    =) Heya, all. Nice to see you stumble on to my random poll thread. o_o; Anyways. You have six choices, pick one that appeals to you. -picks Stantler-
     
    I picked scyther, for obvius reasons.
     
    I picked Lugia cus he is definatly the best out of them ones

    Gyarados because it's a water Pokemon, my favorite.
     
    This is pretty random. Um, well I picked Lugia because it does have sort of an appealing beauty to it and is quite intriguing. Yep.
     
    Sudowoodo is also my pick... why? well let me explain.

    With the exception to Lugia and possibly Feraligatr, one counter is all it'll take for Sudowoodo to give all the others a nice friendly OHKO. Scyther will most likely rely on subversal to win, but with 350+ def and 300 hp, Counter will come through. Gyarados can be destroyed by rock slide, and counter will once again overcome Gyarados's earthquake. Stantler will have to rely on Hypnosis to do anything O.o; so it'll come to luck regarding that thing and when to wake up.

    Feraligatr with hydro pump to mix sweep will most likely be Sudowoodo's demise, and Lugia is just an ubar so I won't even bother with it. Overall, Sudowoodo has an advantage over most of the others (ignoring darn ubars) and so my vote goes to Sudowoodo.
     
    Gyarados!! I love Gyarados, it's awesome. It's one of my stronger Pokemon in silver. I woulda picked Scyther... but Gyarados caught my eye and I clicked before thinking! O_o;
     
    Ehh, Frostwever, why do you say Stantler depends on hypnosis to do anything? @_@ I had a Stantler on my team and it wa the strongest out of them all... without using hypnosis...

    Whatever Stantler can do without hypnosis offensive wise, Tauros can do it much better also with intimidate, higher attack power and a much better speed. Only difference between the two is that Stantler can learn Shadowball, but that doesn't worth the stats difference

    Stantler's defensive moves are rather wasted as its stats aren't that tank-y anyway. You can use it to calm mind I suppose, but then it's once again thunderbolt/psychic or extrasensory, so why not let's just leave the calm minding job to Gardevoir and other better Pokemon...

    As an annoyer, there's also better choices. There's a lot of better Pokemon who can learn confuse ray and thunderwave/toxic.

    The only thing that's making Stantler unique is Hypnosis. Close to no other Pokemon can do the same thing AND is able to use a sleep-status move like Stantler (only mega OUs like Gengar can do the same job). Hypnosis is also indicated as its signature move in the old Pokedex entries., so why not use it?

    Really there isn't much point to use a Pokemon in battle, if its moveset can be directly transferred on to someone else, and that someone else can use it much better.
