"I...I did it!" Sam said, watching his pokeball click. He had just caught his first pokemon. Wow. This felt great. He could feel that Scorp was happy too. They had caught their first new partner. "Go! Nido!" Sam said, throwing out his new pokemon. "Nido!" it cried, coming out of the ball. "Okay. Nice to meet you! I'm Sam, this is Scorp. We're your friends, so, yeah. Welcome to the team!" Sam said, greeting Nido. He knew how it could be to be in a new place with new people. Nido was feeling particularly nervous. Sam realized he had only caught this pokemon to see what was so different about it. He quickly discovered finding out why, though, wasn't going to be easy. He knew, though, that he could do it...eventually. At that time, it was about noon and Sam knew he had to get moving if he wanted to make it to the next town before sunset. He returned his pokemon, saying they needed a rest, and ran quickly.

He hadn't been running long when he met a trainer. "Yo! You! I wanna battle! What's your name?" he asked. "If you must know, I'm Sam. Who're you?" Sam asked. "The name's Jack. Now let's go! Abra!" Jack said. "Let's go! Nido!" Sam said. His Nido and his opponent's abra appeared into the arena. "Use Hidden Power" Jack commanded. His abra suddenly had balls around it. The next second, those balls flew off. Direct hit on his Nido's horn. Nido quickly shook this off, however. Sam guessed that it wasn't all that effective of an attack. "Use Peck!" Sam commanded, remembering Nido's only attack. Nido charged and hit the abra head on. Abra went flying, and Sam guessed that it had very poor defenses. "Gr...use Hidden Power again!" Jack said. This time, however, Nido was ready. He jumped straight over it! "Aerial peck!" Sam commanded. His Nido came straight down, hitting Abra quite hard. Sam knew it wasn't gonna get back up. "No! Abra!" Jack said, returning his pokemon. "Wow...it was good. It had powerful attacks. Just not against poison types..." Sam said. "Yeah...Go! Cyndaquil!" Jack said, throwing out his second pokemon. A blue and white mouse like pokemon appeared.

"Hm...return!" Sam said, then, he tossed out his second pokeball,"Go! Scorp!" Skorupi came out of its pokeball. "Hm...a Skorupi? Whatever! Use Ember!" Jack said. Cyndaquil's mouth spouted flames. Skorupi just barly dodged the move with a jump. Jack was probably expecting another falling attack, because he quickly commanded cyndaquil to move. "Heh. You're expecting something I won't do. Use Poison Sting!" Sam commanded. Skorupi shot several poisonous needles at Cyndaquil. Cyndaquil was quickly pinned.

"Use Ember!" Jack commanded. Cyndaquil shot flames as Skorupi fell. They all hit. Skorupi took big damage from this. "Scorp! Hang in there! Use bite!" Sam said. Skorupi charged. Cyndaquil, being pinned, had no escape. Scorp hit hard. Cyndaquil was definatly out, because he had no escape. But no. He was ready. It's flame on it's tail was now on fire. This wasn't good. "USE EMBER!" Jack commanded. Cyndaquil shot out some hugly powerful flames. Scorp, however ducked under them all. "Once more! Poison Sting!" Sam commanded. The spikes dug right into Cyndaquil's stomach this time. It fell. "Shoot. I lose. Great battle, Sam. Here. Take this!" Jack said, handing Sam a weird rock. "What's with it? It looks almost like it had a bug in it. It's so red...wow!" Sam said. "You can have it. I don't need it. See you again, soon!" Jack said, leaving down a different path. Sam slowly left down the other path. After several more hours of walking, Sam saw a sign. It said, "Town right ahead." Sam knew that was the right path, and thus, went down it. He could see the town, and thus, ran straight to it, wondering if there would be adventure there, too.

Sasuneuchiha Your post was better :). Skorupi grew to level 8, Nidoran grew to level 6. Sam obtained the Old Amber. (He PMed me saying that was what he found)

I will allow everyone to receive exactly ONE fossil of thier choice free from post grading, but you can not receive a fossil that someone else has obtained until all the fossils have been taken. This will go by first come, first serve and thier are NO RESERVATIONS on fossils. You must post finding the fossil some how to claim it.

Here's the Team Topaz and Team Amethyst Chapter 2. You can tell which chapter is which by reading what's after the chapter title. Now get to posting :). Also Symphony your special chapter two post is not up yet, and tim0789 just post the chapter 2 posts for Team Amethyst, but mention going SOUTH to SERAPHIC PARK.

Chapter 2: Route 14, Team Topaz

Description: Stepping past the city limits is the Forever Forest. Here the ghost pokemon have full manipulation of the forest. The pokemon here are able to trap people without ghost pokemon to wander around aimlessly for as long as they wish. Team Amethyst has made a pack with the ghost pokemon of the forest and so they won't trap Team Amethyst members, however, they made do so when playing with the members. The area is dark, gloomy, and covered in dead trees, yet no light enters the forest. The forest covers a wide expansion in Northern Ophoore and connects to Route 10, Seraphic Park, and Maple Town. Team Amethyst members should head towards Maple Town to win their first badge.

What you can do (Applies to both chapters)
-Battle wild Pokemon
-Catch wild Pokemon (Stop your posts just after throwing your pokeball. I decide what level it is and if you catch it.)
-Battle Pokemon Trainers
-Find TMs (You may choose what TMs you find, but it must be under 70 attack and reasonable as well as the location should be logical.)
-You may find other items as well*** (I'll control how much you receive and make the item reasonable and logical

The rarity determines the difficulty of catching a pokemon. The scale is Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Extremely rare. You will rarely see extremely rare. It is most often used for hard to get pokemon like Chansey or Ralts.

Also the actions that are under "What you can do" can only be done once per post and you may only pick one to do like you may not atempt to capture a pokemon and find a TM in the same post. The exceptions have astricks by them like this You may find other items as well***. You may combine them with posts that don't have astricks like Finding non-TM items and catching pokemon in the same post.

Chapter 2: First capture

"Hmpph, this forest is so dark, and its really starting to irritate me Ferno" Scythe said as he looked at his Cyndaquil which he decided to name Ferno. Scythe continues walking through the blatent forest and than notices a gastly hovering right in front of him. "GASSSSSSTTTLYYY" the ghost pokemon let out in a long screech, as it just floated there as if it wanted to irritate Scythe more. "Ahh i guess if you won't move than i'll just have to capture you, huh gastly?" the boy jokingly said as he ordered Ferno to use ember.

The gastly dissapeared causing the attack to miss, and somehow reapeared behind the fire pokemon. "Crap this things annoying" Scythe scolded to himself. "Ferno turn around and use another ember attack!" he yelled to his pokemon. But just as Ferno was about to attack, a dark bird type pokemon came and knocked it down, causing the gastly to go free. "What! what is that thing!" Scythe yelled as he pulled out his pokedex which told him it was a Murkrow.

"GRRR, well i guess if i can't catch that damn gastly than i'll capture you, Ferno use tackle on this interfering pest!" the boy said to his pokemon in a frustrated way. "Cynda!" The pokemon shoute as it rammed forward to make contact with the bird, but somehow the pokemon kept dodging. Murkrow continues to dodge the attacks while laughing at the boy and his cyndaquil, and Scythe begins to get really frustrated. "Alright Ferno stop tackling and use smockscreen!" Scythe shouted as he began to put on his goggles. The pokemon used smockscreen and ran over to its trainer, who at the moment is trying to use the smoke to think of a plan. "Hmm, come on Scythe think of the techniques your dad taught you" the boy thought to himself and than he realized what he had to do.

Noticing that the murkrow was still sitting aimlessly in the middle of the field, he ordered his cyndaquil to try and climb up the tree beside them just as the smoke cleared. Ferno quickly made its way up the tree and the murkrow began to look around for it, but only noticed Scythe. "Murrr?" the pokemon said looking very confused. "Now Ferno dive down and use ember, follwed by a tackle attack!" Scythe belched out as he knew it was the perfect timing. "CYNDAAA!" the little pokemon said as it dived out of the tree and shot a perfect ember attack right over the Murkrow. Then to break it's landing Ferno did exactly what it was told and used tackle on murkrow, causing it to faint.

"Alright, Ferno!" Scythe said to cyndaquil as it happily hurried over to him. Now it's time to catch this pokemon and head down south to Seraphic Park like the boss ordered. As he grabbed a pokeball and threw it at the unconciouss Murkrow, he felt a presence walking somewhere near him in the forest. Figuring it was just another Amethyst member making there way through, he watched as the glowing ball moved back and fourth.

tim0789 Your post was a little short. Like Sasuneuchiha (Sasuneuchiha did a bit better after I warned him) I would like your posts to be longer, but I will let you catch the pokemon this time because it is you first non-intro post on my RP. Scythe caught a level 2 Murkrow.

To everyone The OOC thread is up, however, I have still yet to add most of your SUs. I will do so soon and I'll add caught pokemon and thier levels.

I kinda think ours are only short because we group everything into paragraphs unlike most of the others who caught them into smaller sections and spread them out to take up space. But if you want more than i will make them longer lol just throwing out my opinion.

"Ahh what a day it's been already" Beo said to his mareep who he was carefully petting.

"Mareep mareep" she said back happily, as Beo continued to pet her.

They may not have known each other but for more then a few hours, but Beo felt a strong connection with his first pokemon, and was finally happily to have one that was his own.

"You know what Mareep, I think i'm going to give you a nickname. Hmm how about Zaps?" Beo asked his pokemon with a smile. Mareep nodded her head up and down happily, and Beo knew she liked it.

"Ok Zaps we should get going onto route 14 towards Siren Maw, so return" Beo said as he returned Zaps to his pokeball and clipped it to his belt, he then made his way onto the right.

Route 14 may have been a small route, but it was a very nice in Beo's eyes, the sun was shinning, and it was just a great day. As he made his way through the route he started to ponder the question of what the real main goal of team topaz is, since he really didn't pay much attention to that, he was just happy to get his first pokemon.

Beo had been on the route for about an hour now, and sweat was starting to drip from his forehead, so he stopped for a minute, and sat down against a tree that was near him. Sitting there for a minute he looked up to the sky through the leaves and branches, and he then saw his next chance to aquire another pokemon. He quickly pulled out his pokedex and identified the pokemon that was moving around in the tree.

"Pidgey, the flying bird pokemon, it's keen eye ability makes it a formidable foe" the pokedex said.

Beo decided he would have Zaps sneak up on it, he also knew that electric pokemon were strong against flying types. He quitely pulled out Zaps pokeball and let it out.

"Ok Zaps I want you to go behind this tree and use a thunder shock on that pidgey" Beo said whispering. Then Zaps put a weird look on her face, and Beo relized she had not learned how to use thunder shock yet, and would have to do this without a type advantage. Just then the pidgey noticed them and flew out of the tree. Beo thought it was flying away for good, but then it darted back down for them and hit Zap's with a direct tackle attack.

"Ahh zaps, get up and climb up that tree" Beo shouted since he knew Zaps wouldn't be able to hit the pidgey from the ground.

Zaps darted up the tree and got to the tip top of it as Beo shouted "Now tackle attack" he shouted as Zaps launched itself outta the tree right at the pidgey. The pidgey quickly darted towards the flying Mareep and the both collided falling towards the ground.

"No Zaps" Beo shouted as he slide and caught her in his lap.

"You alright?" he asked her.

"Mareep mareep" she shouted jumping back to her feet, but noticed the pidgey was struggling to get up. It had broken it's wing on the fall, and now could barley balance.

"Pid-gey" it said softly, trying not to show it was hurt.

"Hey little guy don't be scared let me help you" Beo said as he grabbed some bandages from his bag and wrapped it around the wing.

"Hmmm I guess watching my brother's bredding and coordinator skills have some effect" Beo thought to himself as he finished up.

"Well if you want I can take you to a pokecenter?" Beo asked the pidgey.

"Pid---geyyy" it said happily as it shook its head yes.

"Awesome!" Beo shouted as he threw a pokeball at the pidgey.

He then patted Zaps on the head and told her that she had fought hard, and that they would keep getting stronger. He then returned Zaps to her pokeball and made his way off of Route 14 into Sirens Maw.

tim0789 Yeah I know that has something to do with it, so I decide that I'll be fine if you make you posts around the size of your first chapter post. You went from 33 lines to exactly 20 (13 line difference and yeah I counted). Also I thought the battle could've lasted a bit longer. I hope what I have told you can be of some use.

dboring Did you actually "catch" the Pidgey. I couldn't tell if you just were going to take it to a pokemon center and fight when it was healthy for capture or actually caught it for good.

Also because the OOC thread is up could any comments/questions be posted on the OOC thread please.

Edit: dboring Beo befriended a Pidgey.

Chapter 2 - Route 1! Nidoran Appears, but Will Bagon Obey?

Well, she was finally out of that hideous museum, out of that boring town. Amd Route 1 it was. Well, nothing too bad. Only thing was, too many Zigzagoon for Cierra's liking. Although she had never really seen many, she didn't like their design, though she recalled liking Linoone's design. Oh, and too many Rattata. Like she hadn't seen a million others back in Johto. But Cierra wasn't one to complain out loud.

"Time to see you out again, Tari!" Cierra exclaimed, opening up the Pokeball. Out came the blue dragon-like creature.

"Bay!" it said in its gruff, but still somehow feminine voice. It looked around, and at once seemed to spot something. It wasn't before long that Cierra spotted the shade of blue, too. As her Bagon ran over to the spot, she followed it, and concealed ever-so-carefully behind the bushes was a female Nidoran. The Nidoran immediately spotted the two, and growled at Cierra. Must be a really feral one, Cierra thought. Well, better work on catching it...

"Tari! Bite!" The Bagon turned around and looked at Cierra with a confused gaze. She walked over to her master, and nipped her arm, causing Cierra to retract from the critter quickly. "Tari!" she said, shocked, "Why did you do that?!" The Bagon looked at her with displeasure, then focused on the Nidoran. Please tell me you want to attack the thing too... Cierra thought. With a great lunge, Tari attacked the Nidoran with a Bite attack, only to be caught by surprise. The Nidoran had its poisonous quills up, and Tari was immediately poisononed. Oh, shoot! Not now... Cierra thought.

Surprising as it was, Tari managed to stay up and alert, only to attack the Nidoran with her Bite again. The Nidoran fell back this time, while Tari winced at the ever-growing poison. When the time seemed right, Cierra threw the PokeBall, hoping the Nidoran would be caught, but just as the ball was about to hit the small thing, Tari leaped up and started bouncing it on her head. During that time, the Nidoran was able to stand back up. She began charging at Tari, who seemed to hit the Pokeball back in a distraught Cierra's direction, and then attacked back.

After what seemed like ages, The Nidoran once again fell, this time nearly unconscious. Barely unable to sustain herself, Tari wobbled back in forth, ready to fall over. At last, Cierra threw the Pokeball Tari had messed with, and it hit the Nidoran on cue. As she waited for the ball to stop or release the creature, Cierra recalled Tari, so she wouldn't cause any more trouble.

Serene Your post was kind of short and so I'd like your posts to be a little bit longer in the future. It was kind of humorous though... anyways Cierra caught a level four Nidoran female.

Wow, those Nidorans sure are popular XD. Also I've been kind of easy this chapter. Don't be suprised if you start failing to catch pokemon because your post is too short. Once any one of the New Adventurers (excluding Sasuneuchiha) has posted I will start working on chapter 3 (if it isn't obvious already it's Beginroot Town).

Chapter 2: Route 1, Part 2

Tag Team!

… and all of a sudden, a click. The Pokéball stopped shaking, and the Nidoran was finally caught. "Yes!" Ana cried out in joy.

"Woopah!" the Wooper imitated her gleefully jumping up and down next to her.

"Alright then…" Ana wondered while she walked up to the Pokéball, picked it up, and threw it back out to examine her first ever capture.

"Nido… hmph!" the Nidoran the Nidoran huffed, it was obviously hurt by the fact that it had been captured so easily

"What? Come on are you seriously going to give attitude too? God!" Whatever though, I need to make it to Beginroot Town as soon as possible! "Hey, you don't get ANY say in the matter… Donny… after all, you just lost to Woopy, and she's a girrl" Ana made sure to slur the r in girl to give it more of a dramatic, and insulting effect. She knew how to get guys frustrated, and THIS guy was definitely some type of Machoran.

"Nii?!" the Nidoran's (Donny apparently) reaction was very similar to Woopy's first reaction to her own nickname. A sudden wheez, followed by the reaction to Ana's insult about losing to a girl, upon which hearing, Donny bit his lower lip, and let go of a couple tears in a comical fashion.

"Hehe!" Woopy gave off a malicious laugh at her new teammate's reaction, sure, it sucked for him and she understood first-hand, but it's always fun to see someone else's suffering.

This action though, was returned with a glare from Donny in a very [I will take this chance to travel the world and become stronger than anyone else… including you] kind of way.

"Anyways, let's go… it's starting to get late." Ana said with a calm expression as she withdrew both Woopy and Donny back to their Pokéballs. "Alright then," she said as she refilled her water bottle once more, and proceeded to mount her bike and continue on the road to reach Beginroot Town. The terrain was VERY rugged, and even though it was a mountain bike, Ana's clumsiness had caused it to get more than a couple dents and scratches. My brother's gonna kill me, she thought as she made her way back into the road heading eastward. She quickly reached a four-way intersection in the middle of the road, but continued straight… she already knew the way.

. . . . . . . . . .

It had again been a couple hours before being able to see Beginroot Town in the horizon. "Finally! I'm almost there!" Ana told herself exhausted and relieved. It's been a while I guess, she thought as the familiar sight became bigger sitting at the line which separates the Earth from the Sky.

"Stop right there!"
a childish and unfamiliar voice demanded. "In order to access the great Beginroot Town, you must first pay the toll!"

What the?…
"Who's there!" Ana demanded. This is definitely just a joke!

"I am the great… Kevin, Pokémon Master of Beginroot Elementary!" a mysterious kid who had just popped out of some bushes stated with an over-confident smirk painted on his face. "If you…"

"Get out of the way" Ana replied bluntly. She had no time for this sort of infantile pranks.

"I see you are in disagreement with the toll…" Kevin said calmly with an air of superiority. "Very well then, thou shalt taste the power of the Guardian of Beginroot Town!" upon finishing his statement, Kevin sent out both a Pidgey and a Rattata. "Prepare to fight!"

"Look… I really don't have time for this, maybe some other day, okay?" Ana said trying to get herself out of this uncomfortable situation.

"No can do, the rules must be followed, and you are to pay the toll of entrance, OR PAY THE CONSEQUENCES!" the kid said boastfully.

"Alright then, go Woopy, Donny, beat this kid up!" Ana said while simultaneously sending out her two Pokémon. "Also, before we get this started…" she mentioned while searching through her bag for something… Aha! "…my Pokédex!"

"*pokemonelite2000 image removed*Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. Small, very quick, and cautious in the extreme, this Pokémon is constantly listening to its surroundings by moving its ears around; it also gnaws on several things to keep its teeth from becoming too long, and can eat virtually anything. This Pokémon reproduces continuously, and it is said that if one is spotted, 40 others are sure to be around. And, *pokemonelite2000 image removed*Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. Commonplace and very docile, wild Pidgeys tend to use techniques such as whirlwinds, or flappin or kicking up sand to avoid conflict. If disturbed, however, they can ferociously strike back!"

"Ha! Getting scared already!?"
the over-confident kid said, "I'll show you true power; Pidgey, Rattata, first strike wins let's go! Quick Attack and Tackle!"

Kevin's two Pokémon charged at Ana's with amazing speed and determination. Ana was definitely shocked. "Damn, counter you guys! Woopy with Water Gun, and Donny use…"

The kid's Pidgey didn't even have a chance to try and get out of the way, and it took the blast of water fully in mid-charge, but Rattata was too fast for both Donny and Ana, and it was able to down Donny with a powerful hit to the side. Damn! She thought. "Woopy help out Donny use another Water Gun against that Rattata!"

"Woop!" her Pokémon agreed and sent another powerful blast against the mouse Pokémon. As soon as the Rattata was off of him though, Donny came charging full speed at Wooper. "Woop?!"

"Wait, Donny no!…" she hadn't finished her sentence when Donny was already in hitting distance from Woopy. Woopy, scared, closed her eyes and tried to cover herself by turning around. What? Why are you doing this Donny?!

"No!!!" Kevin screamed frustrated. As soon as she heard this, Ana realized what was going on; Donny jumped. He was airborne, directly over Woopy, who was also surprised by not having felt an impact, but the most surprised was the Pidgey, who had been instructed to use Rattata's distraction to attack Woopy from behind. "Dodge Pidgey!!!" but it was already too late. Nidoran's horn incrusted itself deep in the Pidgey from the strong impact of both Pokémon, and the tiny bird Pokémon simply fell on the floor, unconscious, and deeply hurt. If Donny wasn't so young, the venom would probably have the strength to kill it.

"Nido!" Donny said with a stern expression. He was breathing heavily since it wasn't his first OR second fight today, and in that last attack his body went into an anaerobic state, and now, the lactic acid and lack of oxygen was eating away at his muscles.

"Kid!" Ana called the shocked Kevin. "Your Pidgey is deeply hurt, it'll be better if we take it to the closest Pokémon Center; I can help you get there."

"No!" the kid interrupted violently, while recalling Pidgey to its Pokéball. "Don't pity me… You're the one who hurt Pidgey, and Rattata and me are gonna make you pay!"

Ana was shocked by the sincere feelings and anger of the kid in front of her. "Sorry, but as much as I feel sorry for you, I cannot allow you to do that. You're still young, you have no chance against me" she continued, "… not only do my Pokémon seem more powerful, now I have a numbers advantage, and the mental capacity advantage over you as well. You're about ten years too early."

The kid was shocked by the sudden analysis, but his response was: "Does it look like I care about what you think? Rattata, Quick Attack! Destroy that Nidoran!"

"Rattataaaa!" both master and Pokémon were at the brink of tears. Their relationship was strong, but they lacked the power.

"Donny, Woopy, use a Leer and Tail Whip combination!"
Ana's voice was calm, her eyes settled, and her heart a bit disturbed. Why is he trying so hard? She thought. The attack was definitely effective, not only on the Pokémon, but the trainer himself too! Tears escaped both of their eyes, and Rattata charged even faster than before, it was determined to used an all or nothing attack! "Donny, dodge." at the sudden command, Donny took a step forward, and just as both Pokémon were about to collide, he jumped. Rattata was going too fast to react to the attack, and slid underneath him, looking up in awe at his foe's underbelly. "Woopy… finish it." Woopy followed her command just as well as Donny, and used one last powerful blast of water that sent Rattata flying in a weird angle. The battle is over. We've become stronger.

Kevin fell to his knees as he recalled his second Pokémon, but this time he couldn't keep it in, and began to sob uncontrollably. Maybe, I should wait for him to get better before going home?

Drunk That was good post and I liked the tag battle. Woopy grew to level 9 and learned Mud Shot. Donny grew to level 7 and learned focus energy.

King You are reserved for the last Team Topaz spot. You may have either Numel or Shroomish

New Adventurers I will post your third chapter when I finish Team Topaz's third chapter.

Chapter 2 part ...first battle!

Scythe watched as the pokeball in front of him stopped moving, and instantly knew he had caught the Murkrow. "Alright! we did it Ferno!" Scythe said to his pokemon while picking up his newly aquired teammate. "Hmmph, those were some battling tactics" a voice from behind said. Shocked to hear a voice Scythe turned around to see a man wearing something similar to a samurai suit. "Ummm, you are?" Scythe asked the oddly dressed man with a confused look. "The names Jeff, and i'm a Bug Catcher, but it's kinda hard to find bug pokemon to catch in this forest" the man said with a giggle. Scythe listened to the man talk but still had no idea what he wanted.

"But anyway, when i saw you i figured that i might as well make use of my trip to this forest and challenge you to a battle" Jeff proclaimed to Scythe. "A battle?" Scythe said as he looked at his Cyndaquil who already was worn down, and than to the newly aquired Murkro who was probably also tired. "Ya, ill even give ya two potions so you can heal your pokemon" Jeff said in a nice manner. Looking at the bug catcher Scythe decided he could use a battle and accepted the boys offer. Scythe healed his pokemon and than said that Ferno would be his pokemon of choice. Jeff looks at the pokemon and decides he will use his heracross.

"Go Ferno use tackle!" Scythe shouted to his pokemon. "Cynda!" The pokemon yellped as it ran head first at the heracross. "Heracross, hold your ground, and use horn attack!" Jeff ordered his pokemon. As Ferno was about to hit the heracross it was instantly lifted into the air by Heracross's horn attack and went flying into a tree. "Ferno are you ok?" Scythe yelled out to his pokemon that got up pretty fast and insisted it was good to go. "Alright Ferno, you got this use tackel again!" Scythe shouted. "Heracross do the same thing as last time!" Jeff yelled. Ferno ran towards the bug pokemon as it got ready to throw the little pokemon with its horn. "Now Ferno slide to the side of Heracross and hit it with another tackle from behind!" Scythe said thinking on his feet. Heracross began to put its horn in position but to it's suprise Ferno had moved to its side, and charged into heracross.

"Heraaaaa!" The pokemon scram in pain as it took the hard tackle from the side. But to Scythe's suprise the Heracross was still standing it's ground. "What! this heracross is strong" Scythe said shocked. "Haha ya he's my first pokemon and ive been with him since day one, there's no way you can win" Jeff laughed this to Scythe who began to look frustrated. But Scythe calmed down and began to yell to his pokemon. "Ferno use mutiple tackle attacks on the various sides of Heracross, and than finish with one last tackle from behind!" Jeff who was still laughing was caught off gaurd, and watched as Ferno moved swiftly from side to side pounding into his pokemon. "Ahh Heracross get out of their!" Jeff yelled out, but it was to late. "CYNNNNNDAAAAAAAQUUUIIIILLLL!" Ferno yelled as it used the last of it's energy to preform a super strong tackle attack to the bug. Heracross turned around and tried to use a horn attack on Ferno, this caused the two pokemon to collide. The two pokemon were pushing head to head against each other, and neither of them seemed to want to give up their ground. "Ferno you can do it, just push harder and give it your all!" Scythe yelled to his pokemon trying to encourage it. All of a sudden Ferno got a spark in it's eye and began to push harder which was causing the heracross to move backwards. The Heracross let out a yell as it lost its footing and began to fly backwards from the amazing force of the two pokemon's combined attacks. "Herraa...." the pokemon said softly as it passed out on to the ground.

"Woot! you did it ferno!" Scythe beemingly said to his first pokemon as he went over and picked it up before it to passed out. "Wow, i dont believe it" Jeff said shocked and upset. Scythe walked over and shook the man's hand. "Hey, it was a good battle but just because Ferno is a lower level doesn't mean it can't win. It all comes down to tactics, and i had the upperhand their." Scythe said. "Hmmm ya i guess your right, I seemed to have learned something today. Thanks Scythe, but i better get going and try to find a way out of this forest." Jeff told Scythe as he walked away. "Scythe started laughing as he watched Jeff walk further into the forest, because he knew that Jeff would just keep getting lost thanks to the gastly.

"Thanks, Ferno you did great today" The boy said to his resting pokemon as he returned it to it's ball. "Murkrow next time we battle you get starting position ha" he than said to the pokeball containing his Murkrow. Scythe than started walking further south towards his destination.

Chapter 3: Siren's Maw, Team Topaz

Description: A long tunnel that connects Route 14, 13, and Rivington. The tunnel is a large depository of gems and shimmers all around. The tunnel also has many rivers running through and is partially sunken. The tunnel got its name from how gem prospecters would mistake the rivers for ground when they tried to receive a gem and would drown because of the way the gems captivated them. There were also myths from centuries ago that said there was Siren living in the tunnel.

What you can do
-Battle wild Pokemon
-Catch wild Pokemon (Stop your posts just after throwing your pokeball. I decide what level it is and if you catch it.)
-Battle Pokemon Trainers
-Find TMs (You may choose what TMs you find, but it must be under 70 attack and reasonable as well as the location should be logical.)
-You may find other items as well*** (I'll control how much you receive and make the item reasonable and logical)
-Reach Checkpoint of a four way intersection*** (See description for details. This is optional, but recommended)

Beo had just gotten off of route 14 and was now making his way through Sirens Maw. Sirens Maw was a very long tunnel, which kinda creeped Beo out. He really just wanted to get to the next town so he could keep his promise to Pidgey and get it healed. He walked deeper and deeper into the tunnel without any signs of light at the end he grabbed Zaps pokeball of his bag and let her walk next to him.

"Alright Zaps you can keep me company" Beo said smiling to his pokemon.

As Beo got deeper in though he finally discovered countless gems shimmering all around him, the next thing he heard was what sounded like a river, and relizeing he hadn't had a drink in awhile he was thirsty.

"Let's go Zaps" he said as he took off towards the sound of the water waving Zaps to follow him.

It took him awhile of searching but he finally found where the sound of water flowing came from and he knelt down to take a nice big sip of water. As he did this though, he was splashed in the face by an unknown thing. He cleared the water out of his eyes and looked out to see a pokemon in the water laughing at Beo. Smirking back Beo pulled out his pokedex.

"Seel the seal type pokemon" the pokedex said.

"Ok Zap's it's time we show this Seel whose boss!" Beo shouted as the Seel was still laughing.

"Now hit it with Tackle" he shouted as Zaps jumped and went to hit the Seel but it dove underwater and Zaps missed, landing in the water also. Zaps was then flung from the water as the Seel hit it with a headbutt.

"Ah come on Zap's get up, and try tackle again!" Beo shouted. As he noitced that Seel was flinching a bit.

Zap's tried again but it had the same outcome, but again Beo noticed the Seel flinching in more pain. He realized that it was Zap's ability known as Static, and this has been shocking Seel a little each time it hit Zaps.

"Hmm Zap's just trust me and stay strong, try tackle one more time!" Beo shouted as Zaps dove at the Seel and once again was flung from the water. Only this time Seel was flinching so bad it could barley move anymore.

"Yes we got it now, Zaps growl, then hit it with a tackle!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.

Zaps growled full force at the Seel making it flinch more, then dove at it with a tackle hitting it directly and knocking it out. Beo grabbed a pokeball from his bag and tossed it at the Seel.

"Ya, way to keep fighting Zaps!" Beo said grinning as he waited to see if the Seel would stay caught or not.

Chapter 2, Part 1: VS Buneary

Sam, Nido and Scorp had just arrived in Beginroot town and they were already impressed. There were so many people. More than Sam expected. Walking up to a man who seemed to understand what was going on, he asked, "Um...what's going on?" "Eeeek! You! Get away! You can't have my pokemon!!!" the man said. "Um...you don't understand I don't want your..." Sam was cut off. "No! Go Inaba!" the man said, throwing out a pokemon. A rabbit like pokemon appeared. "Maybe I should check my pokedex..." Sam said, pulling out his pokedex. It said, "Buneary. This pokemon has powerful hind legs and uses them to jump very high." "I see. Hm...this'll be a hard fight, since it looks strong. I better start with...Nido!" Sam said, throwing out his second pokemon.

Nido flew into the arena to face Inaba. "Use Double Hit!" the man said. Buneary charged, but it wasn't fast. Nido jumped it. Then something weird happened. It turned around and hit Nido and Nido flew. "Whoa!" Sam said, surprised. He hadn't expected that. Then again...it was called Double Hit..."Okay! Let's use Leer!" Sam said. Nido stared at his opponent. Sam knew this would lower it's defenses. "Grrrr! Are you mocking us?! Use Ice Punch!" the man said. The Buneary's hand was suddenly covered in ice. Sam knew this would KO Nido if it hit. He couldn't let that happen. "Jump it! Then use leer again!" Sam said. Nido jumped straight over the Buneary and dodged the attack perfectly. Another leer lowered its defense again. "Now! Peck!" Sam commanded. Nido charged left and then cut right and hit Inaba hard. Inaba went flying. "Now! Return!" Sam said, holding up a pokeball. Nido flew into it. "Now go! Scorp!" Sam said, throwing out his other pokemon. Scorp came out of it's pokeball, ready to fight. "Use Bounce!" the man commanded. Inaba flew up.A second later, it came down straight on Scorp. Scorp went flying and cried out in pain. Sam knew that attack was super effective and that Scorp couldn't take another one. "Use Bite!" Sam said. Scorp flew forward. Inaba was ready for this attack, though. It dodged. Wait a second...Sam thought. It always jumps to dodge...so it isn't fast on the ground. Hm...we just have to keep it down..."Go! Run into those trees!" Sam said, charging towards Route 1. Inaba and her trainer followed. There were suddenly in some trees.

Sam knew what he had to do. "Go! Poison Sting!" Sam commmanded Scorp. Scorp shot a whole bunch of poisonous needles at Inaba. Inaba tried to dodge, but it hit its head. The needles hit hard and Inaba was poisoned. "Shoot! We can't keep going...use Ice Punch again!" the man commanded. Inaba flew forward at Scorp, but this was Scorp's enviroment. It just ducked under the punch and got behind Inaba. "Now use bite!" Sam said. Scorp bit Inaba and it went down. "NOOOOOOOO! INABA! GRRRRRRRRRR! I WILL NOT FORGET YOU! TOMORROW! I WILL SEE YOU IN THE CONTEST!" the man said. "Um...what's a contest?" Sam asked. "What?! You don't know what a contest is?! It's a chance for coordinators to show of their pokemon's skills. My name's Usagi. Don't forget it!" Usagi said, leaving. "Hm...a contest, huh? Maybe I should enter. Ok. That's what I'll do...tomorrow. To the pokecenter!" Sam said. At the pokecenter, Sam had his pokemon healed.

He thought about that day. He'd only been in town a day and he'd had a battle. And this contest, what were they all about? He'd never even heard of one. He was going to enter, though. He wasn't going to sit there uselesly and do nothing. He WOULD defeat his opponent. No doubt there. But first, he had to sleep. He was going to have a big day tomorrow and had to be ready.
