The Original Series...

I loved TOS, but I didnt like Johto THAT much for some reason. Advanced Generation was pretty decent for me, but I really don't like D/P for some reason.

Started watching pokemon back in 1999 when the TOS originaly aired, the stories seem to advance a lot quicker back then without there being too much of a gap between episodes for the next major plot point9gym battles pokemon captures, evolutions), quite liked the Orange Island saga to. Then came Johto and it started to go downhill from there on in with the repetitiveness of the stories,( i.e new trainer need's help, team rocket bust in and get blasted off again and repeat) with massive gaps between each gym battle, continued watching it up until master quest then i sort of faded off.

My most recent extensive viewing of the series was Advance battle and even that didn't last long after the change in voice actors(the master mind of mirage Pokemon special for instance was really off putting).

Might come back and get myself updated on the newer episodes now though.

I think im the only one who enjoys the D/P seasons.
Obviously I like the older seasons better, but I still like D/P.

Dawn can go die though..

I honestly don't find anything wrong with the newer episodes .
They give us what we want .
Pokemon .
And as long as they do that, lots of people will watch it .

deferent writers same sell out merchandise, the only difference is back then the writers didn't take it seriously so they rebelled against the idea and tried to stray off the topic. Ash didn't actually battle that much in the first season. Those writers were fired and the new ones don't try. Not to mention you grew up so it lost it's magic.

Anything wit Gary in it is awesome....

OP, I feel the exact same way and have watched the exact same way you have! Yay for thinking alike?
I loved Master Quest. And Johto was fun, But SOMETHING happened after that...and it just turned into a horrible show...
They need some major changes that they should have made before and the show could've been great.

Pokemon has always been terrible. It's not something that started out great and then went downhill: It started out with boring characters and repetitive stories, and it still has them. Pokemon has always been a bad show and it probably always will be a bad show. I still watch it sometimes because it's wacky and fun to watch, but it's awful television.
