The Jynx Discrimination Chat

Eh, I think the whole Jinx racism thing is just a huge overreaction. If the person did their research on Jinx and found out it was based on this Ganguro thing, nothing would have ever happened.

I agree with everything everyone (especially you Ichidia )has said so far. Wah ti meant in my first post was this was OFFENSIVE to blacks, not that it looks like one.

I not trying to be mean here, but most of these groups are actually consider a race. Mexican, French, Persian are nationalities and Arabic is an ethnicity. Being racist only apply to one race thinking that they are superior to another. Another forms of discrimination are ableism, ageism, elitism, ethnicism, heightism, lookism, sexism, sizeism, etc. Yes the Pokemon are based off all different group of people in real life, but I do not know if any of them were mention to offend anyone.

I think many people think that Jynx is race because Jynx looked like a blackface. I am not saying that Jynx is a blackface though.

I really do not think the Pokemon Company would take time out to research in every single country's history that had a history of racial discrimination going on in it because there are more countries besides the United States that had racial discrimination.

I corrected the French part and I lol'd at the Lopunny bunny part because the cry and It's putting It's hand on It's chest aswell.....

As mentioned above, the earlier Generations had Jynx looked like a racist stereotype of African-Americans. It really is an overreaction. Luckily, Nintendo did change its color before the episode's dub (Mean with Envy.) which, delayed its airing.
 
I saw a list of these somewhere...

Jynx was a black stereotype, Makuhita was a sumo/obese stereotype, ninjask was a ninja stereotype (who the in the heck said that?), and Mr.Mime was a MIME STEREOTYPE. Whoever did that right there needs to get off the crack.
 
Wow. The media is trying to find every and anyway to bash Pokémon...

Personally, I think that Jynx looks more of a manba now, but that's just my opinion.
 
I don't believe that the japanese had any intention to mock black people. In fact, I have never heard of asian people discriminating black people, while it is an undeniable fact ( yet, sad ) that even today, there are several anti-black groups in America. Sugimori probably thought that Jynx would be "funny", but the U.S. censors just decided to make her the new M.Jackson. Anyway, doesn't the Looney Tunes feature a black martian?Looney Tunes is american, isn't it? Why hasn't he become purple yet?
We have to understand that we are all responsible for racism, not just the americans and japanese.

Do fight active racism in the U.S or wherever, don't censor a kids show whithout evodence or even a clue.

That's what I said when I first heard this 'Jynx is Racist' thing.
I did some looking up and some black people have blonde hair but I don't think it's a large percentage.

I have a question:
What's so racist about jynx any how?

I mean, does Jynx show any stereotype attributes?
