1st Gen The Mysterious Grass

lol you can't handle the truth of the mystery grass.
 
It's just a boarder, nothings really suppose to be there.
 
Unless the programmer's programmed encounters/items into an area, there won't be anything in that area, even if it's a place where you'd normally find Pokemon/Items.
 
If you surfed outside the barriers in Olivine City I'm sure you'd find the same thing. The game would crash, because it's just empty space, nothing programmed into it.
 
i went into the grass outside pallet town before with a game shark. i found a wild Giovanni O.O and then my game froze =/
 
What level was he? I would tear up the Elite 4 with a wild Giovanni.
 
... I see. I'd guessed it'd be a plain of grass with no Pokemon in it that leads to the edge of the map, but didn't think the game'd crash if the player was to walk in it.

rofl at that and the vid. I remeber when I was putting cheats in for red like get a dragonite in the grass and once misty showed up as the pokemon and the mistys sprite wouldnt leave lol. I caught it and my game froze.
 
A hole leading to the middle of the earth...Or maybe,Red couldn't comprehend that there were no Pokemon there,so he blew up..Or fainted/died. Other trainers suffered that fate,and that is why it was removed,as we see 3 years in the future.

Heh,joking. It's probably just plain grass,a border.
..What makes Pokemon not go their,that's the real mystery.

Yeah, you can't catch the actual trainer but you can catch their glitched up counter part.

It's annoying if the game freezes but I'm definitely giong to try it.
Did it destroy your game or something?
 
omfg, you don't know how many times as a child I wondered what was in the "mysterious grass" =))

Until, I just used a gameshark code so I could walk through walls... and it just crashed.

Curiosity kills the cat ~
 
Really? I was always under the impression that there was a wild mew hiding in there.

It was just one of the many mew conspiracies, such as finding mew under that truck in back of the SS Anne.

But thanks for clearing that up xD
 
Yeah, there's just nothing there at all, which is why the game crashes </3
 
my fiend tried with Gameshark and it warped him to this blaks space wihch he could not fly, dig out of and it daved the game as soon as he entered so he started again after all the lv100s he trained
