Forgot to post this months ago, but liquid crystal run has been done!
Loved this team, and will plan to use them again when theyre available. Meganium, who I normally pass over for Typhlosion, turned out to be one of my favorite Grass types. Ive used Flareon before and it did well. Xatu Ive also used, but never in this generation, and it was one of my go tos. Donphan I think just became one of my favorite pokemon, solid all around. Mantine was ok, nothing bad. Stantler was the only one I had issues with, simply because of its move pool.

So far, I've been making very good progress!

After finishing the starter story stuff, I managed to catch a Female Ledyba earlier. I've been intensely training her since, and I also just caught the Male Hoothoot, so I'm working on training them now. I also went to the first city and answered Primo's code, since he offers a Slugma egg (which I was rolled a Magcargo so..)

Update 1:

Spoiler:

-Did beginning story crap, picked Cyndaquil as my starter and first Pokemon. Named him NyQuil.
-Made my way to Mr. Pokemon's house, receiving the Running Shoes from a creepy old guy.
-After getting the Pokedex, got a call from Elm saying someone stole a Pokemon from him.
-On my way back to Elm's lab, fought some ginger kid with a Totodile. NyQuil won because the Totodile did nothing but use Leer.
-Talked to Elm and headed back out.
-Lyra showed me how to catch a Pokemon and gave me balls.
-Caught a Rattata and named him TopRat.
-With the powers of the 3DS settings, changed the time to the afternoon and caught a Pidgey. Named her KFC.
-Made my way through Routes 30 and 31, fighting trainers and leveling my party.
-In Violet City, explored Sprout Tower and fought the monks there.
-Fought the gym trainers in Falkner's gym before fighting Falkner himself. He wasn't too much of a challenge, with Rattata using Tail Whip a few times before downing Pidgey, and Cyndaquil burning Pidgeotto with Ember before finishing him off.
