Pokemon as we know it has left such an impact on anyone who as ever watched, played, collected or read it. Starting out as a video game in Japan, and growing into the most popular cartoon show on Saturday mornings. I do not even know how to desribe the feeling i have had for pokemon for its 10 years. For me it started out on some school day in 3rd grade. I was probably pretending to be sick that day but for what ever reason i was at home watching tv. It just so happened that at 2 oclock that day a show came on called pokemon. I had never heard of it but the opening theme song was so intreaguing that i just had to watch it. God bless it, it was the very first show of pokemon shown on American Public Tv. After seeing the show for the first time i went absolutely crazy for the show. Everyday i had my father tape the show and as soon as i got home from school, i went straight to the VCR and pressed play and would watch the episode over and over. It didn't end there after word got around about pokemon the toy companies got into it. Shelves boomed with figures, cards, and all sorts of pokemon themed toys. The gameboy games were the best. People that do not like pokemon agree that the Adventure games of pokemon are and still the greatest for the gameboy system but enough of this rambling on.. just excited *first post* but the show as i would like to focus on HAD everything. I employe the word had because it lost a very important part to it... Misty... but the first episodes were so interesting and entertaining for all ages. I miss the old episodes...the ones before max and may... the ones where Ash competed with Gary.. the ones where Ash's mother would tell him to change his underwear everyday... the ones where out of no where Misty would pull out a mallet and hit Ash over the head... and where pikachu and ash had such a bond formed when ash defended pikachu from the spearows in the lightning storm... i miss koffing/weezing and ekans/arbok for team rocket....bring back the old pokedex voice dexter...and the excitement of being able to compete in the pokemon league...where ash proudly carried the torch... i especially miss the times where misty would hint that she liked ash but he was always so reluctent to be so invovled with something else or pretended not to notice... those are the things i miss... i remember when you had to wait an hour on opening night to go see the new pokemon movie.... pokemon had captured everyone heart.. i just want the new pokemon episodes to be like the old ones... where ash, misty and brock are argueing because they are lost in a forest and misty is blaming it on ash while brock gets a camp fire going and creates a stew... why did it all have to change... why...:( bring back the VA's... bring back the pokemon ash just has locked up at professor oaks..*snorlax is the best* and most importantly... bring back the girl every guy fell in love with... and every girl wanted to be... misty....:'( may pokemon live on forever in the hearts of the true fans...

pokemon was great, and now...i rarely watch it, and the new animation style isso...blockly I HATE IT! and the only arguments are between may and max

I totally agree. *nods* Pokemon should last forever and I TOTALLY miss Misty SO much! I don't watch the show that much because they got rid of her... *sobs* I MISS THE OLD POKEMON!

I miss it too, those were the good days when the pokemon episodes were ORIGINAL. Now its just the same recycled crud over and over again, but despite that, I still watch it. I'm hoping scince that Ash and co. are back in Kamto, they will visit some of the old haunts from the shows glory days. Though this has'nt happened yet...>_<;

Yup.. me too. I miss the older episodes, without May and Max. Not that I disliked them, but I really prefered Misty over May.

Oh oh!! And I absolutely missed the parts when Misty would pull Brock on the ear whenever he gets flirtatious!! I missed it so very much!

Yes, the series can't go back to the Kanto days but the series has improved from Johto and you sorta have to see it as a constantly moving series but I can appreciate looking back on the halcyon days as well. I do at times, at least as far as Team Rocket is concerned.

Ah... I too miss Arbok and Weezing... And the Kanto days were amazing... May and Max are pretty cool (I'm actually thinking of writing a fan-fic of when Max is older and a Pokemon trainer... Look for it soon), but I liked Misty a whole lot more...

However, the new episodes don't upset me very much either. I like a lot of the Hoenn Pokemon, so seeing them in animation is always kinda cool. I do miss Gary being a trainer though... I wanted to see a real six v six match between him and Ash, but alas...

1. Pikachu.. duh

2. Charizard..very powerful

3. Snorlax..Can always count on a hyper beam

4. Muk... Has a great defense

5. Bulbusaur...very determined

6. Toss up.. Squirtle..lots of energy..and Kingler.. More power to add

I was re-watching the episode in the Silver Conference where Ash battles Gary.. and I just realised that Ash didn't choose Pikachu.. Pikachu was together with Misty and Brock, cheering for Ash.. I was really surprised that Ash didn't choose Pikachu to battle Gary.. :P

Ah yes, the good ol'days of pokemon. I brings back soooo much happy memories =). I love the fact that it was like a phonmonanon, with the movies and all that plus the free cards (Its that you u spell it 0_o?) SUper awsome. This is funny, I remember during pokemon 2000 in the cinima, at the very very end of the movie, that guy (Can't remeber name) picked up the ancient mew card and looked at it, and as he did that, the whole cinima got their mew cards and held them in the air, and people were like saying cool, and stuff. LMAO

I remeber this girl brought a ( charizard card to school, and everyone was crowding around her...XD)

I gonna buy the season 1 and two 2 box sets =D! Pokemon was in its prime back then, too bad it went repetitive and downhilliy from johto and beyond, though advance seems alright/ok ish.

Can't wiat for the 'new anime series of pokemon diamond and peal', heard its seperate from ash and co series. Coolies. Hope its fresh and new YAYNESS!

Ah yes...I remember that well....
Thats one of the reason I'm so fond of Pokemon Contest episodes... because they were a break from repeatative plot lines....something new, and amusing...

As Gary....I'm sorta dissapointed that he isn't in the show anymore... Now its Drew, who seems to have a simular personality...
Even though he's May's rival, not Ash's...

Actually, he does have a rival, Morrison, the one with the Metang. Ash trounced him in the Hoenn league but lost to Tyson in the next round, he has the snooty meowth with the hat. (I guess Tyson is Ash's rival too.)

I haven't watched the show in a while, but I'm trying to download it...ack, such a pain.

I still have all my old fanfics from when I was in 2nd-3rd grade. They were so sweet...memoriesss. I might even bring them back from the dead (or just my closet) eventually, because I'm attached to the characters that I brought in and okay I'm rambling.

I loved the old series is what I'm trying to say, I'm sure that I'll love advanced when I watch it but now that I'm hearing what everyone is saying...I might not even download it.
