I moved away from them, when suddenly, everything was spinning, and I was on the ground before I knew what was going on. Obviously I had hit my head incredibly hard, and I was too dazed to get back to my feet. the pain throughout my body didn't help either.

"Tiamat, are you all right?" I asked, getting to my feet with some minor difficulty. I quickly moved over, and helped her to her feet, leaning her against me for support. "Do you need to see a doctor?" I asked, genuine concern in my voice. I'd be concerned over anyone who'd gone through what she had. At least, that's what I told myself...

I couldn't say anything, but suddenly, I coughed, sending blood splattering in the general area in front of me. I didn't know what that croc had done to me, but I had a feeling I'd go down thanks to blood loss before anything got to me...

"Tiamat!" I cried, not concerned about getting her blood on me. "Ansem, can you get us to the surface?" I asked immidiately, turning up to look at the zora/gerudo hybrid. "If you can get us that far, I can take her to the setllement where the researchers gather, there's bound to be at least a few doctors in a colony that size." I said hurriedly. Now was not the time for stalling! I didn't think she'd make it there without some help though. I pulled a half-empty bottle from my pouch, and brought it up to Tiamat's lips. Inside was a primary red, thick liquid. "Drink this," I began, holding it close to her. "It won't be enough to heal you completely, and it'll taste worse than a rotten octupus, but at least you won't be going anywhere before we can get you to a doctor."

I managed to take the bottle from him and drink the contents, though I nearly ended up coughing it right back up. I was starting to feel better, but getting to the surface would be pure luck. I'd be able to get him out of the temple probably, but after that, I was unconcous for sure.

OOC: Sorry pogi, but we need to get out of the temple. >_>;;

IC: "Come on, can you walk like this?" I asked, supporting most of her weight on me. If she could just get me out of the temple, I MIGHT be able to make it to the surface. I wasn't sure though, but I had to try. "The setlement isn't far from here, it's just on the coast." I said soothingly to her, beginning to move us towards the exit.

"I can walk just fine, it just hurts like bloody hell to do so since I probably broke a good deal of my ribs." I snapped, managing to move off him so I could move without his assistance. Yes, it was a flaming pain for me to be stubborn like this, but the pain was only visable in my eyes. And I doubted he could read a Zora's eyes that well, I was not about to reveal a weakness....

"If you say so, but when we get to the surface, I'm taking over." I said, not reading her eyes, but I knew what she had gone through, and how much it must hurt. There was an icy hint of steel in my voice, matching my iron resolve. She was going to be relaxed on the trip to the doctor, if I had to knock her out to get her there. I probably could with her weakened like this, but I'd only resort to violence if I absolutely had to...

Once we got to the water, I was suprised to notice a gentle current had started out of seemingly nowhere, leading out of the temple. "you hop into the water first, I can use my fins to catch the current" I said. i wasn't sure how fast it was below the surface, but I doubted it would be very fast unless I caught it right...

I looked at her hesitantly, but obeyed. "If you say so." I said grudgingly, slipping myself down into the water, and turning to face her, waiting. "I'm not leaving until you come with me." I said, not rudely, but just stating fact. I was treading water, showing no signs of going anywhere without a zora with me...

I followed im, and moved over to him, though slowly, since every movement of my arms was more painful then movement in my legs. I snagged his hand, careful not to cut him, and said "you ready? if I faint, get to the surface first." as i prepared to haul us both underwater...

"Right." I lied, with a straight face. "Let's go." I said, ready for whatever came. I had no intention of reaching the surface without her, no matter what it took. I couldn't leave my companions to die in a place like that. I wouldn't... I shook my head soundly as I waited. This was no time for melancholy thoughts. I was going to get her to the surface, and may the godesses have pity on whatever stood in my way.

I pulled him underwater as pain spiked through me, and I felt the current agisnt me, as I spread my fins to catch what little i could feel, and rode it. I could swear I was being dillusional, but it seemed like the current was moving faster aginst me, thoguh every time it felt like I would lose control it slackened. Even with the help from the current, it felt like an hour before we got out, and I was feeling faint. I shoved Rauru up towards the surface, as I fully blacked out, hovering in the water.

I would have said something along the lines of "Oh no you don't!" but what came out was a string of bubbles, as I twisted in the water, and grabbed her hand in mine before the current could push me out of reach. I pulled her closer to me, and began working on swiming upwards, when I found that the current was still carrying us, directly upward! i would have shouted in suprise, but I had already used up my air trying to talk to an unconscious person, and simply continued swimming with the current. I was still almost on the edge of fainting when we broke the surface, and I began gasping, trying to get back my breath. It would be a few moments before I could think about doing anything else.

I was showing no signs of recovery, and my skin had turned slightly grayish, as all the working areas of my body shifted into a desperate hibernation state system. All that was working was everything needed to keep me alive, at a lower pace to conserve the body's quickly dwindeling fuel....

I said nothing once I got my breath back, but held one arm securely around Tiamat's middle, and began swimming relying on my other arm and my legs. I wasn't moving towards where we had left the Imp, but an area not too far from it, where several small houses had been set up on the coast, and one large building was out on a dock that went a little ways out over the water...

I woke up I don't know how much later, in a blindingly white room. I hurt like nothing other, and there were people all over the place, apparently medical experts. I could hear ome people around me muttering about me being in only slightly less then critical condition, but I was having a hard time comprehending...

I awoke with a nudge to my shoulder. I sat bolt upright in the chair next to the bed where Tiamat had been put in, and looked over at the person in the white tunic who had awoken me. She told me that she would recover, eventually, but that I mustn't tire her out, since she was far from recovered. I nodded, and leaned in close as the woman left. "Tiamat, are you all right?" I asked, deciding not to touch her. She may have been wounded, but I still had a nasty feeling that she could still slice me with her fins...

"fiery pain every time I breathe, a lack of energy, hydration, and nutrients, blood loss all together.. I'm fine." I said, my eyes closed again to keep from getting a headache from all the white, and Psycho's voice. I felt like I could faint at any givin moment, and right now, with the pain addng up again, I wanted to faint...

"If you've gotten your sense of sarcasm back, then at least your recovering." I said, smiling, though it was a bit weak as I could only imagine the pain she was going through now. I leaned back in my chair, absently scratching at the small bandage on my head. It seemed that all the repeated blows to the same area had actually done some damage to the skull. Not enough to break it, the doctor had said, but more than enough that I should protect that area of me for a while.
