    Here is where you can discuss a Generation III mystery aboard a blimp in "The Kecleon Caper."

    My review to come forthwith.

    (Original airdate was 8/17/02, but I won't be online on Monday. So, posting it early, just in case.)
     
    Another Johto episode, another episode I have never seen. D:
     
    Yup. My threads are so much better.

    EP207. Yeah, those silly Kecleon hiding from Team Rocket was kind of funny. It's funny how the purple Kecleon is called "Reddy" in the dub. You know? Red isn't the same as purple? Yeah, you people know.

    On the plus side, we haven't had a blimp based episode, since what, OI? They seem to be a slightly higher quality of episode. The use of a Generation III Pokemon was pure icing on the cake, I'm sure.

    So you admit it. Shell yeah.

    I think it should've been another Pokémon since Kecleon is used later in Johto during the Silver Conference. A better, more Aagron-esque Pokémon should've been introduced. I still don't see why the violet Kecleon was called "Reddy". It seems stupid. Blimp episodes are usually predictable when they stay on the blimp throughout the episode me thinks.
     
    This episode seemed gimmicky to me the first time I watched it, back in '02. Like, the A Plot was "OMG look, new pokemon that can turn invisible!" and the B Plot was a generic Team Rocket scheme.

    I personally thought it was one of the worst episodes of the Johto series. In fact, I didn't really care for a stretch of episodes around this one, that didn't end until the start of the Olivine/Whirl Islands Arc.

    Also lol @ Reddy. I forgot about that. That was great.

    Now, don't get flippant. Heh.

    I agree, and I never said it was the greatest episode, evah. At least, the blimp setting changed the pace a bit, which is the best you can hope for in the Johto era.
