How does this function actually work? I was looking on Serebii but it didn't really help me. All I really understood was that it's the picture that says 1,2,3. How does it work though?

OK, there are two different things. One is the actual PokéRadar, the other is the PokéTch app that comes along with it.

When you're inside a patch of grass, use the PokéRadar to detect Pokémon in certain patches. That's all it does. However it's said that you have a higher probability of obtaining shinies this way. It is also the only way to get some Pokémon exclusive to certain areas, etc.

The PokéTch app tells you the top Pokémon you've encountered, through the number of times you've seen that certain Pokémon. It's not essential for your hunt, but it's nifty if you want to see which one to expect the most.

The PokéTch app is no. 20. You get both the PokéRadar and the app at Pal Park.

...the PokéRadar is a Key Item in your Bag.

You get the pokeradar from the professor when you obtain the national dex (Same time I think) but it can't be used without the pokeapp #20, Which is obtained from professor oak at Pal Park.

Thanks for the help everyone! I know how to use it now and it's given me a ton of new pokemon!

I have had some problems with my PokeRadar, for example when I was trying to find a Duskull & Bagon even when I went to patches that had white splotches no Rare pokemon would appear. I did get a togepi on my first try but for all other attempts it keeps on giving me commons.

it's all random, you cant just walk into an area and have all the rare pokes come out, i mean when i was trying to catch ditto it took me about an hour to find one.

I think your getting yellow ones not white white are super rare to get

I hate the PokéRadar so I'll just import the ones found that way. I was trying to find a Ditto until I got bored and decided not to use it anymore with PokéRadar-exclusive Pokémon.

So the white ones are shinies, then what are the yellow ones?

(Anyway, I only want 1 Shiny (Eevee) and is must be bred because of Wish)

The yellow ones, from what I find, are just slightly rarer pokemon than normal common ones

Hang on, while we're here, xD how is it possible then, that two of the things were exactly the same Pokemon? I had I think Corsola on 1 and 2.
