"The Keystone Pops" Episode Discussion

First thing I can remember was the Ash and Friends stealing Team Rocket's gimmick including the pithole and the motto. Teeheehee That was just great!!! So funny!!!! Lawsuits!!! Teeheeheee.

Well, if they registered copyrights for holedigging and the motto, then there is a case. Although, what are Japan's laws on infringing on copyrights?

I can just imagine, "Lawyer Ball, Go!"

Cool episode! I didn't like Spiritomb as much as in the Japanese version, it had a weird voice. It reminds me a bit of Gastly, what with the echoy voice and everything.

- It looks like Spiritomb winks a lot XD
- Eww...Jessie...
- Loved the imitated motto. Shame they didn't do it all the way through
- The BGM when Pikachu and Spiritomb are battling is cool

Not a quote...but his face was priceless

Jessie: Look! *points in other direction* *runs*
Spiritomb's face: WTF!?! *funny sound effect*

I laughed, it was hilarious

I thought it was cool they mentioned aura again. Is aura going to be of any significance, or will it end up as a plothole? Who knows.

I reckon about the same since it's Shogakukan are the one's who order to take stuff off YouTube

Yay a whole episode without Hitlup.

Haha, I forgot he wasn't actually in it XD Not that I don't like him, but Piplup is in the anime loads

Teeheehee I rewatch the episode and I so notice this during the first time I saw it but I forgot to mention it in my first post.

Did anybody saw Brock and Ash in the flashback? Teeheehee You know all differently drawn and all while running away from Spiritomb? That was funny to see.

(Original post was eaten, so repeating)

Indeed, I forgot about Shopro's aggressive efforts there -- good for them.

"Time to unleash the lawyers!"

*Insert giant blimp dropping black and grey Poke Balls, releasing three-piece-suit men and women and their suitcases.*

Jessie: Look! *points in other direction* *runs*
Spiritomb's face: WTF!?! *funny sound effect*

That had to be my favorite scene for this episode, it really made me laugh also on the twerp motto, I wish it wasn't short for it. Anyway, this episode was a bit cool epic to me on Spiritomb v.s Pikachu scene.

Man that was probably the best episode this season. I was wondering what attack the black circles were, but I guess it was Dark Pulse. The old lady was hillarious. She totally flipped out on them when she found the seal was broken. I loved it when Ash, Brock, and Dawn imitated TR's motto. Jessie's reaction was priceless. And Dawn's response was great: "We don't care about you, we're only worried about Spiritomb." She just absolutely burned Jessie.

Like I already said, this was the best episode of the Battle Dimensions so far. But with what else is going on...well, all I can say is that this may be one of the most exciting dub seasons ever. This was well worth the two week wait (And I'm happy it didn't air until last Saturday: I wasn't home last week).

Unrelated, and according to Bulbapedia (I didn't see the episode, so I wouldn't know beforehand), Dan Green voiced Spiritomb. You may recall Green as Norman, Birch, dubbed Vicious in the 4th movie, Wattson, Mewtwo in "Mewtwo Returns" and many others in the 4Kids dub. Actually, that's kinda cool and nice to see him back.

And I didn't know he voiced that many video game canon characters. Huh.

I'm being nit picky, but how is stacking stones going to keep that Pokemon entombed when they didn't use any kind of mortar to keep the stones in place? :cheeky:

Other than that, it was a good episode.
