Not fan club related but I need help. I'm trying to fix my "box" in my signature to match my new banner. I don't want just a solid color...should I make it vertical or horizontal stripes? (I don't know how to do diagonal and make it look right.
 
I can't help you there S.... i don't even know how to do that Box thingy.

I'm just the neglegent Co-owner.... well not neglegent... I just take on to many projects at a time and get swamed really nasty.

Update: Mizujin thought about Mosquetts personality a bit, then went off to go fish and realized more about himself while staring into his reflection...yeah...he hasn't caught anything yet though.

'Sup guys?

I've been working on some side projects. I want to get a Zelda fansite up, but I need content first. XD So, I've been translating Zelda enemy names from Japanese to fix errors made by Nintendo of America and to give names to enemies that had no official American names (like in Adventure of Link or in Phantom Hourglass). I have a few left to fill in Phantom Hourglass then I'm going to give a finally comb over of Twilight Princess and just double check some of the older games.

But, I've moved onto other stuff in the mean time. Below the backstory from the original NES Legend of Zelda. This was already translated in the past by ZeldaFans Johan and Zethar II, and I based mine heavily off of theirs since...well...I don't actually know Japanese. XDD My version should sound a bit more like a fairy tale, which is the feeling I think the two original games were trying to convey.

Once upon a time, when the world was still in an age of turmoil…

In a little kingdom located in the Hyrule countryside, generations had spoken of the Triforce - golden triangles possessing mysterious powers.

One day, Ganon, the Dark Lord who planned to rule the world with darkness and fear, led a small portion of his evil army to attack the kingdom and seized the Triforce of Power.

Zelda, the princess of the little kingdom, had feared Ganon's wicked rule. In order to protect the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda split it into eight shards and hid them throughout the land. She also commanded her trusted nursing mother, Impa, to escape in secret and search for a person with the courage to defeat Ganon.

Upon hearing this, Ganon grew furious, captured the princess, and sent his minions to pursue Impa.

Impa fled desperately - running through forests and over mountains. Finally, her strength exhausted, she found herself surrounded by Ganon's minions. She was cornered… but, at that time something happened.

A young boy appeared and skilfully misled the minions. Impa was saved.

His name was Link. He happened upon Impa's plight during his travels. Impa told him the whole story.

Burning with a sense of justice, Link was determined to rescue the princess. But to do this, and oppose the holder of the Triforce of Power, Ganon, the fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom had to be gathered. If not, a raid on Death Mountain, where Ganon resided, would fail.

So, yeah. Very similar to Johan and Zethat II's translation. A few words and at some points entire sentences are different. I tried to keep the language relatively simple to keep the fairy tale feel (even if that meant using an explanation instead of the actual word. Like "a small portion of his evil army" instead of "evil army corps"). This should be more accurate and less embellished than either of Nintendo of America's translations (the original and the GBA remake. Collector's Edition too I guess). Someone should be working on translating the Japanese GBA LoZ manual soon.

D'aww. I felt a little wave of cuteness spread over me for some reason. XD I loved the "Little kingdom" part. It was cute too. *shot*

It did feel like a fairy tale. I liked reading it.

About the RP: Why do you guys seem to aggravated Leader-sama and JBC? (This is MY opinion okay? Don't yell at me XD) Like, every post you guys seemed a little annoyed. Did we do something or not read something? I'm really confused. x_x;
 
I felt the same as Dara, "little kingdom" of Hyrule... If I hear that I don't think of a kingdom as Hyrule, but a small, cute one. xD
It's very nice, though. =D And with your knowledge of the Zelda world, I'm sure you can make one of the best fansites ever. Are you sure you don't have the Triforce of Wisdom?

About the RP, I think that JBCBlank, does not quite like it that we are still in Dark's place. ^^"
We do read all your posts, though, we still do. In one of my posts, Dark actually spoke to the soldier you sent, but Dark didn't feel like running away in that weather. I guess no one of their quarter would leave their few possessions like that. They'd lock themselves up, locking every single window and door to prevent intruders. The quartier where Dark lives (the poorer one), has many abandoned, empty houses (like in what once used to be a shopping street where the we passed through).
The citizens of that part of Hyrule town know that one would rather hide in that maze than enter an occupied house.

Well Saba's Zorian and my Mosquett (ninja), can not reenter the city. So it's eather you guys come outside... or I will start making Mosquett lead... Mij..... whatever... (I need to like write that name somewhere I can always see it), anyway lead the Zorian and start the actual adventure without you guys. Either that or I'll send a swarm of Elite guards to force you out of the house. it's your choice.

Sorry for my inactivity. My cat was dying and I wanted to spend a lot of time with her. She died yesterday morning and she was only a year and a half. (And she wasn't just some old cat, she would've been absolutely perfect if it wasn't for her sickness.)

RP: Uh, yeah, this RP is falling apart pretty much. We need to be together to progress with the story and I don't really see much going on inside Dark's house to be honest.
 
That's why you should've listened to me when I said everyone needed to be together. D:

I guess I'll make Dara leave the house and go outside, only to get mobbed and forced out of the city.
 
Uhuh ^^" sorry for that. You don't have to shout, JBc, you really don't. Sounds like a plan to me, Dara. :3 The boys will be overconcerned about you, yes, yes, that's like an awesome plan. ^_^
 
I'm on strike from the RP till we meet. Then I come back with 3 fish. xD But seriously I don't know what to do until we meet. So someone PM me when we meet.
 
Weeell, everyone but Leader and JBC's chara is together. (Except for mine, but I believe Dark and pals will come to her aid.)

I'm sorry my post had to be so.. cliche. I tried really hard. I know Lo-chan will make Rael come to save her, and Mudkipblader will too. I don't know what Alex and Prism will choose to do, since they haven't posted lately.

Dark and Alex are on their way, a little behind, but they are coming. =D i wonder when Prism is going to post again... =o I liked that little Korok.
 
I did not realize that i was shouting... I thought I was only speaking strongly. Trust me guys, when i shout, you will know. I'm a kind person, and I just want us to get together. *sighs* I'm gonna check the Rp now... will add update once I post, in the mean time, i was not shouting at you.

Mosquett has gotten Dara.... and he is now clean... skin and hair... but his clothes still looks aweful.

I'm sorry for Rael leaving Dark and Alex behind! D: He is just that kind of a person XD; I hope you aren't mad? And Prism needs to post again D: I seriously thought he was Link! Lawl.

There's a new game coming out? In 08? Do you mean August or 2008? Because both things are becoming very close. I mean 2008 is already on half. XD
