    While browsing through Event Items in HeartGold/SoulSilver on Bulbapedia, I found this peculiar item that I thought all of you might want to see.

    Apparently, the use of it is currently unknown, even in Japan.

    Weird, huh? How even after 7 months since it's release date, this item hasn't been officially released yet.

    But in HeartGold/SoulSilver, all of the events have already been used and even hackers cannot find another event for it. So that means maybe the Lock Capsule may not activate in HeartGold/SoulSilver.

    Also, the Lock Capsule seems to seems smiliar to the Manaphy egg ingame data wise, and can be transferred another game.

    Another game? Maybe, Black and White?

    Perhaps, it contains an egg of a Zorua or another Pokemon. Or maybe it'll unlock another event in Black and White?

    But why put it in HeartGold and SoulSilver than if it'll only work in Black and White?

    Maybe it has something to do with the Celebi from the new movie. Maybe when used with the Event Celebi in Black and White?

    At this point I think it's safe to assume that yes, it has something to do with B&W (to the point where I thought this was in the B&W subforum for a second :S ). Personally I think it'll be like Oak's Letter or the Azure Flute, but the devs themselves probably don't even know yet.
     
    a hidden item that does nothing in HG/SS kinda strange :/
     
    UPDATE! The data for it in Hg/Ss states:

    " A sturdy Capsule that can only be opened with a special key. "

    So you need a key in another game. Wonder how you get the key.
     
    It could be a beta item. It would be interesting if it was conected to Black & White.
     
    Humm. It's probably a Nintendo Event item connected to B/W. Or perhaps just for a legendary Pokemon ... I'm thinking Jirachi because didn't someone need a key to open a capsule in a Pokemon movie to get Jirachi or something ... maybe I'm mistaken ...
     
    Nope, I'm sure it's for BW.
    There'll be an event for it in Japaan this summer (I think) and it will unlock an evemt legendary on BW with a special key you find/obtain from someone.
    This also show further compatibility with HGSSDPPt ! AWESOME ! ;)
    This is my opinion and I have no idea if it's gonna be real or not.
     
    Hard to said - it may just be an over-looked event item
     
    Hm, could have something to do with BW, or it might have something to do with a Celebi Event. You never know.
     
    It's probably a Rock Capsule, rather than a Lock Capsule. I can't think of any reason to encapsulate a lock.

    If memory serves, they found it doesn't do anything at all in HGSS. So I'm thinking it has something to do with BW, or it's just beta like Red up thar said. But probably BW.
