[PKMN OPEN] The Pokemon Trainer Academy (OOC) (NEW!)

Your pokemon can have all their in-game abilities, but doesn't necessarily need to. C=

Also can moves and abilities be used subsequently and or synchronously? And are there openings in the dorms? I looked in the OOC and it says there are two spots, but in the main RP thread it says they are all filled. Please clear this up for me because I would love to join and get started right away!

Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't realize the main page said that. There are in fact 2 spots open in every dorm. Feel free to send us an app!~ <3

Also, abilities are passively activated in the game, as are they here. They work more or less the same way they do in the games. (Whereas moves are actively used)

That's what I meant. xD Regardless, where does it say the spots are full? oxO I ... can't seem to find that mistake.

A NEW DAY HAS ARRIVED ...Finally!

Today will be type specialization day at the academy. If you're a teacher that doesn't already teach type specialization, you're allowed to choose a type to teach for the day. If that doesn't work for your character, they can still teach their normal class, however, only students who have declined to specialize will be attending that class. That being said, this is one of the few days students get to choose which classes they take. Rock on!

Also, for new people that don't know the routine. Classes take place in the mornings right after breakfast, and after class students are free to do what they please for the rest of the day including sports, clubs, extra studying, battles, traveling to different parts of the island, etcetera. If your class is taught by an NPC, you may feel free to control the teacher. If a teacher doesn't already teach the type your character wants specialization in, simply select an appropriate teacher from the list to do it, or have one of the three champions do it.

Also, Game Over is approved. C=

Today is Type Specialization Day, huh? Well, I suppose between Breloom's Poison Heal and Drapion being a poison-type, Jonah might be able to use this opportunity to expound on the wonders of the many and varied toxins found in the world of Pokemon, as well as a few theories about how literally everything has access to Toxic via the TM.

(Hey, he is a biologist.)

Note in advance: I'll be gone most of Wednesday for the start of the Official Flash Flash Revolution tournament! Looks like I've got an outside shot at making the top 8 in Division 4. :3

. . . Huh. Type Specialization.

. . .

Poor N. No classes for him to teach today lD Oh well there's always tomorrow

Specialization meaning a specialized class type? Dang it!
Gen should be hard to find for this, his team is totally different types.

lol, I think Brian might need to go to Normal Type specialization. :D After all, he'll have three normal types. XD I'll post sometime today. :D

I think mark would prefer to go for Bug Specialization or something. Oughta be fun to have Mark interact with Burgh :p

Genevieve is gonna go to water specialization. Adria most likely ice and water

Maxwell is going to have Bug specilaization, no sweat. I mean Burgh, one of the people Maxwell admires the most is a teacher, it would be blasphemy if he didn't go! xD

But Max doesn't have any bugs!

Hmm.... Ash+ fire? XD That might be a bad idea. And her fighting could hurt someone... Eh, if someone can find her up on the mountain she'll teach them about Fighting types with Kira.

I'll send Takumi for Ashara. (did I spell that right?)

Since my character is a Poison-type Specialist, I guess I'll be teaching about Poison-types on my first day of the job. XD

Next day, I'll be teaching about statuses... I think students will like Fyrir when he is just teaching. When battling though... He might annoy some people. XD

Woah haven't posted in here for a while. Vince will probably do rock specialty mainly because of his anorith or he will do dragon to get to understand Dyno more. Calnith will either do poison or rock not sure.

Hey, this is just a Pokemon version of Yu-Gi-Oh GX...I love GX 8D Count me in.

Name: Jaden Yuki

Nickname: None. Everyone calls him Jaden. (Jay-den)

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Dorm: Raikou Dorm

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Personality:

-Positive Traits-

Jaden is upbeat, confident and optimistic in nature. He never sees the downside of things, which can prove to be both a bad thing and a good thing. No matter how many insults you throw at him, he'll never really take you seriously unless you're nice to him. It seems like almost nothing can get him down. He's also very enthusiastic, he'll willfully explore anything no matter how dangerous. He's a free spirit, he believes he can go anywhere he wants, but he also knows his own limits, and won't try to bypass them.
Jaden is not afraid of defeat, he'll embrace either success or defeat with open arms, so to speak. Despite all this, Jaden is quite modest. He will never brag about his successes, or his Pokemon for that matter. He likes to keep them in their Pokeballs until they are needed, whatever the reason may be. Don't get me wrong, he does treat them well, he just feels that their power should not be abused.

-Negative Traits-

Jaden is a free spirit, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. The main bad thing about it is that he is prone to breaking rules. He doesn't let anybody tell him what to do, and won't hesitate to attempt just about anything he can. Another downside to this is that he sometimes-not much-but sometimes pushes his Pokemon too far. His Pokemon have picked up a nasty habit of kicking his tenders to tell him he has.
Jaden never sees the downside of things, or at least never tries to, which can be really annoying when someone is trying to explain something to him. His never seeing downsides and consequences leads to him making rash choices, and leads to reckless behavior.
