Still in pain Velenga remove herself from the tree and took a friget at Rey.*Now he's gonna get it for making me feel stupid*Then she notice how really strange he was acting. She slient as shadows crept by him and whispered"what do you see or hear?".

"I'm not sure," he responded, his voice quiet. "It seems foreign, yet . . . " The mage paused, his eyes narrowing with thought. ". . . familiar," he finally finished. Lightly fingering his black-gemmed earring, he murmured a few indistinguishable words. My sense of distrust is growing. But, even as my wariness grows, so grows my need to continue forward.

As Rey continued to approach the source of interest, there became audible an odd sound--not unlike a rolling growl, yet more blurred and almost having a melody.

"Familiar?".Velenga looked over brain damage.*Ohh hooo you did yourself now...tsk this kid is stuck in the trees. What's worse is you followed him with equals to getting lost uh huh great work*.But though different...more positive as she look at him."What ever you do i hope you don't walk into serious danger".And climbed a tree to see if there was a trial anywhere.

As the sound steadily grew louder, Rey's pace began to slow. Before long, a slightly more open area amidst the trees could seen. Lying beneath a shaft of golden sun, partially hidden amongst grass and fallen leaves, there lay glistening a black object. Darker than coal and smoother than a still lake, the gem sat innocently still surrounded by the emerald glory of the afternoon forest.

Despite its appearance, however, it would not seem unexpected for the jewel to be the source of the sound. Rather, the sound and gem had an aura so alike, one might think there to be no other possibility than for the jewel to be the source.

Standing with one hand against a tree, Rey fell silent as he observed the object with a quiet intentness--his cat-like pupils narrowing slightly in the sunlight.

On top off the forest tree Velenga search around."Meh, birds air a shiny light....WOW!".
And she immiediately jumped off the tree and ran towards it."Mine! mine! mine I claim!".
But stoped as she saw Rey their."Does it belong to you?".She spoke out of selfishness and boredom.

[OOC: Alright . . . ]

Seeming distracted, Rey gave his head a slight shake. "The gem is not mine . . . " A strange expression entered his bright amber eyes as he continued to gaze intently at the object. Glancing toward Velenga, an odd smile passed over Rey's features. "Are you sure you want it, though? That is, it being what it is?"

Occ:[Sorry that your going :( .]
"Cause it's A black gem?".Velenga closed her eyes."I belive that any strange Human, animal and different thing...are more than they appear...a great wonderful gift from earth...and that makes us all special".And smiled at Rey."It would be best if you held it and search something deep inside of you".Velenga used telephathic and eachoed that in his head and mind. Then she grinned."Such a pretty gem would only slightly back up my gorgeus beauty".As she arrogantly threw her hair back.

Rey sighed, averting his gaze. "You really don't know what that gem is, do you?" His eyes shifted back toward Velenga, though his face remained angled away from her. "Well, do you?"

Not waiting for an answer, he removed his earring and raised it for the female mage to view. "If I am correct, it is made of the same substance as this earring. It is a Night Stone." Rey paused as the golden flames of his eyes gained intensity. "Do you know what Night Stones are made of?"

Fearing the sound of his voice Velenga though in her head*why is he beening so cross-road?*A soft growl in her voice as she told him"No!".

[OOC: Er, I am not fully aware of what activites the others are participating in. But, the characters belonging to maya miyazono and myself are having a conversation about a gem.]

After a brief pause, the mage began to explain, "There are a number of gems known as the War Stones. This particular War Stone--the Night Stone--is composed of the blood of void mages." Rey's golden cat eyes glinted eerily as he again indicated the black jewel embedded in his earring. "This Night Stone . . . " The mage snapped off the pieces of armor attaching the halves of his arm guards. The armor fell to the ground, revealing a strange sight. Between Rey's wrist and elbow there was nothing. He had no forearm.

". . . The stone in this earring is composed of my own flesh and blood." Turning to view the dark object lying on the forest floor, he said quietly, "But, I have never seen a Night Stone of that size. If the gem in my earring--as small as an ant, if not smaller--required the whole of my forearm, a gem of that size would easily require the entirty of an inestimable amount of mages."

Reattaching the small ring to his ear in an oddly casual--if not slightly mischievous--manner, Rey innocently stated, "You may have the Night Stone if you wish."

*This boy is foolish!*."I bet that gem only reflect on other people".She took a glance at him then the stone."So what ectcally happens to me if i wear this gem that would slightly cover my looks?".*He is more interisting then iam....and more foolish*.

"The Night Stone is made to amplify its user's power--particularly that of the *Void element, though it amplifies other energies as well." Picking up the parts of his arm guard from a patch of grass they had fallen into, Rey added, "I cannot garuntee that use of the Night Stone does not have a price, however . . . "

He carelessly brushed dust from the armor's surface, saying, "But, seeing that your objective is to use the gem as an accessory to enhance your appearance . . . " There was an audible "click" as the arm guard was again snapped into place. ". . . then, you need not know the consequences," the Void mage finished. Leaning his back noncholantly against a tree, he waited to see what Velenga's next action would be.

[OOC: *- To clarify, while the Night Stone may amplify Void energy, it cannot give it. Thus, its enhancing abilities in the area of Void energy are only useful to those who already have the ability to use Void power.]

She raised her brow at him."So hearty are we?".She stared at him."I don't really care if the gem inchantes my looks".She removed her hair witch was in her face."You seem to know about it more than i do...why don't you take it?".She putted her finger on it."If you choose not then i rather destroy it!".

"Take an object formed of the blood of my own people?" Rey questioned coldly. "I find the object a repulsive disgrace to that which was once life."

His fiery golden eyes shifting toward the Night Stone, he commented, "If you wish to destroy it, by all means, try. But, it is no easy task. War Stones are valued for their great power and are not to be destroyed by any simple means." Rey's eyes snapped toward the female mage as he challenged, "If you believe you can destroy the Night Stone, then I will allow you one chance. Afterward . . . " A forced calm came over the mage's demeanor. ". . . Well, we shall see how your attempt fares first--if you so choose to make that attempt."

She was shocked by all he said."I didn't know that this was such a big issue".She hung her head down."I am be not able to destroy it...but we can go after the person who created them Gems!".And stood up staring at him."You can come if you wish".and walked towards a path.

After casting a glance toward Velenga, Rey slowly approach the Night Stone. Kneeling beside it, he carefully removed a cloth from his pocket--lifting and wrapping the gem within it. Then, setting the stone before him, he murmured a number of words as he formed his hands into various signs. *Suddenly, the object vanished. "Your sacrifices will be remembered," the mage whispered.

Raising himself into a stand, Rey's amber gaze drifted briefly back toward the area the Night Stone had once been. Then, turning, he approached Velenga. "I'm not sure who would have the power to create a Night Stone and be foolish enough to leave it behind. A hidden motive would be my first guess as to second issue. But, as for the first question . . . " Rey's cat-like gaze drifted about as though searching for the answer.

". . . Whoever it is, there is no way to tell how near or far they are or what direction they might be in. But, for the sake of being discreet, I would rather not take the path." He shrugged slightly, stepping back into a thicket. "You may travel as you wish," he added as he vanished among the bushes.

[OOC: *-Rey did not, in actuality, destroy the Night Stone.]

*What?*She yelled in her head."Comon!".She yelled searching for him."It would be something to do then rather staying here being sad about".She replied."Don't you wish to stop who ever is doing this?!".She yelled so he might her him. Then she bit her lip.*
I don't blame you for not going...*and searched for him.

"My not being on the path does not indicate that I'm not searching . . . I am simply searching in the manner I find would be most effective," Rey's voice stated, the sounds seeming to echo about the female mage.

"Oh, and don't accuse me of grieving." Rey suddenly stood several paces behind Velenga, his arms folded casually. "I dislike this crime, but I've seen terrible deeds before. I have more sense than to lie and weep until the tragedy kills me." Having spoken what he felt necessary, the Void mage turned and again vanished among the surrounding foliage.
