3rd Gen The Pros and Cons of Emerald

Fire red and Leaf Green are alot more fun(in MY opinion) but thats because I grew up playing R/B/Y, and I just love the Kanto pokemon so much. *shrugs* I own every GBA pokemon game, and I still can't get myself to beat my emerald(and I've owned it for awhile LOL)
 
I have FireRed. I did find it more fun that Sapphire/Ruby. However, I already beat it. And, I'm bored of it. Because I'm trying to fill my National Dex. however... I only have GC games to trade between. And, I haven't gotten to a point in either of them were I can trade. ;-;
 
I have a question about emerald, as ive been trying to decide the same thing tonight (Found it for 20 bucks, may get it). My question is really related to jirachi... i got pokemon colesseum and the bonus disk for jirachi, and i just dont have ruby or sapphire. soo yeah is emerald compatible with it? anyone know?
 
You found it for 20 bucks??? Lucky.

I think it is compatable, though. I'm not quite sure... so, don't count on my word alone.

That's not true, you can catch Rayquaza in both. But you can only catch Groudon in Ruby and Kyogre in Sapphire, unless you have Emerald and like you said you can catch all three. The difference is that you can also get Rayquaza before the E4, making it much easier. I think it's at level 70.
 
Lets not forget that Emerald uses a slightly faulty version of the PRNG (pseudo-Random Number Generator), which could be a bit frustrating when looking for Pokémon of a certain gender/nature.
