I meant to add in my first post that I'll be posting various songs and poetry that I've written, and I'd like a critique or something to that effect. Enjoy. Or you know...don't enjoy. Your pick.

    The Long Road

    Verse I
It's a hard life with your head in the clouds
To see the beauty in the world and hear the magical sounds
But it's a life I wouldn't change, to dream of sunshine, battles, and saving the day
Dreaming is a beautiful, beautiful thing, and I wouldn't have it any other way

    Pre-Chorus
You have to reach for the stars to find yourself among them
Shining brighter than the rest is a challenge all on its own
To be able to live your dreams means you have to take the long road home

    Chorus
Climb the nearest mountain and give it your best damn shot
Keep your head up in the clouds and remember to dream as if it's all you've got
You don't have to go solo, I'll help you carry the load
We dreamers have to stick together on this lonesome, long road

    Verse II
There's nothing wrong with a good imagination
Don't let the grounded bring down your creations
You have to stick to it, you can't give up or stop walking
There's no real shortcut to the top, there's no substitute for art, so just keep on rocking

    Pre-Chorus

    Chorus

    Bridge
We walk this road together as a group of friends
I suppose the only thing to do now is keep going to the end
We have to keep walking until we find the pot of metaphorical gold
At the end of this perilous, long road

    Chorus x2
