Emerald hack: The Pit v2 - Roguelite Style Hack

Well it doesn't learn anything in gen 9, Steelix is completely unobtainable in ScarVio, so the learnset has to have been taken from a different game. The only reason then it shouldn't have access to Iron Head is because it doesn't have access in BDSP. If we want to say PLA is Gen 9... it gets Iron Head in that game. So now I'm just confused

Legends Arceus is not Gen 9, it's Gen 8. Iron Head is also obtainable on Steelix in BDSP.

You getting screwed by Gen 9, not BDSP or Gen 8.

The only way to get Iron Head on Steelix is to play with one of the other limited dex options in the hack, either Gen 3 or Gen 5.

Okay well that's exactly why it doesn't have it like I said.

Man this hack is very stylish and very well put together, but the floors feel so bland. There is so much missed potential. All there is to do is run around and find the trainers to battle. I got through 21 floors when I just dropped it because I was bored and winning battles too easily. There has to be a way to keep getting new pokemon every floor or just do something else in the floors. The maps look breathtaking, amazing. The designs, UI, everything is awesome. But the gameplay itself is lacking. Floor after floor the battles are just too easy even on hard mode. And the lack of being able to vary my pokemons per floor just makes the floors genuinely boring, like I've got nothing else to do in them but run to the trainer, get my items and leave. I can't really explore and experience them. I really want to enjoy this game more as an alternative to Emerald Rogue, especially now that it's no longer being developed further. However, this still needs work and I just wanted to give my two cents. Thanks for all your work making this hack though, you guys have done a great job in many aspects, I just think the map experience and battles need tweaking.

The entire point of the hack is to be a glorified random battle sim like a new Battle Frontier facility. Removing route exploration is integral to the games design. If you're looking for route exploration this is not and will never be the hack for you. If you want that kind of gameplay there are other hacks like Emerald Rogue. You mention this game being an alternative to Emerald Rogue and yet you take issue with it having a different gameplay loop which is interesting. If we used the same formula what would even be the point of existing?

Also if you think the game is too easy on hard mode, you might be the single greatest Pokemon player alive. You didn't even get past the first boss of course the early floors are easier. There are a thousand different ways to play The Pit as there are dozens of run options you can change for difficulty. If there are too many trainers for you, you can change that. If you're not getting enough cash you can change that. If opponents are too weak or strong, you can change that. Difficulty is what you make it. That's the point of the hack.

Both your primary complaints are not actual problems with the hack, and we have no intention of addressing either. This is just not the hack for you.
