Wow, gotta be the most used site evar. Still funny though. Is there anyone who HASN'T seen it? I think it's been posted at every forum ever..

I've seen that. It was in one of my gaming magazines. Awesome stuff.

And the sad thing about that list is...

It's all true. I've looked through the list and I've encountered everything on there at least once from all the RPGs I've played since my NES days.

I don't see too much of a use for this trhead at the moment. So, let's get some discussion going beyound "that site is teh r0x0rs!!!!!!!!!!11!", kay?

Make your own additions. Post some similar sites. I have one. Not the best language in the world, mind you, so I'll save it.

Man...which oines you found funniest? I <3 the idea of the shopkeeper who survives the end of the world and acts like it never happened...^^

wow that's a big list who told you bout the site

Well, a buddy of mine showed it to me and told me to check it out.

My favorite is the Sephiroth Memorial Escape Clause.

I'd had a few to add to that list, but the guy there stopped taking e-mails regarding the list. Guess that means it's fair game to pick apart now:

    -Master Key

There will be one ultimate key in the game that will open any locked doors you haven't yet. Sadly, by the time you get it, only the last 3 locked doors in the game will need to be opened.

    -Elemental Guardians

There are always at least 4 Elemental Guardians, Earth, Fire, Wind and Water. Occasionally there'll be a fifth one of a varying type from Light to Void. Sure enough, saving the world will require you to either fight, or recruit each and every one of them.

    -Crystals

Crystals ALWAYS come in sets of fours. There are no exceptions. If more than 4 exist, the others are either on another world, or in the underworld, but there'll be exactly four there. The exception to this rule is...

-The Rule of Eights (or Zelda Rule)

Any RPG that falls under this rule will have 8 dungeons and 8 of something to find. Beating the game will require you to have all 8 objects, requiring you to painstakingly go through each and every dungeon to find them.

You know what? Why don't we do something different here? Let's post any RPG cliches that they haven't thought of yet here.

If there are 2 species, there will ALWAYS be a half/half person, who is either hated by all, or keeps it a secret. This person will be a main character, and join your party, or be the main/one of the main villians.

    Xenobiology Rule
The predatory species of the world will include representatives of all of the following: giant spiders, giant scorpions, giant snakes, giant beetles, wolves, squid, fish that float in midair, gargoyles, golems, carnivorous plants, chimeras, griffons, cockatrices, hydras, minotaurs, burrowing things with big claws, things that can paralyse you, things that can put you to sleep, things that can petrify you, at least twenty different creatures with poisonous tentacles, and dragons. Always dragons.

Tales of Symphonia had all of the above, XD

Place Transvestite Joke Here (Miss Cloud Rule)

If the male lead is required to dress up like a girl for any reason, he will be regarded by everyone as much more attractive than any "real" girl. If the female lead cross-dresses as a man, she will be immediately recognized as who she is by everyone except the male lead and the main villain.

Oo @ this one. All in all, this page is funny and true... sad, XD
