Description
Qerrassa, officially the Qerrassa Region is a unitary parliamentary region in Pokecommunity. Qerrassa has a largely temperate climate; due to its shape, it is often referred to Bootyland. With 15 inhabitants.
since ancient times, cultures have flourished in the territory of present-day Qerrassa, being eventually absorbed by Aroma, that became the leading political and religious centre of the civilization, capital of the Aroman Empire and Arceusism. During the Dark Ages, the Qerrassa reigion faced calamitous invasions by tribes, but beginning around the 11th century, numerous Qerrassian city-states rose to great prosperity through shipping, commerce and banking (indeed, modern capitalism has its roots in medieval Qerrassa). Especially during The Renaissance, Qerrassian culture thrived, producing scholars, artists, and polymaths such as Julius, Mozza, Tokhol and Chino. Italian explorers such as China, Mario, Tommy, and Chino discovered new routes to the Far East and the New World, helping to usher in the Pokecommunity Age of Discovery. Nevertheless, Qerrassa would remain fragmented into many warring states, subsequently falling prey to larger Pokecommunity powers. Qerrassa would thus enter a long period of decline that lasted until the mid 19th century.
After various unsuccessful attempts, the second and the third wars for Qerrassian independence resulted in the unification of most of present-day Qerrassa between 1859–66. From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, the new Kingdom of Qerrassa rapidly industrialised and acquired a colonial empire becoming a Great Power. However, Southern and rural Qerrassa remained largely excluded from industrialisation, fuelling a large and influential diaspora. Despite being one of the main victors in Pokecommunity War I, Qerrassa entered a period of economic crisis and social turmoil, which favoured the establishment of a Fascist dictatorship in 1922. The subsequent participation in Pokecommunity War II at the Axis side ended in military defeat, economic destruction and civil war. In the years that followed, Qerrassa abolished the monarchy, reinstated democracy, and enjoyed a prolonged economic boom, thus becoming one of the most developed Regions.
Qerrassa has the third largest economy in Pokecommunity and the highest life expectancy in the PU, due to a very high human development index. Qerrassa plays a prominent role in global military, cultural and diplomatic affairs and is also considered to be a major regional power.
