I held tiamat to me, an ashen look on ym face. "We won't need to, the next destination is the desert. We'll be able to re-supply at the border, we can catch a ferry to get to there, this river goes all the way." I said, pointing at the waterfall ahead of us, still not stopping. I had to get Tiamat out of the domain, and get her some rest, I had to make sure she was safe, that was my highest priority.

"Jeez, you really don't study your maps." I muttered. "Teh river stops at the gates to Hyrule, and it isn't wide enough for a ferry. The furthest we could get is teh foot of Death Mountain, theyn we'd have to go on foot." I said. "Jeez, I'm the one who spent his life all in one place, so why are you the one who doesn't know his geography?" I muttered, crossing my arms.

OOC: Actually, over the years, I was planning to have a few things change, but ahh well.

IC: I said nothing, brushing past him and hopping through the waterfall. The downward force almost pulled me off of the narrow ledge-like walkways that I had hopped to, but my timing and jump was just right, and I got through without a problem, turning around and waiting impatiently for Ansem to follow. Tiamat needed rest, and soon.

ooc: I think we should wait for david. WE're breaking the new rule, and we've made too many posts already. :\

edit: also, the world doesn't change that fast. The last time our earth changed was well before human existenece. So to have it change would have been unrealistic anyway.

I awoke, some time later, to find myself looking at nothing but darkness. Then, the wind blew my hair out of my face, and I could see the sky. "What's... going on?" I muttered. The last thing I remembered was hitting my head on something heavy.

"You were knocked out so you'd be easier to carry." I said, raising my voice to carry over the noise of the waterfall. "We need to get a good distance away from the area, or else they'll get the sense to send more guards after us. Can we please get moving?" I exokained, impatient. We HAD to get Tiamat to a safe place to rest. So help me, I was this close to trying to leave for her health...

"Then let's go already. I've been waiting on you anyway." I shotued up from the river below. " I don't intend on sticking around anymore than you do, though being a Zora myself, therefore having a little more knowledge of Zora physiology, I can assure you she'll be fine. She just needs to sleep for now to let her toxins burn out of her system."

"Fine... lets go..." I muttered as I looked up at Rauru. I found that I was a bit shorter as a girl then I was a guy, and it was very annoying. I brushed my long red hair out of my eyes, and straightened my shirt, which was now very tight, and began to run after Ansem.

I didn't respond, but instead simply leapt into the river, using the current to help push me forward while holding Tiamat's head above the surface. I needed to get her to a safe place, immidiately. I continued swimming, adding my speed to the current, not caring if I left them behind temporarily. It wasn't far until we'd be out of reach of the guards, and the others could catch up if they got left behind.

I was actually a good distance ahead of Rauru. Being a Zora, I was able to swim the river with ease. I backpedaled in front of him, watching him leisurely as I swam ahead of him. I didn't feel like actually exerting myself. If I did, I would be off faster than light and would find myself waiting at the foot of Death Mountain completely bored.

I continued along with the current for a little ways, not really payiong attention to ansem. He was good enough of a swimmer, even by zora standards, that he wouldn't endanger us. After we had gotten a safe distance from the domain, I instantly began swimming for the back, and set Tiamat down on her back gently right at the shoreline, my hand moving to her wrist to check her pulse...

My condition wasn't improving, and my heartbeat was slow. every beat of my heart felt that it was my last. I was showing no sign of recovery. but at the least, I was still breathing, though just enough to live. I was losing the internal fight aginst the toxin, that much was certain...

I felt her weakening pulse, and it took everything I had not to break down then and there. I gently slipped my hands underneath her, my arms tightly around her as I tried not to cry. I silently prayed to the hyrillian goddesses, the gerudo spirits, to the lords of every religion I knew, and then to any power that could hear me, begging that she would live. I asked that they would keep her alive, I promised to pay any price that I might be asked in return, as long as she could live...

I came around, though did not open my eyes. The tides had turned inside my body, and the immediate thing I noticed was that Rauru was holding me. Even so, I could not muster the energy to do anything about it. Actually, to be truly honest with myself, I was kind of enjoying it...

I watched all this at a distance, still reclining in the water. Somehow,I knew she woudl pull through. Wasn't sure how I knew, but I did. It was as if I had some sort of unknown connection with her. Like family would... I woudl ahve to ask her about that later. Right now she still needed to rest.

I continued to hold her gently, ignoring everything else. my world was just me, and her. "Tiamat," I began, barely whispering, not knowing that she was awake. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I barged into your home on the quest for the prophecy, I'm sorry I upset your life, I'm sorry that I had to drag you along with me on this god-forsaken quest... I'm sorry that I wasn't fast enough to keep you out of harm's way... I'm sorry, tiamat." I said, even though I wasn't crying out loud, the tears were obvious in my tone of voice.

"He should be saying that to everyone." I muttered, my hearing good enough to over hear. Thanks to him, I was bannished from my own home. Something I was certain wouldn't have happened if I hadn't met him. Suddenly upset with Rauru, I swam further down river so I wouldn't have to see him, muttering to myself about his nack for ruining lives.

I stayed silent, still exausted from all this, but I managed to bring my hand up, stroking it along his cheek. "it's okay..." I said weakly. I couldn't say anything else, I was just too exausted from fighting the toxin, but I could see how much having me hurt had hurt him.

I was shocked that she was allright. Relieved, and happy, but shocked. What suprised me more, was that she had heard me. I tensed slightly, but judging from the fact that she had brushed my cheek, and not slashed me with her fns suggested that she wasn't going to kill me for my words, at least not yet. I gently set her down on the bank, though I didn't move. Her words and her actions had basically rendered me mentally paralized, I had no idea what to do...

I was pretty stunned to, but one thing was for certain, revenge was needed. Suddenly, without warning, my lips met his, though this was only to be a destraction as I placed my arms around him, one hand working the stick off his back. he would get it back later, but for now...
