"The Kangaskhan Kid" Episode Discussion

Oh yeah, this is the first dub episode in the Safari Zone, I think the banned episode is before this one?

According to WTFPokemon by Youko and Swordhunter, the place visited in this episode is not the Safari Zone. If it were actually the Safari Zone, they would've been allowed to capture the Pokemon. Instead, trying to catch one almost got them arrested.

Also, if anyone has this episode on their computer, you can go to the part near the beginning where the Tangela hops by and mixed in with the sound effect is Satoshi's Japanese voice.

I guess we'll find out whenever Dogasu does his episode comparison. Although, you may be right, due to the whole "being arrested" thing.

Yeah, now that I think about it, it wasn't really justified in regards to the edit. Her reaction in the dub made absolutely no sense. I mean, at least in the Japanese version, she had a very good reason for doing that (I mean, it's not a good thing to ask about someone's, well, mammary glands. Actually, I'm just as equally surprised as Misty was in regards to how Tomo/Tar san seemed to even know of that organ, considering how he has virtually no human contact since he was three years old.).

Though... How would he even know she had them, even IF he knew about the mammary glands of humans? I mean, I thought Misty was confirmed to be utterly "flat-chested" in Beauty and the Beach? (You know, the whole infamous James crossdress scene, as well as just how she looked in that padgent in general)? Then again, considering how the tank top may have been dragging down due to her kneeling down, he may have mistaken the air pockets as a result as mammary glands.

Well, if he was lost at the age of three, the likely assumpton is that he was breastfed, so he'd know what a breast would look like. Assuming he was fed that way, of course. Despite Misty's tomboy ish appearance, she is still feminine, though, you are correct on the flat-chested remark. Unless this was some odd way for the writers to re-assert her feminity. I think that's what they're going for.

The dub version kinda made sense, as "what human wants to be labeled as a Pokemon?" (Like we can call people curs, for the negative example?) I'm not defending it, mind you, but compared to past re-writes of said things, it's not completely out of line.

No, Actually, she is flat chested. One, in the bikini convention that she participated in, her chest was obviously flat. Two, James and Jessie were actually MOCKING Misty for the chest she had in that same convention (I mean, if they said they were much smaller than theirs, that's one thing, but the way Dogasu and others were describing the scene made it seem as though they were actually saying that she doesn't have a chest. Three, that pic doesn't prove anything.

So... ahhh... nice Kangaskhan tank.

Wait, doesn't the Gyarados Sub count as a Mecha?

Is it? With the definition of fan-service being all over the place, mecha should belong right next to it (as some, you have to wonder). Given the overall functions the G sub, yeah, I guess it could be a mecha.

What debacle? It's a fun debate, but, yeah, let's move on.

So, how about that helicopter explosion? Heh.
 
Now that I think about it. This episode made kinda little sense to me. One thing that really got me wondering about this episode was the ending where the parents joined their son in the jungle. I think that what it was suppose to be. Still I think I didn't get that back when I first saw it. It was just super strange to me.

Still I think Charaxes is right. This was the first mecha that Team Rocket used and I liked how it went boom. Teeheehee Still kinda sad how it goes for them later. Su.
