  • Hello thar~! This here is a rather random short story/oneshot or whatever you want to call it that I thought up. It isn't anything great, but I had fun writing this so I hope you have fun reading this. I would be extremely happy if I got any comments or criticizms so feel free to go wild on this. Now without further ado, I present to you-

    The Pristine Palace

A long time ago in the far off region known now as Unova there was once a small, peaceful town known as Musille. The people of Musille town were a finicky sort; they kept their city in impeccable condition and were appalled by even the thought of dirt or grime. All of the roads were paved with neat stones and twice a day someone would sweep any tiniest bits of dust off of the road and out of the village. The grass was pure and green and cut perfectly without muddy patches or thin splotches, and even the houses in Musille were all evenly trimmed without flaws and it was considered a horrifying sin for anyone's house to have even the most miniscule speck of dirt on or in it. All of the foul grime of the outside world was kept behind the great wall that surrounded the town with its polished clean stones that glimmered in the sunlight on most days. Many adventurous folks who traveled about Unova found the people of Musille to be peculiar and the village itself to be unnatural, but all who lived in Musille were perfectly content with their little perfect paradise.

Now one person who lived in Musille was a little girl who went by the name Molly. Molly was just like all of the other little girls in Musille; she wore floor-length sundresses and always had her soft, grayish pink hair tied into bouncy little pigtails. On nice days Molly would play on the pristine grass of her parents' yard with the other little girls of the village and she was happy to live in such a clean world.

However, no story would be written about Molly if that was how she lived her whole life. Indeed, things did change one day when all of the little girls of Musille were playing with the little boys of Musille. One particular little boy came to Molly and her friends and he dared them to sneak out of the city. Most of the other girls squealed and shrieked about how absolutely filthy the outside world was, but Molly didn't want to look like a coward.

Standing at the big iron gate with her friends and all of the little boys of the village behind her, Molly had a sudden flash of fear. With all of the courage she could muster, Molly opened the gate (for it was never locked) and stepped out into the dirty, disgusting world beyond.

The first thing that Molly noticed was the dirt that was now covering her shoes and the frills at the base of her dress, but soon enough that didn't matter. Outside the walls of the city she could see towering mountains and vast forests and uneven grass in patches that looked all wild like a scene from an adventure book. Pokemon such as patrat and pidove were calling to each other from perches up in trees or warm places on rocks and Molly even saw a mother liepard with her three purrloin kittens walk by. Enchanted by the magic of the scene, Molly didn't seem to notice the frightened screamed of her frantic mother trying to get her to come back inside the safe haven of Musille.
As soon as she got home that day, Molly was forced through five rigorous baths and her clothes were washed countless times to get rid of the dust and germs of the gross world outside of Musille. But no matter how many baths Molly would have taken, nothing could wash away the memory she had of the magical world she had glimpsed.

The next day Molly snuck out when no one was looking and crept about in the thick but uneven grass on the other side of the wall. During her stealthy exploration of this strange new world Molly saw many pokemon, but one in particular stuck out in her mind, a pokemon she had never seen before nor ever heard of. However strange that pokemon was, Molly thought that he was cute and so she followed him around and since he was a child like she was the little pokemon followed her around a little too. Molly played with her new pokemon friend for many hours until the sun began to set on their perfect little day and Molly realized that she had to get back home; her mother would be furious. Back at home again, Molly bathed many more times and her clothes were cleaned so hard that she thought that they might never be wearable again.

That day had turned out to be the start of a whole new path of life that Molly would gladly take. Every day after that one Molly would go out to play with her pokemon friend- she had started calling him Robby –and every day her mother would spitefully call to her to come home and bathe her even more furiously then the previous one. Slowly Molly learned to be more furtive and she figured out how to keep herself from getting dirty so that even her nit-picky mother stopped noticing the grime on her body and clothes. For many years Molly continued living like this without change, but the winds of change couldn't keep away from her forever.

By now Molly was a teenager, about sixteen to be precise, and her mother had long since forgotten the trips outside that Molly would take every day when she was little. In fact, Molly's mother did not have the slightest idea that Molly was still going out every day to play with Robby. No one knew about Robby.

And so it was that Molly's mother, thinking that her daughter was an ordinary, cleanly person, told her that it was time for her to choose a husband. It was customary in Musille for girls to choose their husbands and then for the parents to finalize the details. Molly's family happened to be quite high up in the government of Musille, which meant that virtually any boy that Molly wanted could and would be her husband. But Molly didn't know the boys of the town that well, so instead of confronting and choosing from them, she ran. Every time her mother asked about Molly's choice of husband Molly would say she wanted time to think and then she would flee the city to go play with her friend Robby.

This could only continue for so long, and one day Molly's parents found out that she had been leaving the city and they were furious. They told her she could never leave again, and to make sure of this they always kept an eye on her. But they still didn't know about the pokemon Robby.

On the first night after Molly had been put under surveillance she managed to sneak out for her parents were not so strange as to watch her sleep. Worried that she would never get to see him again, Molly ran to Robby and scooped the small pokemon off of the ground and cried with him in her arms. Because their bond was so tight, Robby and Molly had long since found that they could understand each other's speech, and so Robby tried his best to calm Molly down, but to no avail. Molly seemed hopeless.

Driven by his desire to help Molly, Robby began to glow all of a sudden. He sparkled like the sun in a dazzling array of colors and began putting on weight at a rapid rate. Pretty soon Molly found that Robby was too large and heavy for her to hold onto him anymore. After having been set on the ground Robby finalized his transformation with one last explosion of light. Robby was no longer a small pokemon; now he was taller than Molly by almost half a foot for he was easily six feet tall. Molly knew that her lifelong friend had evolved, although she still did not know for sure what kind of pokemon he was. In their excitement the pair embraced in a huge bear hug and Molly knew that everything would be okay. She couldn't help but sneak a kiss to her pokemon friend.

Now, in this pokemon world it was not unheard of for a human and a pokemon to marry, and to even have hybrid children known as Pokejinkas. The people of Musille, however, believed for such a thing to be the most disgusting and dirtiest of all things that a person could do. But Molly and Robby were in love, and nothing could keep them apart.

For many months Molly refused to marry any of the boys of Musille and for many months she would put up under the watchful eyes of her parents only to sneak off to be with Robby by night. But as has been stated many times in this story before, nothing remains the same forever and one day change did come for Molly and Robby.

It was this change that caused the three great horrors for Molly's parents. The first horror was that Molly was pregnant. In Musille it was strictly forbidden and frowned upon for a girl to have a child when she wasn't married. But Molly never married and never revealed who the father was so her parents were forced to deal with the disgrace of their daughter.

The second horror was when the baby was born and instantly they realized that it was a half-pokemon child. Immediately Molly's parents threatened to disown her unless she dumped her baby and its father and never made contact with them again. They took that back as soon as the third horror hit. This last of their agonies was the most terrible of all and as soon as it had fully sunk in Molly's parents turned her away. They were so disgraced that they never spoke to Molly again and even denied that she ever existed. Molly was kicked out of the city permanently, never was she nor any of her descendents allowed anywhere near Musille ever again. But what horror could be so terrible that it would plague the pristine palace of Musille in such a devastating way? The horror was the little baby boy that Molly had given birth to.

    He was half trubbish.
