I think their was a reason for them not talking together during that special notice. I think that if they really started to talk with each other, they'd talk about Ash more than anyone else and this would probably start some sort of rivalry between them over Ash. No. I'm not kidding about this because I've seen this too many times in Anime's and I doubt it will be spared on this one.
