3rd Gen the old mans house on ruby

maybe we could answer your question if you would stop double posting, spell correctly, and we totally understand your frustration even without the !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!

It would also help to tell us where this Old Man's house is.

And why are you posting a question about Ruby in the GSCRBY sub-forum? ._.

Comon guys, quit yelling!

Geez. I can assume that becuase this is in the Ruby/Saphire/Emerald section, latias699 is talking about the Old Man that lives on Mossdeep Island. Roughly in the middle of the island, this guy normally blocks an entrance to a room that's in the back of the house.

That is, unless you got your hands on another Game Boy Advanced or Game Boy Player, a multi-link, and an E-Reader! See, this old man claims to have seen many battles and wishes to see more. Well, there have been three sets of cards released for the E-Reader not too long after the release of Ruby and Saphire.

They're called Trainer e-Cards. If you didn't throw everything else from the game's box, you'd see a Trainer e-Card too. They're basically cards that will add other trainers not normally seen in the game. The cards themselves would tell you who you're scanning in as well as a limited discription on the three Pok?mon that trainer would be holding. (otherwise, that'd be cheating!) Once you scan one in, that old man will move out of the way, and there starts your battle, very similar to the Battle Tower. (in fact, some cards carry trainers that are seen in the Battle Tower if you pay careful attention) Also, Battle Tower rules apply. All Pok?mon have to be of different numbers (i.e. no two of the same ones) and different items for each one. Oh yeah, and no legendaries.

It's nothing special, although it does add some more things to do after you beat the game. There's also a berry card that's included in the pack, so you can get a new berry that's only possible to get with these cards.

Yes, I own all three packs of cards, so I know what I'm talking about.

Oh yeah. This ONLY applies to Ruby and Saphire only. NOT EMERALD! Reasons could be that the cards stopped selling a long time ago and the fact that not many people bought the ridiculously expensive e-Reader...

^ correction the cards haven't died out they are sellin in all the shops where i live and Emerald will have cards soon becuase then what is the point of the e-reader function in Emerald

Well, the Japanese FR/LG/E had e-cards, which is why the function is still in the game.

However, it has been announced that there will be no more e-cards after the ones released for R/S. The non-Japanese versions of FR/LG/E are not compatible with the e-reader at all.
