I dug this file up from when I was a lot younger. Is it even near-decent fan-fiction material? I won't be offended if you say it is scarily terrible, because I was young after all. Expect to find a plethora of spelling errors and uncanonical material!
I scuttled along the rocky barren slope of Mt. Pyre. A Vulpix ran across the road, making me stumble. I ducked out behind a rock, avoiding the gaze of a hardy looking Hiker, and choked as dust blew into my face. I wanted the red orb.
Combined with the blue orb, peace would always be within Hoenn. You see, there was once a great battle with two incredibly strong pokemon- Groudon and Kyogre. If the red orb was taken for the wrong reasons, it would start all over again. I'm no hero, but I don't want legendary pokemon romping around everywhere. But the captain of Team Magma, Maxie, wanted it as much as I did, but for a much different reason.
He wanted Groudon, the pokemon of ground and fire, to rise from the lava in the Cave of Origin, and after capturing it, possibly be the strongest trainer in the world. Come to think about it, I would like to do that, but I think something else would happen. Something much more sinister...
Anyway, I look up, and see something very red and spherical glowing on a rock. I run forward, but instead of finding the orb, and leering face stares down at me. Maxie's face. He has a cigarette. Before blowing out the dull grey smoke, he lazily tastes it on his tongue. The words seem to escape his mouth before he says them.
"Long time no see, eh?" He smiled evilly.
"Definitely, old friend," I spat, remembering countless times I had foiled team magma's plans.
"Too many times you have stopped me. It will all end now. A battle to finish it all."
"Yes, and you're final plan - gone." I replied, getting my first pokeball ready in my hand.
"Go, Donphan!" his cry echoed on the mountain…..
Our last pokemon, mine Azumarril, and his Camerupt, had one final attack and they both fainted.
"What?" Maxie's frustrated cry echoed once more around the mountain. But then, without further ado, a pidgeot saw the red orb that now we were fighting over, swooped down, and plucked it from our scrambling hands. I took out a revive from my backpack, and Azumarril was awake again. I went on her back, and jumped down the cliff into the water, chasing the pidgeot, and Maxie got on the back of a Fearow.
We raced, for what seemed like hours, until we arrived at Sootopolis City. A well placed surf attack from my Azumarril sent the Pidgeot crashing to the ground. Even though Maxie took the orb from the Pidgeot's beak, I was hot on his heels. We reached the Cave of Origin, and ran in. Dodging around boulders, and jumping over ledges we hurtled through the cave.
We finally reached a giant mass of lava. Maxie rose up the red orb, and shouted
"Groudon, I summon you!" But instead of it coming to be captured, there was a giant rumble. Groudon, giant and menacing towered up, crushing boulders with its enormous feet.
"Now look what you've done!" I yelled, as the rumbling rose up to a great multitude. Then there was a blinding flash of light. I wanted to open my eyes, to see what was happening, but I knew I really would be blinded. When it ceased, I opened my eyes. Groudon was gone.
