting sun. His stomach clenched. Sahib growled and shivered. He had a chill for some reason. Then, a Pokémon appeared before him. Sahib stared at it. Alakazam, he thought silently. The Pokémon dipped his head in greeting.

Your father sent me to speak with you, as he cannot, Alakazam thought, looking up at Sahib. Sahib smiled slightly, suddenly missing his father. Sahib continued walking down the street, Alakazam next to him. There is another here, Alakazam thought, so you must guard your thoughts vehemently, Sahib.

"What do you mean?" Sahib asked. Even his voice sounded lifeless.

Another Alakazam. Be careful. As for the girl, Alakazam thought. Sahib twitched involuntarily. It will pass. I am sorry, but I know not of what else to say. Alakazam looked up at Sahib. Sahib looked down. Remember, Sahib, you're with Team Rocket now. Your mother can't know. Alakazam was serious, and Sahib wondered why. Instead of asking like he usually would, however, he simply nodded listlessly. Alakazam regarded him. Do not let it consume you. He then vanished away, teleporting (or so Sahib assumed) back to Sahib's father.

Soon he came upon Bill's house. Apparently now it was the Clan of Hope's base. Sahib thought this was dumb. It was obvious and could easily be taken. Not that he would say anything about that, of course. He paused outside, noticing Gage and an Alakazam there. Sahib immediately began to think of counting to 100 in Hindi as his blocking. That would make it so Alakazam wouldn't read his thoughts, though Sahib really doubted the Pokémon would. The Clan of Hope was just so unlike his father's odd Alakazam. Sahib was slightly thankful of that, however. Sahib noted that they appeared to be watching the sunset.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Gage asked, smiling. He was wearing a suit. Sahib blinked dully. "The sunset, I mean…it's beautiful. You live as long as I do and you start to appreciate the smallest of things…" Gage removed his black glasses and tucked them into one of the pockets on his shirt. Sahib stared at him. He looked much wearier now, and there were bags under his eyes. "Take a seat…sit right on down." Sahib did so, setting his chin on one of his knees and staring at the sunset.

"Death can be a scary thing," Gage stated, not making eye contact. Sahib didn't know whether to agree or not. At the moment, he didn't really care if he wasted away into oblivion. I sound even more emo now, Sahib thought, thinking of that time…He snapped his teeth together and started counting again. "I was dead for a little bit…at least, everyone thought I was." Gage chuckled darkly. Sahib didn't ask. "That was back in the old days. Back when Angela and I were the only Clan of Hope members with a Pokedex." He finally looked at Sahib. The sky behind them was slowly turning purple. "It was quite frightening, don't you agree, Spoons?" He was talking to the Alakazam.

Quite. The voice was so much different from Sahib's father's Alakazam. It was warmer, less analyzing. It was less like Sahib's father, in all truth. Sahib suddenly wanted his father to be with him instead of Gage. He wanted his mother to be there as well. He wanted it to end. He wanted to stop hurting. He wanted to go back to New Bark with failure over his head and live with it. Sahib felt his eyes sting, and angrily stopped his wanting. He was too old to cry.

"Darkness is returning, and death along with it. Trust me when I say darkness is quite alluring. Don't let it engulf you, don't succumb to your anger. You play with fire, and you get burned." Sahib idly traced his left fingers across the twisted mark on his stomach from Typhlosion's burn. Gage even revealed his own. He pushed up a sleeve, revealing a terrible burn mark that went all the way down his arm. Sahib looked away.

You, along with the others, are the only ones who are keeping the balance between us and them. There is a fine line, you see. And you…are the one who defines it. Sahib sighed softly as Alakazam thought.

"Well put, Spoons," Gage remarked to his Alakazam. "Keep safe, please." The suddenly a tear trailed down his cheek. Sahib stared at his face, wondering why. Gage then put his black glasses back on and cleared his throat, almost uncomfortably. "Please…excuse me…" he muttered, standing up. Then he walked away towards the gym, his Alakazam trailing after him.

Sahib stood, deciding just to go inside. He went in the room, and saw Grecko and Shaun talking to each other. He walked by, completely unnoticed. Sahib didn't really care at all. He sighed, and was about to keep going when he felt something weird. Shaun seemed to be smiling as if he could see Sahib. Sahib brought out Typhlosion silently. The Pokémon appeared between them, sending them moving backwards as the flames on his back ignited. Grecko looked in shock at Typhlosion. Sahib returned his Pokémon. He shook his head and walked back out of the house, not wanting to deal with it. No one noticed him.

I could disappear, Sahib thought silently as he walked, and no one would notice. Maybe my mom. Dad has Team Rocket. The others bicker with themselves. Lili…well, she has Tristan. A voice snapped him from his thoughts.

"Excuse me, can I have a second?" someone asked from behind him. Sahib turned slowly, seeing another man in a black cloak. He stared at the man without much of an expression on his face. There was darkness basically throwing itself from the man in horrendous waves. "You seem to be lost?" the man made it a question. Sahib didn't care. The man bent down and pulled something from his boot. Sahib's eyes flickered to the dagger.

"Gonna kill me now?" Sahib asked bitterly.

Suddenly two shadows grabbed ahold of Sahib and pulled him down to his back. Sahib didn't move much—he doubted the guy would rape him, so the worst that would happen is that he'd get stabbed. So terrible, Sahib thought, staring at his empty expression in the blade. The guy kneeled down beside Sahib and sliced open his white shirt. Ah…now that's a tragedy, Sahib thought, slightly annoyed about his shirt.

"I've been trapped here for so long…I have forgotten the feeling I get when I kill another person, but when I overheard your conversation with Gage, I just couldn't resist. You see, I have been following all of these damn Clan of Hope members around for a very long time, and soon I shall have my revenge. Sahib blinked, vaguely wondering who he was. The man pressed the life against the burn on Sahib's stomach. Sahib almost shuddered at the touch of the cool tip of the blade. The man then slit his stomach. Sahib closed his eyes, and it was over. The man licked the blood off of the knife. Sahib wondered if he was psychotic. "Oh…that tasted just as delicious as my last kill, although my last kill was more of a reward. Finally ridding myself of that meddlesome Zypher, I thought I would finally rule the world with him out of the way…but boy, did I get careless." He removed his hood.

The man had long, messy black hair. His eyes were pure white and full of darkness. The grin upon his lips made Sahib want to shudder. Somehow, there was a burst of light, and then Wartortle appeared in a flash of light. Wartortle growled at the man. It tried to attack with multiple moves, but none of them worked. Sahib tried to tell Wartortle to stop, but that didn't exactly work. Wartortle finally fell to the ground, completely and utterly defeated. Sahib stared at his Pokémon and then glared angrily at the man, some of his emotions returning to his body.

"It is amazing what darkness can do for you if you embrace it, much like those three of your comrades…too bad I can't give it away. I do say I enjoy being able to watch everything unfold without being noticed," the man stated. Sahib knew it—he didn't know how, but he did. He didn't even have to wonder which one was the most important, because he knew. The man knelt down next to Sahib's head and pushed the point of his dagger against Sahib's neck. "The crazy thing about this realm is that you can't die, but that's the fun," he declared. Sahib had a feeling that would happen. Torture, what joy. Suddenly the man stood up, making Sahib a little surprised. "As much fun as this has been, I have to go do this to the others. You know, put a little scare in them…after all, you can't start to get relaxed with the end of the world coming soon, can you?" Then he began laughing hysterically. With a snap of his fingers, Sahib was lying in the middle of Goldenrod with his gut split open. Sahib picked himself up, vaguely wondering why Alakazam was never around when he needed the Pokémon, and dragged himself to Bill's. Two other "good guys" were there covered in blood as well.

"Beo." It was muttered, but it was true.
