The most overrated Pokemon

Well pikachu does have 12 years of experience behind it doesn't it? The most overrated pokemon would be lucario. It seems everyone wants it. Although i do like Lucario.
 
I haven't watched the newer episodes of Pokemon, but I'm guessing the reason Rukario is so popular is because of it's eight movie appearence, and maybe the fact that people though it was legendary at one point and it turned out it wasnt(?).

Ash's Pikachu is definitely overrated. And, even though I haven't watched any episodes recently, by the looks of some of the episode titles and random screenshots of the new episodes I viewed, Dawn's Piplup seems a little overrated as well. :/
 
While I don't watch the anime anymore, I don't see how Ash's Pikachu is overated, it's as big a character in the series as Ash is, it wouldn't be Pokemon without him.

out a few per season, but not just one total. Of course,
there is piakchu, but that's his main companion. It's not really
fair to point fingers at the yellow mouse because that's the
last pokemon you saw on TV -_-'

Lucario has only had like four anime appearances. I don't know
why everyone's spazzing on it.

The most overrated pokemon i've ever seen was Garchomp.
It only had one anime appearance I believe, with Cynthia.
Torterra did an attack barrage on that creature, yet nothing
fazed it. They treated Garchomp like the ultimate pokemon.

because all that power the anime people put in is so fake. try it on the game and it doesn't work. besides, ash refuses to evolve it. trash.​

yeah, my worst pokemon and the most overrated is pikachu of any kind, especially ash's pikachu though. evolve it!! raichu is better. ​

also, gyarados. my manectric can take down a gyarados anyday. it has a 4x electric weakness and people see it as 'godly'... how?

Pikachu and Meowth cuz the whole series they're in every episode
 
Look, this isn't about cameo background pokemon. This is about pokemn that play major roles, but make multiple appearance and are owned by too many trainers.

I though Lucario was a rare pokemon. And since when does a fully evolved pokemon like Staraptor make many appearances in less than three seasons(and not just Ash's)? We don't see Pidgeot this much.

And Pikachu is only overrated because he's the central pokemon of the whole franchise.
 
(Now that I think about it, this belongs on the General forum, but enough of you add the anime component, so I can't complain. Hee.)

I don't care for the Babies (or Pre-Evos) in the anime. Yes, they're cute and cuddly, but otherwise, totally useless unless you have a bunch of them (looking at you, Pichu). I don't like the concept, anyway (let's ruin a good Basic or a 1st Evo line by creating a totally useless pre-form), but the anime really shoves the cuteness down our throats.

If I want something with less saccharine, I'll go watch "Care Bears."
 
Piplup. Hands down. As well as TR'S Wobbuffet.
 
The most overrated is without a doubt ash's pikachu.
And the most underrated are arbok and weezing.
 
We all know Pikachu is overated, especially Ash's. Most underrated Pokémon? Sunflora? That's what i'm talking 'bout.

But I digress once again. I still don't see why Lucario or Riolu are so popular with people.

I disagree with people about Pikachu being over-rated. It's just that because of its mascot status that people hate. Pikachu also stopped being "Uberchu" a while ago. I can't even remember Pikachu being uber during Diamond and Pearl. It usually loses these days anyway.

That is true, but a lot of people, including myself don't watch DP (Mostly because of everyones hatred of Dawn) so can't see that Pikachu is no longer Uberchu.
 
No. I didn't say everyone, but from what I've read on various forums. Those who don't watch DP, tend to judge on by previous series. Such as Pikachu being emmense in the earlier series. I think you've mis-read on what I'm trying to say. I probably didn't make it clear, as usual.
