Chapter 3: Beginroot Town, Part 1
Woopy???
Ana walked up to the little kid in the end of Route 1, there she stood for about a minute before extending her hand to the kid. Both were quiet, Kevin had never lost a battle, and he was devastated after failing to avenge his precious Pidgey. Ana couldn't believe what she had just done, this kid, he tried so hard.
Why did I win? A minute passed. Both stayed quietly at the same place, Ana had her hand extended to the kid, and he was simply on his knees wiping off his tears. Finally, he took her hand and got up.
This world… is so cruel. Ana thought as she held the boy's hand.
The strong feed upon the weak, in order to make one's wishes come true, I need to stomp on other's wishes too. Am I ready for this? Together, both Kevin and Ana walked silently into her hometown with the setting Sun at their backs, straight to the Pokémon Center where they would heal their Pokémon.
"Thank you" she heard the boy say. It must've been painful to him.
. . . . . . . . . .
Once inside the Pokémon Center, Kevin and Ana walked up to the counter where a cheerful-looking, pink-haired nurse awaited them.
"Hi, welcome to the Pokémon Center, do you wish to heal your Pokémon?"
"Yes, please" Kevin said quietly, and sniffed as he gave her his two Pokéballs.
"Me too!" Ana said as she handed her Pokéballs over to the nurse. "Would you please check them up, and I'll pick them up tomorrow.
"Of course…" the nurse seemed worried by the solemn attitude of both trainers.
"My name is nurse Joy, please ask for me when you get back, okay?"
"No." both ladies were shocked by the sudden refusal of the little kid,
"I'll stay, until Pidgey is fine and I can take him out for some training!"
"I'll see you in the morning then"
"What?" Kevin had obviously thought that if he stayed she would stay as well.
"I need to see my family, and get some other issues taken care of" then with a warm smile Ana told Kevin:
"Please, don't give up on your dreams because of me, okay?" and with that she left, still headed east towards her home.
. . . . . . . . . .
"I'm home!" a familiar voice reached the ears of the members of the Valenzuela family. Ana went inside the house, closing the sliding door behind her.
"Oh, it's late I thought you would've stayed out" this voice was as well unmistakable.
"I take it nothing happened to my bike, right?"
"Emilio! It's been a long time since I saw you! How have you been?" she said as she walked up to the other person and hugged him tight. He looked somewhere between 20-25 years of age, had tanned skin (unlike her), and hair that naturally looked like it was brown with blonde highlights. He was laying down on a sofa watching late-night TV, and was wearing nothing but boxers.
"I'm good, how about you sister, how was the museum?" he asked her.
"Hehe" Ana couldn't help to hide her guilty smile,
"Emilio, what would you say if I told you that I am a Pokémon trainer?"
"Impossible." Ana hadn't even had time to finish her question before Emilio interrupted her.
"What? What do you mean impossible?!" she said indignantly.
"I just don't think you have it in you, it's nothing against you, but training and researching are completely different things. Of all the professors, Prof. Samuel Oak is the only one to ever be able to win a big tournament, the Indigo Plateau, and even though he is a GENIUS, since he decided to go for research rather than training, he's become extremely weak! You would make for a great researcher, but I don't think that you have what it takes to be a trainer. Period."
He said that so leisurely! Ana had never felt more insulted, she walked up to him, and -SLAP!-
"I'll prove you just how wrong you are!" She said indignant, and ran upstairs on the verge of crying.
"Don't wake up dad!" Emilio yelled out.
"Remember he has to get up early to go to the fields!" -SLAM!-
That was definitely her door Emilio thought as he continued to watch his show. Night has fallen.
. . . . . . . . . .
"Ahhh… that was a good sleep. What time is it? 12:30? I woke up early today… I should get a job, and I need to take a piss." Emilio said as he got out of bed, walked up to his balcony, and right then and there, started to take a piss outside at a tree in the front yard.
"Good morning, Emilio!" an old, rusty, somewhat feminine voice called out.
"Ahh, Old Lady Kenna! How have you been?!"
"Good, good, listen I need you to come over, because I need a STRONG man to help me out to move some stuff, okay?!"
"Of course!" he replied as she walked off.
"What a sweet lady… as long as she doesn't die I don't need a job. There we go!" he said as he gave a couple of shakes, and pulled his boxers up again. After this, he went over to his bathroom (yes, he has a bathroom, which he uses to…) to wash his hands. And then downstairs to make himself a bowl of cereal.
"I'm home!" Ana was back and apparently, cheerful again.
"Hey Emilio, someone stole you bike last night"
"WHAT!"
"Just kidding…" she said giggling
"anyways, aren't you planning on getting dressed?" she asked him a bit worriedly.
"Nah, I don't have anything to do… listen, about last night…"
"Yeah, I know, I know… you're sorry and you didn't mean it…" Ana said rolling her eyes as she sat down next to her brother.
"No. I meant it." Emilio was being serious, this, in the mind of many people, was always thought to be impossible.
"If you were serious about that, I want you to stop."
"WHAT! You're kidding right?" she asked,
"There's no way I'll just stop because YOU, of ALL people tells me too!"
"No. I'm not kidding, and I'm not expecting you to just stop cus' I told you too. I'm willing to give you a chance… if you beat me in a battle, I'll let you do whatever you want, how about that?"
"No chance in Hell!" Ana stated making her brother blow milk threw his nose.
"There's gonna be a Pokémon Contest, and I need to get my Pokémon ready for it."
"It's over." Emilio came back to his senses after hearing the word: 'Contest'.
"I was invited as a judge to that Contest, some little kid won it, personally I thought he was too flashy in the appeals round, but that's probably why I never won a ribbon. Anyways, now that that's over with, I'll do everything to keep you from danger, because I love you. And because I love you, I can't allow you to be a Pokémon trainer. Fight me, to prove me wrong."
"If that's so…" Ana said peacefully before she exploded:
"Then I will humiliate you so badly, you will never show your face to the world again! NOT EVEN WHEN YOU PISS!"
"..."
. . . . . . . . . .
Both brothers stood alone in the outskirts of Beginroot Town next to Route 1.
"Very well then, seeing that you only have two Pokémon, and barely started training are going against me, a veteran, I'll give you ONE advantage. I'll let you battle me 2 on 1! And with that said, GO QUILAVA!"
"Looks like it won't be as hard as I imagined then… GO DONNY AND WOOPY!"
"Nido… RAN!"
"Ratt…?!"
"…"
Wait.
What in the world is going on, why is there a Rattata instead of Woopy, has the world gone crazy? Did Hell freeze over? Is Emilio wearing anything? Find out… next time I post!
