hmm, i'll help you out a bit. here are some basic methods:

Extracting characters: Copy the image, paste it onto a transparent document. Select the area around the character and press "control x".

Gradients: It's the same as Photoshop.

Any questions?
 
Cool. This sprite looks SO GOOD! I almost dont want to give it a black aura. Hmm, I'll save it as is then aura it.

My day:

~Hair has been cut embarrasingly short
~Was supposed to have both a theatre rehearsal and a tutor session, both were cancelled, so I sat in the library and read until six when my dad picked me up.
~ Got beaten up in gym as usual(Grr... wrestling)
~ Nearly had my cell phone stolen
~ I wake up at six thirty every morning just to be ten minutes late.
