    I've seen way to many threads about the GTS not working, people cannot clone their pokemon,etc, so I've decided to open my own where everyone can discuss about the GTS in one simple thread.

    Discuss away!

    anyways, people say that the cloning trick is out but it still is there. They are not just doing it right at all. I've tried 2 days ago and I cloned a perfect shiny Eevee

    I haven't cloned since. I personally think they had a trick done to it, not that it was taken out. I just think it goes faster.
     
    They say the closer you are to the router/whatever you're using the faster it's gonna go. The GTS has been working fine for me, I just traded my Totodile for an Ursaring since I can't get one of them anyways, I'm gonna breed it soon.

    I have been up to one bar in the signal thing and it still goes before 8 spins or as before I turn my DS off. Anyways, I've cloned alot of my Pokemon, I have alot of extras.
     
    I think it might also have to do with how fast the signal you're getting is, I remember it takes a while for me to get a Pokemon up on the GTS because I'm stealing internet from my neighbors >.> their fault for not coding their router, but I don't honestly mind. XD

    My GTS goes pretty fast even with one bar of signal.
     
    The cloning trick thing says that it takes 9 full trips around the miny clock for the saving to be complete and I counted its only 7 1/2 sometimes even 5 for my game and I only get a 1 bar signal
     
    I hate wifi so god damn much

    I get a 2 bar signal now on the other side of my house and my game decides to cancel out BOTH signals I get. So now no matter if its a 3 bars signal or 1 bar signal my DS will decide that it doesnt want it to work
     
    gts always seems to work better in the morning for me... dunno why maybe japan is asleep =D (no offence)
     
    The reason as to why the GTS goes "fast" is because it doesn't require as much bandwidth when you compare it to, say, something like Mario Kart DS which requires the game to request the co-ordenates of other players all the time in order for the race to actually work properly.
