    Here is the challenge i thouhgt up and im doing it now.
    Its called the no family challenge. Here are the rules

    1. You may only use pokemon that have no evoltion or pre evolutions
    2.You may use only 1 legendary but yu must catch it in the wild or get it at an event at a low level, like the mew
    3.You may not use ANY legendaries bar ones that you can get under level 10.
    4.if your playing yellow, then you can use proygon as pory 2 hasnt been made yet. but if you use ruby, you cant use wobbafett because he got wynaut
    5.update regully and have fun!

    so, you mean you could use lapras, because it has no pre-evolution or evolutions.

    what would you do with your starter???

    also, that means you wouldn't be able to catch any pokemon until halfway through the game
     
    I might try this on HeartGold, I've got a question first though.
    Does that 'you must catch a legendary in the wild if you plan on using one' rule mean that we're allowed to trade eggs/cheat in for non-legendaries? If so, sign me up.
     
    There are a few clarifications that need to be made:

    1. Are Phione and Manaphy allowed, considering that events are allowed under rule 2 and neither of them evolves into the other?

    2. Why are Rayquaza and the Sinnoh dragons (and every 5th gen legendary) allowed but the legendary birds banned? I understand Rayquaza considering it's at such a high level in RSE, but the Sinnoh dragons can be obtained at level 1 in HGSS.

    3. Are Rotom's alternate forms allowed?

    4. Is Regigigas banned under rule 3?

    5. What's with your spelling?
     
    You can only use legendaries you get under level 10 like mew,manaphy,phione.

    You can cheat or trade your starter at the beggining and get a legal pokemon and you can trade eggs but no more hacking pokemon after the starter

    im gonna do it on crystal which should be fun!

    also different forms are allowed

    Just wondering, why is it that hacking team members in is seen as worse than trading eggs, which may contain egg moves to remove the 'challenge' from the challenge? Is it simply the fact that it's 'cheating'?

    Erm, I might pass then. By the way, you do know anyone who wants to do this on Pearl/Diamond who can't trade has a grand total of 6 non-legendary 'mons to choose from, right (most of which are unavailable until Solaceon at the earliest)?

    You can cheat or trade your starter at the beggining and get a legal pokemon and you can trade eggs but no more hacking pokemon after the starter

    So, sorta. You can hack in one pokemon only.
