The legend of Erick

Thanks! Chapter eight is now finished! Oh, that reminds me, I better go read you're fic

*goes to 'A new journey' thread*

Nice, I like the fact that Erick isn't as good as he thinks he is, he needed a reality check. I don't know why you went to read mine, I'm currently having a writers block. Nothing new except for the updates.

Chapter nine: Espeon's true colours

Erick slumped down on the sofa in the Pokemon centre. He couldn't get over the fact that he had lost. He tried to shrug it off, but couldn't. It wouldn't sink in. This was his first loss. What was he doing wrong? He thought back.
Then it hit him.
"Oh my god" He muttered to himself. He had completely let himself go. He didn't care for his Pokemon, he hadn't even raised them before the new gym challenge. He hadn't treated them with the respect they deserved. What had he done? He let his Pokemon out. Ponyta stood tall, but his flames weren't blazing as brightly as usual. Espeon rolled over on her back.
"I...I'm sorry you two. I don't know what had gotten in to me. I had made you fight without giving you the attention you deserved. I was only focuesed on winning. I hope you accept my apology. But, for now, we better get you healed" He said.
He recalled the Pokemon and gave the Pokeballs to the nurse too heal. Then he went back to the sofa. Suddenly his Poke'dex beeped. He got it and flicked it open.
Video screening of the Janoto championship is now available. View?
Is what was red on the screen. Erick selected 'Yes' and was given a list of mathces. He chose the final round, that was between Rebdar Hinalto and Blarton Hinalto. They were brothers who had split up during there long quest together. Eventually they had both made it to the Janoto championship, also in the Oto islands. A referee told them to begin. Rebdar sent out a Machamp. Blarton sent out a Typhlosion.
Machamp rushed towards Typhlosion, and Typhlosion opened his mouth, and set out a flamethrower on Machamp. The great amount of fire went over Machamp, so all you could see was his sillohoutte. But, when the flamethrower ended, Machamp was shown with burnt arms, but nothing else! He had blocked the attack! Machamp rushed over to Thphlosion and grabbed his sides, and slammed him to the ground, before body slamming him. Thplosion got up, and used a fire kick. He leaped up into the air, and his leg went firey, and he kicked at Machamp, who was knocked to the ground. Machamp got up, and got a Mega Punch ready, but Thyplosion used his flamethrower as a sheild ad Machamp's attack was blocked. Machamp backed off, then ran at Thyplosion with spectacular speed. Thyplosion dodged to the right at the very last minute, and Machamp ran into the arena wall, making him confused. He stumbled off, trying blindly to hit Thyplosion, and ended up knocking himself to the ground. Thyplosion towered over the fallen Machamp, and used a flame wheel. Machamp groaned in pain. But, he shook the pain and confusion off, before trying to body slam Thyplosion again, but failing. Thyplosion then attacked Machamp with an agility. Machamp tried to dodge but he was too slow, and one bash from Thyplosion knocked him unconcious making Thyplosion the winner! Redbar recalled Machamp, knowing he was down one Pokemon, and sent out Sneasel.
The nurse came over to Erick, snapping him out of his trance. The nurse had healed his Pokemon. Erick thanked her.

To be continued...

Cool, nice describtion of the video. Can't wait for the rest!!!

Chpater nine continued...

Erick went outside. He shivered as he glanced at the gym. It gave him the creeps. On the ground he saw an advertisement for Oto island flights. It reminded him of the names of the Oto islands that he had been made to master in school:
Kanoto
Janoto
Lanoto
Monoto
Danoto
Lioto
Chaoto

There were seven islands in all. Each of them were very large, easily as big as the seperate Kanto and Jhoto and Hoenn continents. Six of them had there own leagues, and Chaoto was the place where the champions of the Oto islands go every seven years to have a giant battle. The victor would be decalred champion of the Oto islands, and it made you certified as a Master, even though you were still a master after defeating one of the Oto islands. Erick dreamed of becoming the champion. He would be known worldwide. Suddenly, a shrill familiar voice broke him out of his thoughts.
"Hey loser!"
It was David. He came back holding something.
"Look what I got! A badge! I was just leaving this place! But I see you haven't! How about a battle?"
Erick really wasn't in the mood for another battle. But, he didn't want to look like a wimp in front of him. He reached for Espeon's Pokeball.
"Go Wooper!" David said, throwing a pokeball.
"Go Espeon!" Erick said.
The two Pokemon stared at each other. Espeon glanced at Wooper, before yawning. This wasn't like Espeon.
"Water gun!" David said.
"Wooper!" The wooper said.
Wooper opened his mouth, and closed his eyes. This Wooper seemed weak. After a few seconds of trying, a water gun came out of Wooper's mouth. It headed towards Espeon, who reacted by rolling over.
"Espeon, use physic!" Erick said, remembering that Espeon's physic power could influence other elements. Espeon glowed, and Erick smiled. That wooper was dead.
But, Erick found himself being lifted up into the air. He gave out a gasp of shock. What looked like an evil grin crossed Espeon's face. With the rest of his energy Espeon manipulated the water to go directly onto Erick. David burst out laughing as Erick was dropped down, soaking wet. He decided it was time to recall Espeon, but David commander his wooper again.
"Wooper, use scratch!" David said.
The wooper began to walk over to the Espeon, who had now lay down. Espeon flicked her tail, and Wooper was knocked back. Wooper landed on the ground. At first, Wooper was reluctant to get up, but soon did. Erick got his Pokeball out, but it shot out of his hand and floated just out of Erick's reach. Erick tried to grab it, nonetheless, but ended up falling over. David laughed some more.
"Wooper use water punch!" David said, sniggering.
Water began to spin round Wooper's hand, and he came running over to Espeon. Espeon stood up, and glowed again, making Wooper spin round in mid-air.
"Wooper!" the Pokemon said in distress.
Espeon dropped the wooper to the ground, and the wooper seemed to crawl back to David, away from the Espeon. Erick was scrambling around on the floor, and finally found his Pokeball. He quickly re-called Espeon.
"I give up!" Erick said, panting heavily.
David recalled Wooper and walked off laughing. Erick quickly got out his Pokedex. He looked in the search for Pokemon diseasies.
Symptons? It asked, and David typed in:
'Physic misuses, overpowered'
Two results came up. Erick looked at the first one.
"Pokemon cold. A short period where a physic pokemon has uncontrollable outbursts of physic energy. The pokemon will soon learn how to control it's new physic energy within 24 hours. Usually hapens after evolution. Other syptoms include glowing and fur standing on end'
Erick decided it wasn't that, since Espeon had been fine before. He checked the other result.
'Overpowered. When a physic pokemon becomes to powerful to be controlled by the current badge the trainer owns, it becomes cocky. It will seek to humiliate and be as awkward as possibile to it's trainer. An overpowered physic Pokemon is very dangerous. It is suggested that it be left in it's Pokeball, untill you can give it to a Pokemon cetnre for the time being'
It must be that. Erick slumped down on the ground. He had completely let his training go. His Espeon became overpowered. Oh no. He covered his face with his hands. Maybe he could fix it himself. Maybe if he trained enough then Espeon would trust him again. So, ignoring the advice of the Pokedex, Erick went through the city, to the next route that connected Adarkmor to Alatmor. After around half an hour he came onto the outskirts of the city, and he sheilder his eyes from the light. He hadn't seen light for a while now, since he had been in Adarkmor. He planned to go through this route, battling untill he got to Alatmor. Soon enough a rather terrotorial Abra materalised in a tree a few paces away. Erick got out his Pokedex.
"Abra. A rare Pokemon in Kanoto, though common on other islands. This Pokemon's physic energy is fully unleashed when it evolves" Is what it said. Erick scrolled down, and saw a note on the bottom.
Warning: Abra is soon to evolve
Erick considered his options. He could attack the abra, and maybe make it faint or even catch it. Erick saw he had three Pokeballs. But, if the abra evolved in battle, then he would be in trouble. Kadabra's were powerful. But he may win. Erick took his chances and reached for Ponyta's Pokeball.
"Go Ponyta!" Erick said, throwing his Pokeball.
The Abra looked down at the Ponyta, and dissapeared in a glow if white light. Erick thought he had teleported away, but the Abra soon materalised floating above the ground a few meters away from Ponyta.
"Ponyta, use ember!" Erick said, deciding that he better not wear Ponyta out with a flamethrower on the first round. Ponyta reeled up on two legs, then unleashed three fire embers at the Abra. The flames came from his mouth, then soared towards Abra. Abra dissapeared in a flash of white, before materalising a few meters above Ponyta.
"Ponyta, use galloping kick!" Erick said.
Ponyta backed up a little before kicking out at the floating Abra that was hovering in the air. But the powerful kick didn't land on Abra, as Abra teleported away again, and the attack hit thin air.
Erick got angry with this Abra.
"Ponyta, use fire spin!" Erick said, deciding that Abra couldn't possibly escape from a blast of fire everywhere in the area. Ponyta started to run around the forest area, before unleashing fire everywhere, spinning around in the middle of it. The fire went everywhere, covering the Abra. Erick smiled. The Abra was his. He got a Pokeball, as the fire faded away. When the fire cleared, Abra was on the ground, very weak. Erick threw his Pokeball, but suddenly a white glow engulfed Abra. The Pokeball seemed to be stopped by an invisible barrier, as Abra's shape changed. He grew taller, and ears grew from his head. An object formed in his hand. When the glow was gone, a Kadabra stood where the Abra used to be.
"Kadabra!" The creature said aggressively.
Erick decided to re-call Ponyta, and send out Espeon. Her powers were great, and maybe this Kadabra would give her at least a little challenge.
"Go Espeon!" Erick said, tossing his Pokeball.
Espeon appeared a few meters away from Kadabra. The Kadabra seemed to instinctively put his spoon in front of his face and focus on it. The Espeon glanced at Kadabra, and seemed to dismiss it. She turned away. But, Kadabra saw this oppurtunity, and his spoon glowed. Espeon was suddenly launched through the air and into a tree. The Espeon stumbled backwards, hurt by the attack, before turning around to the Kadabra.
"Espeon, use quick attack!" Erick said, thinking that Espeon's physic powers weren't strong enough to fight a kadabra.
But, Espeon didn't listen, and started to charge up a confusion attack. Espeon glowed a blue colour, before unleashing a blast onto Kadabra. But, Kadabra knew what to do, and absorbed the energy. Kadabra then unleashed an even more powerful blast onto Espeon. Espeon was engulfed in energy, and when it stopped she looked to Erick with those sad eyes. Those eyes that he had saw with Eevee. Erick reached for the Pokeball. Espeon didn't desere this. But, Espeon refused the Pokeball. She wanted to carry on battling.
"Espeon, use body slam!" Erick said.
But, Espeon persisted, and tried to use phyconetic powers. A smile crossed Kadabra's face as he manipulated Espeon. He confused her, so she used her physic energy on herself. Espeon was slammed onto the ground.
"Stop this!" Erick said to Espeon. He couldn't bare to se her get hurt anymore. But, Espeon got up again, even though she was weak. She charged up a physic blast. Kadabra rasied one hand, and Espeon was lifted into the air. Kadabra then lashed his arm forward, and Espeon was threw into a tree. Espeon let out a moan of pain. Erick tried yet again to re-call her, but she wouldn't go back into the Pokeball.
"Please Espeon!" Erick said but she wouldn't.
The kadabra made Espeon rise into the air, before spinning her round and dropping her again. Espeon howled in pain, before trying to use confusion on her opponent. But, Kadabra wouldn't let her and mercilessly started to manipulate there surroundings. He made a hole open in the ground under Espeon. Espeon jumped in the air, where she was caught by the physic grip of Kadabra, who slammed her onto the ground in a physic body slam. This was all too much for Espeon, she fainted. Erick hated that Kadabra. It enjoyed toying with it's enemies. The Kadabra then ran into the forest, seeing there was no more for him to battle. Erick ran over to Espeon, and held her body in his arms. Espeon looked at Erick. Espeon licked Erick's face, before getting up. Somehow, Erick knew this was time. Espeon was leaving. Erick sensed that she was sorry for what she had done. Even though Erick would of loved keeping her, he knew he had to let her go. She could be her own boss now. And maybe, one day he would see her again, along with Totodile. Espeon smiled at Erick, before going into the forest. Ponyta came out of his Pokeball. He warmed up Erick with his fire, reminding Erick that he was good at Pokemon training. But suddenly, Erick heard a familiar growl. Then, like lions closing in on there prey, the Houndour's came at Erick. A sly smile was on all of there faces...

So far very good, I like the description, even if it was kinda short...lol

Better make that a few days, **** writers block. X_X

I know how that feels......

Finally finished chapter nine. I hope you enjoy it! I think the next chapter is going to be one of my best. Houndours, the return of David's sister, (in a way you wouldn't of guessed) and a mystery at Alatmor.

Chapter ten: Marill
Erick backed away slowly, as the circle of Houndours circled him. The Houndours barked at him occasionally, there sharp silvery teeth showing. Erick's heart pounded in his chest. He had never been afraid of leaving home. He had never been afraid of Pokemon. But now it is a completely diffrent story. These Houndour's were dangerous. The Houndour suddenly let out a bark, and all the Houndour's stopped dead on the grass. Erick saw a small opening in the circle of Houndours, and slowly approached it. But, the nearest Houndour opened his mouth, and Erick saw his tounge roll over as out of his throat came an ember attack, that glided out of him directly for Erick! Erick turned to run from the fireball, and instantly the Houndours all leaped at him in one assault. The Houndour's ripped at him with there claws, sending a sharp pain down his back. Erick doubled over in pain, when the Houndour's attacked his exposed neck. They tried to clamp down on his skin, but when they couldn't rip the material of his coat, they resorted to there deadly attacks. Before Erick knew it, fireballs were flying through the air. Erick rolled, ducked, and jumped to avoid the deadly attack. Erick tried to run, but an ember ended up flying by him, narrowly missing. He kept on running, ducking and dodging untill finally the amount of fireballs decreased. Eventually the Houndour's were wore out. Except one. The biggest and toughest Houndour of them all stepped forward. All the others stepped back, letting the Houndour step forward. Erick noticed all of the Houndours were panting heavily, except this one. The Houndour glared angrily at Erick. Erick's heart beat rapidly in his chest, almost to the point where it was hurting. The Houndour bent down, as if preparing to leap at Erick, when suddenly it glowed a white colour. It's body was transformed, and it slowly got larger, and grew horns on it's head. When this transformation was over, there stood a Houndoom. The Houndoom howled into the sky, and the rest of the Houndour glowed as well. Eventually, there stood a circle of Houndooms. What little chance he had of surviving was officialy over. The Houndoom walked closer to Erick, and Erick seemed to be froze to the spot. Sweat dripped off of his forehead, as the Houndoom came closer.
One step closer, he growled at Erick Two steps closer He was so close Three steps closer- he was right next to Erick. Houndoom's hair glowed a light orange, and Houndoom pulled his head back, and prepared for a flamethrower attack. The Houndoom opened his mouth and the flames came out of his mouth. The last thing he remembered was
