I sighed, glad that Eclipse had left. Now I could begin where the Charzard had left off ... right outside National Park. I rushed out the east exit, knowing that it wouldn't be locked.

"Houndoom, I need you to use ember on that tree. Small though, we need time to run." Houndoom nodded his head, a let out a single ember, that began to eat at the tree's bark. "Let's get out of here," I said calmly. Houndoom nodded, and we both started running towards a water source.

Golduck suacked in alarm, and considering I hadn't flown very far, I could see the flames... Golduck paused for a moment, then used Waterfall on the flames. I watched the proceedings, my Blaziken's pokeball at the ready..

I stopped running and turned to look at water covering the tree tops.

"Oh that is so not fair!" I whined while stomping my foot on the packet dirt. "That was supposted to work. Stupid Pokemon!" I threw Raichu's Poke ball onto the ground, and my orange, mouse Pokemon appered.

"Rai Rai," she chanted happily, not knowing what was going on, but eager to help out.

"Thunderbolt the Golduck over there!" I shouted, not knowing whose it was, and not really caring either. All I knew was that the wet territory was playing out to be at my atvantage. Raichu nodded, and realesed powerful sparks from her cheeks. The Thunderbolt traveled over the water, gathering more power along the way, and I couldn't wait to see it collide into the Pokemon that had ruined my plans.

Golduck quickly jumped back on my Flygon, that took the shot, and ignored it, thanks to the ground type. I returned golduck to it's poeball, hopped off Flygon, and had it use Earthquake on the Raichu.

Thinking quickly, I commanded Blastiose to come out. Raichu quickly hopped on the massive turtle's back, and waited for the earth to stop shaking before she got back down. Although Blastiose had been hurt a little, it was nothing compared to the damage Raichu would have recieved.

"Ok Raichu, try another Thunderbolt on Golduck. And Blastiose, use an Ice Beam on Flygon."

Both Pokemon listened, sending off a beam of ice crystals, and next to that, bolt of thunder.

Since Golduck had been retreated, I didn't have naythign to worry about, but Flygon was hit extremly hard. it paused for a moment, then used Sunny day, and Solarbeam.

OOC: Whoops, didn't read that part of the post or something...

Seeing as how only one Pokemon was out on the other end, I decided to call back Raichu.

"Blastoise, use protect!" I shouted. Blastiose seemed bored with the attack, but formed the sparkling white cover anyways.

"Try to block it with another Ice Beam," I said. I had seen it happen that two Pokemon's attacks would collide, and it was really something. I watched, and waited to see what would happen.

Flygon used Protect, as the combination of ice beam and Solar Beam casued a explosion that thankfully only went through the battle field, not into the park...

"Blastiose, use Withdrawl, but come out as soon as you stop feeling stuff hit your shell, that way Flygon won't be able to attack you when your most vurnible!" I shouted while covereing my head with my arms, afraid that something might hit me. Blastiose slipped into his shell, and prevented most, but not all, damage from affecting him.

"Blastiose, use Rapid Spin before he can get too much life out of you!" I shouted to my Pokemon, and watched as he spun around, flinging Flygon from his back.

Flygon landed hard on her side, and i heard something crack "Flygon!" I called worridly, running over. I checked over her body, and noticed that her wing was broken...

I stood there, not really sure what to say. Blastiouse got up lazially now that he wasn't batteling, and brushed some dust off his body. I stood there, waiting, not really sure if there was anything else I could do.

I could tell Flygon was in serious pain... there was no way that I, as a trainer, could ask her to battle. I got some matireals out of my backpack, and carefully applyed a splint to her wing. She wimpered slightly from the pain of me moving the wing, but did not cry out or struggle.

I returned Blastiose to his Poke Ball, deciding to leave the partners alone. I decided that was what I would have liked if I were in the same situation, to be alone to care for my Pokemon, which reminded me that I needed to get back to my own Pidgeot. I didn't say anything to Eclipse, just nodded my head, and ran off to go see how my own winged Pokemon was doing.

*Back at Ashley's Base*

"Finally you came back. I though you might not be comming back at the rate you were going," Katie said. "I fixed up you Pidgeot's wing, and it was just fine, nothing major, only a few burns every here and there," she continued.

I sighed in relief. "Thank you so much. I can't even tell you how big a help that is."

"Hey," she said happily, "What are best friends for?"
