The Land of the Mightyena*

OOC: Yee-hey! It's started! ^0^ On a less positive note, however, my parents are dragging me and the rest of my family off to my grandparents' summer cottage next Monday, so...no computer access for me for a couple of days. Sorry for the incovenience.

"Skye..."

The voice was little more than a whisper, but Skye immediately rose up - well, in the dream world, anyway, for her real body was still lying asleep on the cliffs, just a small distance away from the dens.

"So it's time, then?" the Mightyena didn't sound the least bit surprised or disturbed by this sudden intrusion of a foreign voice in her head. In fact, her voice quivered with excitement, and had her sky blue eyes been open they would have seemed to glow by now, her nearly white furr fluttering slightly in the breeze of the white, cloudlike dreamscape around her, "Will I...will I finally get to meet mama?"

The voice chuckled slightly, "Soon, child..." it replied calmly, "Soon...but first, there is something required of you. A task to be fullfilled, a very important task..."

Skye nodded, "I'll do it." she replied simply.

"You accept just like that?" the voice inquired, "Before you even know what is required of you?"

"When I do this...I'll be reunited mama." Skye replied steadily, "I'll do anything to be reunited with mama."

"Brave words, child." the voice remarked calmly, "Certainly fit for a chosen one. Very well, go to the crystal pool and your path shall soon become clear. Follow it, and you shall find your 'mama'...but be..." the voice suddenly weakened, "...be...warned..." it persisted "...what you seek might..."

The voice never got to finish, a loud gale suddenly permanating the dreamscape and sedding tufts of the white ground into flight everywhere, blinding Skye's vision in the dream just before the place dissolved, returning the young Mightyena to cold reality.

"Mama..." she whispered quietly, quickly rising to her feet from the cold ground, "I'll find you, I promise."

Skye quickly began moving, treading towards the slope down at a steady pace. Just then, however, she suddenly heard a familiar voice...a familiar voice crying.

"Snow-nee-chan?"

The little Mightyena quickly scampered over to Snowfang, nuzzling the deputy lightly.

"Snow-nee-chan, is something wrong?"

'What you seek might...what?' she pondered the words from her vision while simultaneously trying to comfort the older female, 'Will it...will it hurt Snow-nee-chan?' she shook her head though, that thought was silly, but maybe the voice had talked to her too? Could...that maybe be the reason why the deputy was looking so down?

"Did you...have a dream too?" Skye added after some consideration, "Is that why you're upset, Snow-nee-chan?"

"Look at her. How dreadful! Can't imagine why she has the cheek to call herself a Mightyena!"

"Stay away from us! Y'big goof! Don't be coming in an messin' up our fun! Y' jinx!"

"How many times I need repeat this, Sonaraku? Have some resposibility why don't you? Last thing we need is a bumbling child."

"Last thing we need is a nobody..."

A young Mightyena stared up into the dark night sky. Her ears flattened as previous conversations ran through her head. The neutral expression on her face slowly turning into that of one who was sad and thoughtful.

She had picked that night to reflect on past events, not being able to get to sleep. Her eyes drifted away from the moon, scanning the area to see sleeping Mightyena. Most of them on the forest floor in the shade of the tall trees. Others choosing to pass their night on the branches.

Sona had been lucky enough to secure a safe spot in a pile of bushes. Scratchy and annoying they were. But, it was either this, or the cold hard ground. The rest of the Apprentices had gotten the good spots under the trees.

It had always been like this, and it would always stay the same. The female didn't mind, not at all. As long as she could be herself, even sleeping in a pile of bushes, she was used to it. It would always be the same.

"I don't like boring things..."Sona thought to herself, raising her head higher so that she could possibly, find a star to wish on. It was an old tale, and no one believed it anymore. Actually, no one believed anything anymore. They just relyed on their jaws and claws... they couldn't even find the strength within themselves to fight without having to resort to violence. She raised a paw, remembering how the hunters of the pack would laugh at her for having such weak and blunt claws.

"Really meh' dear! You can't go a' hunting wif' those lil' pebbles you call claws!"

The Mightyena giggled, secretly agreeing with them in her head, cutting herself off as she found a single star clinging on the blanket of the night.

Everyday she would wake up, wash up, go to look out duty, hunt, eat, sleep.

How disgustingly normal.

Even thinking about these events, they were strong enough to actually make her tired. A yawn escaped the wolf, as she let out a soft growl, staring at the star.
"It's just a teeny tiny wish. I hope's that you could please grant if you could grant. If you can't, it's okay with me, Mister Star. But, please try your best, please. I just want to.. find some place where.... No, just let me find a place... You understand me, don't you Mister Star? You understand, I know you do, I know..."gradually she turned away from the bright star, laying her head into the leaves of the bush as her whole body curled up. Her eyes finally closing, whispering out one last time,

"I just want... a place.."

--

Sona opened an eye, the sunlight nearly blinding her as she let out a yawn, retreating out of the bush to stretch herself, shaking off the sleepiness.

"G' Mornin' everyone! The Sun is shining! Shining! And we. Are. Going. To. Have. A. Fun. Day!!!!"the Mightyena let out an enthusiastic cry, opening her eyes to see whether anyone was going to scold her for waking them up[again].

Instead, she came face to face with a scene, a terrible scene, a scene of blood and wounded companions. Scattered all around the clearing they had slept in.

"Leader! Leader Greyback!!"Sona called out franticly, trying her hardest not to step into the many pools of blood which reddened the previous luscious green grass.

It was a frigtening scene to behold. For one as young as herself, never had she seen this much war and panic in all one place. Had someone attacked the pack while they were sleeping? Wouldn't the sentry duties have realised this?!

"Leader Greybaaaack!!!!!"the Mightyena cried out once more, her voice breaking as she fell onto her legs. She felt so weak and alone, so hopeless and lost. Where was their mighty leader? The warriors? The Deputies? Where?

"Looks like we missed one of them, boz'!"

Sona spun around, bearing her teeth, the scent of this new creature was not of her pack. Actually, she had never smelt anything like this.

It was a tall figure, it's pelt in different colors. It's face was the only part which wasn't pelt, but skin, was a dark, tanned shade, eyes showing such intelligence, and yet foolishness. It stood on two oddly shaped legs, dark brown colored. It's chest however, was light blue, the layer of skin underneath these 'pelts' boring same color of it's face.

Was this.. a human?

Sona had never seen a human before. Only heard of them in stories. They wore artificial pelts to hide their weak, frail skin. They could stand on two legs, and they were destroyers of nature.

The wolf tried to steady her gaze into it's eyes, trying her best to look intimidating. However, letting out a soft whimper as she saw it take out a shiny and sharp object from beneath it's chest pelt.

"You're all bark and no bite, as I can see." the human laughed, swinging the dagger down towards Sona.

Darkness.

"What're we gonna' do wit' 'er? Boz'?"

"Take her to the Crystal Pool, of course! Go! Hurry!"

"Go to the Crystal Pool, young one..."

The last statement was not spoken with the gruffness of the humans.
Instead, it was a calming and soothing voice.

"Go to the Crystal Pool, there is where what you seek, is what you'll find...."

--

"SEEK THE FIND!!!!!!"Sona sat up, fully awakened from the obvious dream she had been having. Her tougue hung out of her mouth, as she surveyed her surrondings. No blood or injuries. Just angry, drowsy fellow-apprentices growling at her.

"You're at again Sona! How're we supposed ta' sleep if you keep on shouting like that! Least you could do is shut up!"one of the young Mightyena complained, grumbling as he turned away to try and get back to sleep.

The others nodded in unison, shooting her deathstares as they too decided to turn away and get back into their sleeping positions for the rest of the night. Sona ignored them, bowing as an apology, though she highly doubted that there was anyone left to apologise to. The wolf stared up into the dark sky, trying to look for her star.

There it was, in the same place she had found and left it. Still shining ever so brightly.

"Go to the Crystal Pool..."the words were like echos in her mind.

With this new found goal, she couldn't possibly get to sleep, could she? She'd leave the first thing tomorrow morning. For now...

"I'm off to see whether I can score a shift in sentry duty!"she called out, receiving agitated growls as a reply. The Mightyena smiled, trying her best not to let them get to her.

"Okays~!"

Snowfang blinked her eyes open, her vision blurry from the tears she shed. She looked up and could see a shadowy figure standing before her, the one who nuzzled her out of her nightmares.

"...Skye?" Slowy, Snow got up, her movement uneven and jerky. Still, she tried not to let it show.

She tilted her head to one side "What are you doing outside this late?" She asked, trying to stop her voice from shaking, as well as her trembling paws.

Silently, Snow cursed her self, soon realising that Skye would most likely ask the same question. Quickly changing the subject, she added "Dream? You had a dream; about what?" Her ears perked forward, intent on listening to what the dream was about. 'Was it the same as mine??' She thought silently.

Once, the vegetation that snapped at his ankles would have gone unnoticed. Once, the treacherous terrain that threatened to fall him would have been dirt beneath his paws. And once, he would have been leading the hunt, not trudging along in it's midst.
Oh, how Greyback hated being old. It clung to him like an unruly pup, rearing it's mischievous head every now and again as if to remind him, yes, one day I am going to conquer you, old dog. He raised his amber eyes to the town ahead, and set his muzzle in a wolfish grin. His old orbs still had a spark to them; they seemed to glimmer with defiance at the sight of the dens. This time, old age wouldn't win.

Greyback was a large beast. Everything about him was grizzled, from his scarred muzzle to the shredded remains of one floppy ear; even his gait, of which he had once been named after, was now marred. He moved with a definite limp; his left hind leg was a mess of matted fur and scar tissue. What looked like an old fang-wound was still visible, the hollow half-hidden beneath his thick, greying coat. And what a coat it was! It was a dappled, ever-changing affair; it was a brownish-gray, tinted with silver and black. Along his back was a distinctive black streak; it faded into the rest of his coat like watercolours. His muzzle was already silvery-grey, but his eyes remained bright. Pace's body may have been failing, but he was still as young as he ever was.

Night was drawing in, and the hunting troupe was home. What lovely magnitude that word held. How much he longed for it...
They halted by the dens, and each member came to dip their muzzles before him; "Leader Greyback," they muttered respectively, and he nodded at each of them.
"Good hunt, boys," he told them all. Only when the last had headed back to their respective dens did he allow himself to relax. He dropped into a lying position, and rested his head on his paws.

Almost immedietly, sleep snatched him away.

Oh, how he dreamed! Stilted figures on two legs strode through his lands, walking amongst flames and blood-stained bracken, their harsh voices echoing through his head. Where were the others? He didn't need to ask him. The dream told him, dead, dead, dead. The figures were chanting it too, and then...
"Go to the Crystal Lake."

Greyback awoke. He got up slowly, seeking his mate. There was no sign of her, and no time to look. He left just as the sun rose.

Venix walked through the very dark wood, staring up in a confused mannor at the trees, her ears hung low. Beneth her paws were many dead and fallen leaves the crunched.

Suddenly, she heard a struggle and snaps of teeth and growling. She slyly approached the noise, and saw.. Herself?! Yes, it was her, fighting underneth a very large brute with many, many scars.

Venix templed, confused. 'Who is he? Why are we fighting? Where the heck am I?!' Venix asked herself.

"Listen!!" The brute commanded, pinning her to the ground. "Be at the Crystal Pool by tommorrow, or so help you, I'll--" He was cut off by a long, low howl. He growled, and jumpped off Venix, running off.
--------------------
Venix fell from the tree branch she was suspended from, falling a ways down into the ground with a thump. She jumpped to her feet and hopped around quickly, looking around to see if she was in any danger.

In a confused mannor, she stared at the ground. "Go to the Crystal Pool tommorrow, or so help you.." The brute had said. With a quick huff, she looked into the night's moon and gave a sigh.

'I suppose I'll go to the Crystal Pool tommorrow. Or so help me..' Venix thought to herself before scurringing up the tree bark again.

No everybody has been accepted but erin now, though your description is a bit short, I know you can rp well ;3

(OCC: If you thought I was good then, then your in for a treat, I'm much better now ^_^)

Atop a tree Shadow, one of the stronger Apprentices, and the oldest Poochyena laid on a well leafed tree branch. He was sound asleep, snoring softly, has he dreamed. An old Mightyena approached him. Shadow smiled and moved closer. "Grandfather." Shadow said addressing the Mightyena. "It's nice to see you ShadowPaw, how is your mother." The Adult wolf said softly and causally. "She's doing fine, I don't see here to often though, I spend most of my time with the younger Mightyena, after all I will be viewed as I was thoughs many mouths ago, a pup that had to had to be protected. How is father?" The small wolf replied. The elderly Mightyena seemed to be impressed with it's grandchild's progress. "He is fine and wish's to see you soon." The Mightyena decide to change the subject.

"Listen Young ShadowPaw, you seems very loyal to the pack, but your mind seems to be full of thoughs out side are forest. Why is this." Shadow was a bit nerves to say what he was about to say, but this was his grandfather, he was very open minded, and even if he didn't agree, could he even tell the pack? "Well…. Why do we have to dived this land into fourths? Why can't we share the land, or at least be welcomed into others, as guest?" The Mightyena smiled at shadow. "Ah young ShadowPaw, just as intelligent as any pack member your age, yet filed with pup like wonder, no matter how old you get, no matter if you decide to change into a Mightyena, please, for me, keep that wonder." As his grandfather finished Shadow felt a bit inselted, but understood this was a complement. "Well forbidden or not, your best bet to meet a Mightyena form another pack is to go to the Crystal Pool, I'm sure there are other Mightyena that feel the same way as you do, you may also get to see your father in the pool. " Shadow smiled nuzzling his grandfather. "Thank yo…"

Shadow was interrupted with Sonaraku yell, Shadow, surprised fell out of his tree. "Ow…. What the…" Shadow turned to Sona. Then walked over to here. "What is it this time Sona, other pack members getting to you again? I've told you if I can be one of the top apprentices in the pack so can you." Shadow could tell it was something else. He then thought, could it be? "Was it a dream?"

Sona halted herself as she heard a voice call out to her. The familiarity of the Poochyena's growl brought a smile to her face, as she turned around to face Shadow.

"No, they aren't, Shadow. No they aren't.."she told him, glad that at least one member of their pack had bothered to talk to her. Despite the fact that he was still a Poochyena and an apprentice, Sona was about thet same size as him. She didn't really mind, though a small spark of jealousy flared in her eyes for just a moment.

"And what's this talk about me being a Top Apprentice?!"the Mightyena let out a sarcastic gasp, holding a paw up to her chest.

"You're good enough, anyways! I say, I'll become a Top Apprentic when I want to! When I want to! Maybe even a Warrior! Heh!!"the wolf giggled, nearly losing her footing in the process.

She actually did when Shadow mentioned about a dream, landing on the ground next to him.

"Ohh!! Yes, yes!! It was a dream! A dream!"the Mightyena didn't bother to pick herself up, staying in the awkward position, nodding her head.

"There were these.. multi-colored peoples!! I think they were humans! I think!"she turned around, so that she could face Shawdowpaw fully, her back to the floor.

"Then, blood everywhere! Everyone was dead, an-and, Leader Greyback wasn't there! It was scary! Scary!"she covered her eyes with her paws, shivering at the thought.

"The humans wanted to bring me to the Crystal Pool! And then, suddenly, another voice told me to go to the Crystal Pool! It was like, like, so soothing! It sounded like my mama... Now that I think of it.. it.."her voice drew into a quiet whisper at the end of the statement, remembering how much she missed her mother. Sona stopped ranting, staying on the ground, staring up at Shawdow. He was the Top Apprentice here, he would've known what to do.

The sun rose across the horizon. The grasslands became a bright green with a hint of orange streaming across by the light of the sun.

A a great fire can be seen in the fields. A roaring fire with gray smoke that blackens the sky. Pounding can be heard and the land shakes of festivity. It is the Field pack dancing for the rising of a new sun. The rthyming pounds beat to the dancers movements. A group of Mightyenas can be circling the fire and twirling about dancing with the howls and the flame.

Suddenly the tribal dance came to a hault. The dancers paused in place as Almor slowly walked towards everyone coming from his burrow. He limped as he walked, dragging his crippled leg.

He came to the center with the fire behind him, he looked around at everyone and spoke,

"I have recieved a vision from the great one. In this vision I have been told that in the year of a new sun there will be bloodshed and death."

The pack grew a silent.

"Do not be freightened for there is hope. Let us dance for today is the begining of a new sun. Let us dance for that hope!" He exclaimed.

The Mightyenas howled loudly and became very excited. The music began once more with a much faster beat and the dancers began to dance wild.

During the wild festival Almor stepped down from the large rock he stood forth on and left the dance. Almor heads to Crystal lake to pray. He will pray for his people, his land and the hope for a brighter future.

OOC: Ack! Got a couple of minutes of online time before I have to go! O_O Okay, quick postie. For the time I'm away, just assume that Skye's being strangely quiet (It's pretty normal for her).

IC:

"I always sleep outside." Skye replied, apparently unfazed by the sudden switch of subject and starting with the first question, "That way I'm closer to mama." she smiled in her usual slightly absent way, she then took a spot of silence to ponder the second question, as if both had been given with ample time to answer in between.

"It was a dream about clouds." she stated at last, "And a voice." the apprentice fell silent again, apparently deeming this to be ample description of her vision.

"Snow-nee-chan, I think we should go to the crystal pool now." she added after a while, "Otherwise the voice might get bored waiting." with that and another extended stare into the other's eyes, the young Mightyena took off again, resuming the journey she had embarked on previously.

OOC: Nyah, sucky post, I know. But I wanted to be sure I had the time to make it before I went. xP Anywho, I'll be back in a few days, so try not to leave me completely in your collective RPing dust, please. ^-^

Greyback was walking. His tail swung from side to side with each step, and his head was down. For some odd reason, his leg was barely bothering him this morning; a twinge, here and there, but that was nothing to the usual bone-deep ache that plagued the old wound.
He strode past his pack mates. Most raised their heads in sleepy acknowledgement, but the rest were still dozing in the early morning light. He didn't know why he was going. He had never believed in all those anciant heebie-geebies; look in the pool, learn your future... to him it was just a load of . He lead his pack on what he could see. What he could hear. What he could smell...
But that wasn't an ordinary dream, he thought to himself. The acrid smell of burning blood was still on his tongue.

As he left the more thickly-woven trees, Greyback could see two young mightyenas talking quietly.
"Sonaraku? Shadowfang?" he asked softly, padding closer, "what are you too vagabonds doing out here?" a smile curled his maw. Probably planning to elope or something similar, he thought.

OOc-

Yeah.. just to say, I thought Shadow was a Poochyena. X3

Ic-

Sona turned at the mention of her name, wanting to tell the creature who had called it out to twist his tougue and say 'Sona'. Immediately, that thought vanished as she hasted to get up from the ground to give a curt bow to the pack's leader. She had always respected him, looked up to him. Well, he was their Leader after all. But, something past those battle scars had earned her utmost loyalty.

"Leader Greyback! We were just talking about you, sir! Sir!"the Mightyena told him, straightening her posture before gesturing to Shadow with one paw.

"I had a dream, Leader! It was, about humans! Humans! And, it told me to go to the Crystal Pool! I don't know what Shadow has in mind here. But, I'd like to go to the pool. If- You'd allow me, that is. That is.."dipping her head to listen what Greyback had to say.

Honestly, she'd feel much safer, and she'd find it 'funner' if someone accompanied her. Be it Grey or Shadow. If it was the both of them, it woud've been even better, wouldn't it?

(Thanks. ^_^)

"I wonder... what happened in the past? Was there a fight? Or is it just a teritorial thing?" She gazed at the water once again. "I hope we didn't start it. The River Pack, starting a war? Crazy. No, I'm crazy. Why am I talking to myself?" She questioned as if she could actually answer herself. She kicked another stick into the water. It was a little, tiny stick, but somehow it seemed to... kick up a wave. They wave blew forwards, then backwards, and hit Luli. Panicking, she tried to run, but she couldn't, it was too strong. When the wave finally kicked back into place, she stuggled to open her eyes. She started to cough up water. Soon she could just manage to squint... but then she closed her eyes again.

As she looked around, millions of questions flooded her head. Where was she? How did she get here? Is that a light? "... Am I dead?" She whined, staring at the light awkwardly.

"Crystal Pool..." A voice moarned.

"What?" Luli questioned, dazed.

"Tomorrow..."

"... I don't get you,"

"Tomorrow, Crystal... Crystal Pool..." With that, the light dashed forward and hit Luli on the forehead.

"WAIT! WHAT WERE YOU TALKING ABOU--" But it was too late, and her 'sleep' had finished. She opened her eyes and leapt up. "I don't know what that was... but I didn't like it..." Sighing, she sat back down. "I guess I should go to this 'Crystal Pool' tomorrow, wether I want to, or not." Still gobsmacked at this, she gazed up to the mountains. "I wonder if they got the same dream, too? Was that just a meaningless dream? I'll find out..." She looked down at her reflection. "... I'll find out... tomorrow."

(OCC: He is but it's an easy mistake and it's Paw, Fang felt to cliché to me. Also that was funny Charon-chan, It would be nice to see some romance, but I still have to do this, *Makes sure I'm in Poochyena form. *Starts gnawing on Charon's leg. XD)

Shadow could tell from her sudden silence, That Sona was sad about her mother.

"Listen, I didn't mean to sound high and mighty with the hole top apprentice thing, I was just saying, even if your small for a Mightyena, your still bigger then me, your claws are bigger than mine, and your teeth are bigger than mine, and yet I still excel. So, it's not your size, it's your spirit, and always use whatever strengths you have, so it evens your flaws. And I had a dream too but it was different then tha…."

Shadow was interrupted by the forest Packs leader Greyback. Shadow too hated to be called be his full name, but he didn't mind to much if it was an adult. "Sir, I to had a dream, different from Sonaraku.." He paused for a second 'She's going to kill me for calling her that….' Shadow quickly got back to the point. "But the message was the same, my I please accompany her to the Crystal Pool, with your permission of course." Shadow said trying to sound formal with the pack leader.

Venix fell from her tree perch, landing softly on the ground. She yawned and shook her head, looking around. Not many others were around her, although they were all still asleep.

Venix ignored the other and sniffed at the morning air. She streched out her front legs, then her back. With a shiver she shook her body off and began padding off into the wood.

'I need to ask Greyback before I go to the Crystal Pool.. Well, first I need to find him..' Venix thought to herself. 'I little warm-up before I go..

Venix began trotting around trees. She slowly started running faster and faster until the trees were but a blurr. She began panting, and stopped herself by jumpping off the bark of a tree.

Once stopped, she walked, trying to locate Greyback, the Leader of her Pack.

When Shadow finally did reply, Sona mearly tilted her head to the side, smiling. "You didn't sound high and mighty to me. And all the point's you've said are very correct. Correct. But... too bad about my claws,"she shrugged her shoulders at the last part, raising one paw off the ground.

"-And the fact that I would never care to be a Top Apprentice."she added, nearly falling over for the second time that morning. Placing her paw back down again, just to steady herself. Last thing she needed was to embarass herself in front of Greyback.

Still, Shawdow had made rather good points, most being those which the female Mightyena had never bothered to think of before. That was one of the reasons why he was a Top Apprentice then, she supposed. Not really interested in letting the matter continue, she immediately jumped in once the male had finished his request to their leader.

"Oh! Yes! Yes! It'd be nice! Just like a fieldtrip of sorts~! Much better than going off alone! Alone!"she growled, seating herself on the ground just to clap her paws together, letting the fact that he had called her by her full name pass.

For now.

{I'm gonna have to take my leave for a bit, sorry guys. A week or so, at the least.}

Is it too late for me? I was invited, but I don't know..

Name: Hana ('flower' in japanese)
Gender: Female
Age: Two in dog years; fourteen in human
Pack: Field Pack.
Position: Apprentitce

Description: A small Mightyena, with a gleaming dark grey coat and bright, green eyes. She has a fluffier than usual coat that always remains silky, even after harsh winds and battles, and an even fluffier, longer (and thicker) than usual tail, as well as paws.

She also has these little black and light gray markings in random spots of her fur, which resemble flower petals.

Hana wears a bell around her neck, tied with a purple ribbon.

Personality: Hana is a very outgoing and humorous Mighteyena, yet most of her jokes seem to be sarcastic. She's a rather lazy, sort of strange-to-be-around type, because you can never tell what's on her mind, and she always seems to be smiling.
Hana also enjoys taking long walks at night, and spying on members of the other packs. Lately she's been partial to the forest pack, as they are the closest and seem to be quite active. She also enjoys running anywhere her paws will take her too.
Though she might appear constantly happy and joyous on the outside, Hana actually at times looks down on herself, and more often than not feels like a burdon. She can often get serious if he sees the need to. She also understands a lot more than she lets off.
Of all things, Hana hates being a member of the field pack.

Rp sample: She was running.

Running again, getting away from it all, from the field. She hated it. They all seemed so proud, so happy to be where they were, it was almost sickening. She was often told that she'd get used to it, that she'll soon she the joys of living in an open field, but she never believed it. It's been years, and she's never found anything to hold onto.
Watching other packs only made it worse, but it was amusing, watching them live, laugh and learn.
She had wanted to be like that. She had longed to be like that.
But she wasn't.

Yes, there were some things that made her smile. Dreaming of a new tomorrow. She could sit there and make up conversations with other made-up Mightyenna.
Lost in her thoughts, in her hopes, the small Mightyena stumbled over her own paws.

She was falling.

Falling again, and failed to get away from it all. Her grunts of pain echoed through the sky, and she collapsed, tired from the run.

She was dreaming.

Dreaming again, of another place, a better place.

----

Still a little choppy, I might edit it soon.

OOC: Sheez, hold your Horseas and give ~GoldenStar~ some time to reply instead of spamming up the thread, will you? ~_~ By the looks of it she hasn't been around for the last four-five days (As my post still hasn't recieved a reply) so there are probably real life issues or somesuch rot to be dealt with. Just delete your two redundant posts and wait. That way we'll see whether this RP is still kicking or not.

OOC: Nn, I'm sorry, I thought I had pressed the edit button. I'm usually not as redundant as you say. So, yeah, it was an accident, and n00b moment. I guess it was my fault, I should've checked to make sure instead of rushing through it. So sorry.

OOC: Ok, first off, yeah Alter I have been having problems with my compy + my friend always wanting me to sleep over now that it's Summer + my other friends whom I need to catch up with

Anyways I won't be on today, but maybe tomorrow or tonight IF I AM LUCKY

Concrete, you should know not to double, or even TRIPLE post in these forums here, but I won't start anything. You are accepted. Lets forget this ever happened.

"Being closer to mama..." Snowfang echoed the words inside her mind, memories of her parents flashing back to her. True, her father was once leader, while her mother deputy, but during a giant storm they had, unfortunately, lost their lives to nature. There bodies were never found, though it was suspected they were long dead. Snow was devastated, though she had long recovered it, and is now the new deputy, chosen by Boulder himself, who was chosen by the ancestors of Crystal Pool to be new leader.

Her feelings mixed as she got up and stretched her back, her claws making scraping sounds against the hard rock that lay beneath their paws.

Snow lifted her head, ears pricked, and gazed toward the horizon, the memories slowly vanishing. Her eyes were soft as she watched the pink light slowly seep up through the lightening night sky. It was almost dawn.

Getting up, Snow flicked her glossy tail on Skye's shoulder. "Come. We must go now. You are right.." She added in, smiling at the "bored waiting" comment.

Turning heel, Snow started slowly trotting off down the ever changing slopes of the mountain pack's territory. Not stopping once, knowing Skye was bound to follow.
