Bored of playing easily through you game over and over again?
Well why not make it harder and more challenging.
In a nutshell you have to complete the game without any of the Pokemon on your team having any STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus or moves that are the same type as your Pokemon) moves. So no 1.5x extra power.
This challenge makes you think about Pokemon like Butterfree in Gen I when it had no STAB moves.

No STAB Challenge Rules

• Put all posts that have anything to do with the fifth generations plot in spoilers.
• No hacking Pokemon. (Missingno glitch included)
• No trading unless it is for evolution that requires it. Egg trading is okay or just hatched Pokemon for Pokemon with Egg Moves.
• Pokemon must not have any damaging moves that are the same type as itself.
• If you catch a Pokemon with a STAB move delete it as soon as possible and do not use it in battle.
• If you can't trade your Pokemon for evolution for whatever reason you may cheat for that Pokemon to evolve. (This is the only valid reason for cheating)
• You may use an emulator, just don't cheat.
• Your challenge is finished once you beat the Pokemon League in all games except Pokemon G/S/C and HG/SS where you have to beat Red.
• You can always sign up and have fun.
• No using legendary Pokemon as they have an unfair advantage.

Also Pokemon that change types like Castform are the type of there normal form in this case Normal and Hidden Power any Pokemon can use regardless of type. Struggle can be used on Normal Types as it's uncontrollable and it's more like an un-typed move anyway.
If you want an additional rule to make things harder then, no using any moves that are the same type as the Pokemon, damaging or not (Optional).

What I've done:

Spoiler:

I started my challenge on Pokemon Sapphire. I went through the start of the game and caught a Zigzagoon. I then kept going through the game meeting Wally and going through Petalburg Woods. I then continued on past Rustburo City and I caught a Whismur. I then trained up a bit and challenged Roxanne. I beat her... just. I then saved Peeko and then got my Pokenav. I am currently on Dewford Island.

At Dewford Town I delivered Steven's Letter. Whismur later evolved and I then beat Brawly at the gym. I then went to Slateport City and Zigzagoon evolved. I then continued north and trained a bit and beat May and Wally. I then beat the Wattson. I am in Mauville City and about to head further north.

What do we do if we have a normal type and we lose PP and have to use struggle?

You just resort to using Struggle as you can't do anything about it and because it functions more like a typeless move anyway. Also .Kaiser were you considering taking the challenge?

I headed north past the Fiery Path and continued on to Fallabour Town. I then kept going to Meteor Falls where I saw Team Aqua. I then went back down to Mt. Chimney and defeated Team Aqua. I then went down Jagged Pass to Lavaridge TOwn and defeated Flannery. I then went to the desert and caught a Trapinch. I then went back to Petalburg City and beat Norman. Loudred later evolved. I am in Mauville City about to go east.

I went east and then North to the Weather Institute. I defeated Team Aqua and received a Castform and beat May. Trapinch then evolved. I then continued on and caught an Absol. I then defeated Winona. I kept on going to Mt. Pyre and defeated Team Aqua there. I then went to Lilycove City where I defeated May for the last time. I then defeated Team Aqua. I then went to Mosdeep City and then caught a Staryu. I then beat Tate and Liza. Staryu then evolved and I am currently in Mosdeep City.

I went underwater to Team Aqua's Lair where I defeated them for the last time. I then went to Sootopolis City where I caught Kyorge and got my last badge. I then went through Victory Road and then trained my Pokemon and Vibrava evolved. I then challenged the Pokemon League and won. I've now finished my No STAB Challenge.

Ok, I'll start a challenge on Blue.

First Update: I started the game with Charmander and did the begining things.
I then caught a Caterpie in Viridian Forest and evolved it into Metapod and then into Butterfree.
I then beat my Rival.
After advancing through Viridian Forest I reached Pewter City and beat Brock.
Charmander then evolved.
I went through Mt. Moon and reached Cerulean City.
I beat my Rival and helped Bill. I then beat Misty and headed south and caught a Meowth.
I am now in Vermillion City!
The Team:
Meowth Lv19, Charmeleon Lv24 and Butterfree Lv25.

I then went to and through Dark Cave to Lavender Town.
I got to Celedon City and got a Dratini from the Game Corner.
I beat the Fighting Dojo.
I also defeated Team Rocket.
Charmeleon and Meowth evolved.
I then beat Erika. I am currently in Celedon City.

Went to Cinnabar Island and found the Key.
Beat Blaine.
I am currently on Cinnabar Island.
