EDIT: DBK
Just wanted to clarify a few things about the tourney:
First: Volunteer Tourney Layouts:
- The 15 volunteers will battle each other once.
- The top 11 will be chosen
- Those 11 will be placed in gyms/elite four based on where they place in the tourney (ie, 11th place=1st gym, etc...)
- We will hold a poll to determine the types for the gyms and elite four
- When sending us results, please state winner and amount of pokemon left (for tie breakers)
- As a bonus, the leaders and elite four members can climb the ranks (depending on their performance)
Second: Contestant Tourney Layout:
- The contestants need to make it through the gym leaders, elite four, and champion.
- Contestants get a e-badge for every gym leader/elite four member they beat.
- Those that beat the champion get a special e-trophy.
- The first three to earn the e-trophy get the aforementioned prizes.
Third:
- I will have to discuss this with blazer, but for now I am making a change to the prizes:
1) First Place: Three shinies (at random levels) of your choosing, each holding an item of your choice.
2) Second Place: A level 100 shiny of your choosing with your choice of nature
3) Third Place: A level 100 pokemon of your choosing
- Pokemon will be untouched.
- Donations for prizes are accepted. P/VM us if interested in donating.
Fourth:
The rules are as stated above (with link) but with one change:
1) Instead of two restricted pokemon per battle, four per team, we've decided to allow only two per team. This makes it fair for both casual and competitive players who wish to participate.
We will attempt to get all the info out as soon as possible.
*On a side note, I wish to state that I have nothing against smogon or shoddy, as I have used them in the past and consider them very effective. However, not everyone uses them or is knowledgeable in the are of competitive play. Thus using VGC rules will make it a little more enjoyable for everyone. We want all types of players to be able to have an equal chance to rise in the ranks.
If you have any suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
